Oh my gosh you are a saint!!! I have an APU and it wasn’t working no matter what I did and I couldn’t get the heat to stay on! I can’t believe it, I’m not cold anymore and waking up to seeing my breath after the snow in Wyoming a few days ago! Oh man my toes love you, my nose loves you, my freezing hands love you I really can’t say thank you enough.
Didn't you think asking your company how it works or calling volvo to ask them.? You needed a yt video for that? Just asking man

@nicklopez5298 the bunk heater will tell the truck to turn on automatically if the battery gets low

lol. After freezing all last winter. My companies trucks idle shutdown is set for 30 fahrenheit. THANK YOU FOR THIS!

I've been assigned trucks from EVERY manufacturer, this was the LEAST obvious way to start the bunk heater.
LOVE the Volvo, but they could've done a better job here.

Mine starts, I can hear it running very weak but it blows cabin air without heating it. Sometimes it works, sometimes not. One day it starts and very hot air comes out of it but it turns off itself
Might have to get it checked out by a shop.

What about A/C. I have the same truck as this one but there is only a function for heater nothing for A/C.
Do I have to keep the truck running in night to run A/C or there is some other option?
My boss told me have to run engine for a/c
It’s for heat only.
If you want AC you have to run engine or you have to have APU behind the truck with its own diesel tank.

Another question since you seem very informative - it's a long shot, I have a volvo vnl 860 2021, I've been averaging 5.8 mpg.
Of course I drive 75mph most of the day.
But that mpg seems very low to me.
I've had a volvo 2017, drove the same way averaged 7.6 mpg . I've have a Peterbilt 579 2020 drove the same way an average 7.0 mpg. So my question is this, is 5.6 mpg is what I'm supposed to average in a volvo?
Probably your fuel injectors are getting bad

it should. but depending on if u have a apu. it will start going off

Yes a click very 4 or 5 seconds is good means you won't freeze your butt

Ok so it worked but in only last like 10 minutes and I froze my ass off. Not sure how to keep it running. It's on low voltage, is anyone else having this issue

Just FYI key on is a programmable feature. All 10 of our Volvo's you can run the engine and have bunk heater on......My Peterbilt on the other hand turns off when key comes on. Other than that TERRIFIC video
I can’t find a video that shows me how to make it cool instead of hot.
It only keeps it hot. You can turn thr knob to the cold side and that will make it to where its not kicking you out of your truck
Bunk AC is a different unit control panel.
I don't know what's wrong with my darn heater I wake every morning up every morning freezing it will not turn on

@@TravelWithRick313 mine has a little thermostat to the right of the hot and cold dial and I've turned it up to 85 and still nothing and my dam truck shuts off after 5 minutes so I can't even leave the truck running for heat. I'm freezing again. I was in Pa. Last night and woke up at same time freezing. I took it to our shop and they said batteries r brand new
Yet the thermostat is beeping so I shut it off cause someone said it beeps if low battery.
The battery is reading 12.7

u can set the time for 10 hours. the lvd is there so u dont wake up to a dead battery in the truck
