- Опубликовано: 16 июл 2024
- In this Logic Pro Tips video, Jono Buchanan explains the principles of subtractive synthesis. You'll learn the five modules used in subtractive synthesis, including the oscillator, filter, amplifier, LFO and envelopes, and the vital roles they all play in generating sound. You'll then see how these principles are applied to Logic Pro's Retro Synth, and how you can use them to create and manipulate new sounds.

Now I understand subtractive synthesis.
Thanks.
The best teacher ever. I am amazed!
Best lecturer ever!
Fantastic video! You're an excellent teacher. Thanks so much for sharing the knowledge 🙏 Keep these coming!
This is the first time I finally understood Subtractive Synthesis. Best explanation I’ve seen.
An excellent explanation in a language everyone can understand, even me. Thank you.🙂
This was the best video I’ve seen on this. And right inside Logic Pro! Thank you so much!
This channel is gold... they definitely deserve way more subscribers for all this free information and masterclasses.. !
Made it very understandable. Much appreciated.
I think I’ve learned SO MUCH from this video alone.. PLEASE do more videos! Amazing content!
Thanks James. I have and I do... ;) I've got my own channel now, so come and join me there: ruclips.net/channel/UC-RFQtqWAG6kFPRkumqn7rA
Probably the best tutor on youtube
Amazing video again. By far the most useful videos for logic
Nothing short of brilliant! Teaching at its very best.
Excellent tutorial
Thank you!!! Hands down the best Logic teacher on RUclips if not throughout the known universe.
Your videos are great Jono. Looking forward to watching more of your playlists!
GREAT VIDEO! Explained everything thoroughly thank you Jono
So much information explained so clearly and concisely wins you the gold medal! :)
Amazing video you are the best teacher ever I think you could teach quantic physics to a 2 year-old!
Very well-organized tutorial! 🤌🏻
Thank you 🙏🏻
Hey, absolutely marvellous! What a great way to explain subtractive synthesis and finally I feel I can get to grips with using the synth properly? I had no idea about any of this but it all makes so much sense now! Dr Who soundtrack here I come😜 Thanks Jono for a really great video.
Really excellent class - thank you!
Thank you, excellent educational video
Great tutorial! You’re an awesome teacher. One thing though - I think tone is also at the oscillator stage. Harmonics are what define the tone of a sound.
Excellent !!
Nailed it as always! Logic teacher!
brilliant .....Thanks mate!
Excellent video.
I didn't learn anything, I play with synths since more than 40 years, but the way you explain the raw principles is realy good.
Thank you very much, I would love to have internet 40 years ago 🙂
(I'm not sure younger generations have an idea about how lucky they are)
Brilliant!
Superb!
I LOVE THIS.....it's sooooooo goood....💖
Bravo!!!!
Concentric means same center.
He's the best....and sooo handsome too

What's with this term "Subtractive Synthesis" reference you just basically described the basic principles of how most Synth's work? Your explanation of the basic principles of Synth's was good. But it seems like you are trying to coin a new phrase to capture an audience. If I am wrong please explain your new definition of "Subtractive Synthesis" I have worked with many Synth's for a number of years and I have never heard of "Subtractive Synthesis". So what's the difference between "Subtractive Synthesis" & General understanding of how Synth's work?
Thx
