“I never named him”
“Ah that would kill anyone”
As a fishkeeper, this is one of the funniest stories I've heard. Sal most likely crashed his cycle by deep cleaning the tank, and the fish died from ammonia poisoning. Keeping it in the freezer for 12 years is wild!! I think it's time to let go Sal
The "white" that Fish get is the "ick"... right?
The way he says “funeral” is nuts lol
It's a callback to a joke earlier in the episode, he doesn't actually say "fun-eral.
Fun-eral because it’s a Fun Funeral.
You’re telling me that he has a frozen fish and exploding Prince Herb beer in his freezer/refrigerator?
that's actually wild hahaha
We had a goldfish that lived for like 7 or 8 years , the first few years of it's life being in a plastic opaque 1 gallon ice cream bucket. We slowly upgraded through the years, but he never had a bubbler or a filter, but we would change the water. Jaws was his name. My dad would talk to it alot. RIP
I had a goldfish that lived to 15 years. Grew to the size of a grapefruit. Named Angel. Had a giant 4500gal tank, but ended up getting fin rot, and it would kind of just float through the water... Like a sad piece of golden trash
thats very sad
4500 gallons is fucking massive bro, what kinda dimensions does that have? And how can you have something that spectacular only to house a goldfish😂
@@dylanknapp6462 😄😂😂 it may have been 12x 16 feet. (Enough to fit a water truck load) We had a 3 foot ledge around the perimeter and the overall depth was about 5 feet deep. I forgot to mention that the pond was also shared with about 20 koi fish, all ranging in age from 10-15 years old. Each koi, about 16 inches long and would eat out of your hand!! ✋
😂😂
😂 RIP
I always have so much anxiety listening to Sal tell any story. He looks worried and has the weirdest pauses lol
Because he’s a liar.
Cocaine bruh
What?
Damn this comment and repliers is the idiot brigade 😂 Sal is one of the best humans. F off
You should get out more buddy.
The sad to funny ratio of this episode is off the charts omg now I understand why Sal was always frowning the worst haha
Theo really said, “like sex trafficking without the sex”😂😂
Sal talks like he’s always on coke 😂
I was thinking crack but same difference 😂
My hubby got me a fish for my back surgery while dating. His mom watched it while i recovered and thought it was cold so she put a light on it and cooked it to death. He got me a replacement and asked my mom to watch it for our honeymoon week. Came back and she said she didnt feel like feeding it so she flushed it ALIVE. 😢
Wtf
your moms are based
Terrible 😢😅
Theo - "It coauld've had toxic shock from moving around too much"
Sal - "No this fish is dead"
He obviously meant "BEFORE IT DIED" genius lmao
Didn't even put it in a freezer bag!! What a monster 😠
Sal's got those Ozempic eyes....
Think he’s a liberal or republican?
I have a weird feeling there are going to be gnarly unforeseen consequences for people taking Ozempic without diabetes. I don’t know what those consequences will be, but I don’t think it’ll be good. I’m obviously no doctor, but I feel like it just interacts with diabetics in a healthier and more predictable way than it does people taking it as some so-called “wonder drug.” From the people I know who use it to manage diabetes, they don’t have any of the side effects people who take it for weight loss report. One girl I knew, who took it to lose weight, said she she lost a good amount of weight, but even though she was on a lower dose than was recommended she take, she was just nauseas and sick as hell all the time and basically lost weight because she was so sick she couldn’t eat, so she was basically just starving herself for X months. Then she gained some of the weight back anyway. I don’t think I’d do it…
Tf is that
When my first dog died i literally kept her favorite toy in my car for 6 years
Sal is the first gold fish human rights activist I’ve ever seen 💀
I havnt seen Theo laugh as much in an episode in a while
I loved this pod. I can't wait to see him on Rogan.🔥👍🏼
So you just keep a couple grams of fish in the freezer?
Dude this was the funniest part of the whole thing lol.
Theo is insane 😅
The look Sal gave when he said it's not in water bahaha
I love Sal and his compassion. That being said...I was raised a Carny and the fish bowl was one of the most profitable games on the Midway
I think Sal is blowing a lot more than bubbles.
Kurt coke 😂🎉
The only fish I ever had was also a carnival goldfish, which I kept in a big glass cup… and also fed it white bread & pieces of chocolate chip cookies. I loved that lil fish but he only lasted like 3ish days before he got a glorious traditional q-tip box burial in the flower bed. RIP Chester💔 you were a legend for 72hrs
One of the top white trash comments ive ever read.
The fish can be seen on Hey Babe 😂
bro played goldfish beer pong
Wait til Sal hears "we had a lunch lady in here"
fish is allot of work man!
Theo, I don't think that's what Toxic Shock Syndrome is haha
*Theo makes a funny joke
Sal: “😀…😐so anyways”
Never!! Put fish in tap water the water has to be cycled with conditioner for 2 to 4 weeks lmao no wonder his fish kept dying 😂 love you Sal
this could of been a bit Sal could use in Stand Up. All those things about the poor goldfish was good
This is so facts about the goldfish😂
I've had a goldfish for 15 years
my beta is about 9 years old, idk how its still alive but it turned grey last year, its probably on hospice care right now.
Goldfish memory erases every 5 seconds they say
No… no, they don’t.
