these are my fav tutorials - I am terribly adhd and can't make it through most RUclips tutorials but I take notes and watch each and every one of these all the way through! perfect teaching style: broad outline of topic, demonstration of the elements and ending with a recap. thank you so much for these.
Wow, this is an incredibly helpful video. I never really quite understood what the glue tool was used for-thanks! Also, I learned a couple of new shortcuts: [shift]-S to select all the modulation or expression data without touching the notes. [shift]-[option]-N to rename a clip is useful too!
my mind was blown by this too! I thought "joining" was basically all that the glue tool was for and now I'm imagining all the different things I could be gluing!
Great video, thanks! What's the controller you're using? The little grey box controlling the MIDI data? I have been looking for something similar. Cheers!
Yes! Few others demo how to use Logic's notation tools. It would be nice to be able to prepare vocal lead sheets to go along with the recorded instrumentals.
Well, I have a very specific question, how can I map a track to a midi controller? I want to tap for example a specific pad at the midi controller and that Logic automatically select a track, this in order to be able of playing keys with the sound assigned to that track. What I want to do is to play live the midi keyboard with Logic pro sounds and change them the more easily possible, or do you have a better idea to achieve that
Excellent - very helpful - thankyou. Another thing that would be highly useful is a quicker better way to remap articulation data between sample libraries.
Hi Jono! I'm a fan of yours from Argentina. I always find interesting your videos. Thxs for share your knowledge. I have only one question... It won't be the same (regarding glue MIDI) if you just record the data in the violin and after that you enter to de Automatization and copy all nodes in eg. modulation and paste it to the others tracks..?? Regards!
Wow! That's so cool! And such a difference to the emotional sound of the piece after the midi data change. I unfortunatly don't have any expression sliders as yet nut can this still be achieved with a midi keyboard? Can you recommend any reasonably priced expression sliders if I can't use my existing keyboard? It's a Arturia 49 key essentials.

Great tutorial Jono! Could you also tell us which dynamic controller (the one with faders on your left) you're using?

Awesome Jono.... Thanks!
Really nice! I will use this.
Great tutorial, this is super useful! thanks!
Nice lesson.. the alternative would be to record the modulation and expression data as automation tracks
Very helpful! I had never bothered to learn what the Glue tool is for. Interesting workflow! Also, Shift-S in the List Editor is great. Thanks.
Nice video, thanks!
2 track on the same intrument: Great tip, I didn't know this possibility existed, thank you very much, your videos are always very interesting
This is fantastic! Thank you 1000 times.
I had no idea you could do this! Thanks Jono!
Great tutorial. Would it be possible to do a tutorial how to prepare this piece in the Score Editor for print ?

This is so helpful, thanks!
fantastic. thank you.
What’s the name of the controller you’re using? Thanks.
How are you modulating/expressing the strings with your fader? How did you set that up?
What make of midi slider are you using John? I need one and most of them have far too many faders etc. Any one else got any suggestions. THanks!
Cool Tricks. my question is if I Summing stack 4 instruments and put automation on the summing track would it be the same result?
Thank you 🙏🏾

You can automate it if you don’t have a physical controller.
epic!
Couldn’t you have put them all into a track stack and recorded the cc’s on that?
🙏🙏🙏
this is super useful! thanks!