They can actually learn tricks. A guy sells a kit with basketball hoops and stuff 😂
@@rbwkn yeah I just found out they can remember up to a month, just wasn't gonna give the d-bag above ya the satisfaction lol
I watched a video here on RUclips today from Dodo where NOT ONLY did they teach goldfish -- the two in question were named Mister Darcy and Mister Wickham, lol -- to GAME (I think it might've been basketball), but, also had taught both these fish to complete an obstacle course (or courses), and, most IMPRESSIVELY made these fish these little carts in that they are, essentially, little tanks on wheels these fish learned and/or were taught to drive/control, totally on their own...similar, to using like a carrot to guide an equine except for the direction the animal goes for its carrot, would be the direction that it would also pull the cart, opposed to whatever direction the human driver would want it and steer it to go. The fish would just go for a walk, outside or to the park completely on its own with little to no supervision (besides the film crew, and after a human lets the fish outside, through opening the front door for it, or, whatever may be the case, etc...lol)! So, don't sleep on goldfish, anymore: there is way more to them, than simply meets the fishy eye, or that can be seen through that goldfisheye lens we humans've used limiting or reducing their worlds, to a tiny aquarium, a meager transparent glass goldfish bowl, the red solo cup still smelling of stale cheap beer and the sad frat beer pong tournament it had been used in the night before, or to getting flushed down the crapper, after either an embarrassingly short, unfulfilling, uneventful, life of torture, or a longer, but not much respectful, or respected, life, for skin or scale or foot or fin or water or air or bubbling or blubbering or silent and voiceless or a blabbering loudmouth, it getting in the end what we so casually and/or coyly (if you'll pardon the pun lol!) like to call a "burial at sea"!
@@kennethmullen-qe9hg 😂 bro👏
How can on one had Sal be so switched on when it comes to owning a goldfish, talking about how it came up to be fed each day and how tame and friendly it had become. And on the other hand still think that Goldfish don't have a memory, or even the most commonly repeated phrase of only having a 3 second memory??
They have to have at the very very least a 24hr memory if they know their feeding time and that you're about to feed them. But it has to exceed that to well over a week for it to be capable of becoming friendly. You can't tame something that can't retain a memory.
I just watched a video by Dodo about a team of scientists studying Goldfish memory and they said they have a memory of a year. They've trained Goldfish to drive their own little fishtanks with wheels, they drive, steer and navigate on their own under their own volition. Its probably the greatest thing I've ever seen in my life.
There was also a commercial for a pet toy product that looks like it may have been from the 90's thats a package to train your Goldfish to do tricks. The fish in the ad was doing all sorts of things on command the same as in dog obstacle competitions. There was a little half soccer field and goals with a tiny soccer ball that the fish played with. It could shoot hoops and had different things to maneuver through.
I think one of the reasons for the myth is so people didn't think they had to take the responsibility like would other pets, and not feel as guilty when they flushed them down the toilet. They said fish have had the same amount of time evolving as Humans have except in a totally different environment thats so foreign to us. And that fish are exceptionally intelligent and smart. Anyone thats ever kept fish and payed any attention would know that.
I had a gold fish my friend won in that game that we adopted when he went to college. We (mostly my mom) kept it alive for about 2 years in nothing but tap water in a glass bowl. My friend took it back, it died within a week. Tragedy.
The good bacteria was killed and he died of ammonia poisining
They thrive on filth. Just like carp/koi and tilapia.
I had multiple dart frogs in my freezer for quite a few years lol...they're buried now.
Years back My dad came home with a “pet” tarantula and after a year or so the tarantula had ended up dying and we kept it in a jar with alcohol in it, it perfectly preserved his body even after 15+ years I still have him, his name was “ojos” Spanish for eyes 😂
We had goldfish for like 10 years, they got huge.
The more space they have, the bigger they get.
@@flipflopgirl84-su6lm That’s what everyone told me but they didn’t even have a big tank, just a standard little 20 gallon or whatever everyone has. They both got to about a foot long and pretty much took up the whole tank so I ended up giving them to a relative with an outside pond.
Lol we had a fair like that at my summer camp me and my siblings came home with like 100 goldfish most were dead within a month 😂
My kids won 2, they're now in a 50 gallon tank in my living room. 14 years later.. ughh
Gold fish can live up to 20 years with proper care, which is simple; food/clean water. I had two for almost ten years we got at a fair, then we just transfered them to my Aunt who had a pond in her backyard and they continued on there with her others, for IDK how much longer. They change body size, to larger, depending on where they move to.
We need to put an end to sex trafficking goldfish
All roads for Theo lead to the carnival or a town fair
I hear gold fish just keep growing if there in the environment that allows it, imagine a 70 pound Nemo… that’s scary 😂😂😂
Sal does seem he’s on Coke. Lols
I got goldfish from the county fair that my sister and I had for like 7 freaking years. They got almost 10 inches long
I have 12 goldfish and 300 gallons in tanks in my basement. Sal is right they are super personal and have personalities.
What likely happened is the water treatment plant was flushing out the pipes with chemicals when you were doing a water change.
I was hoping he was going to end the story by saying he or someone else mistakenly ate the fish! .. that would have been awesome!!😂
I buried my goldfish candlelight cemetery I was like 9 I was traumatized 😂
Heckle fish
What is with Sal and fish? He had the dead pet fish in his freezer up until like a year ago… lol Oh, it is the same fish they opened up on the podcast. I thought he finally buried it then
good story time.
Man what an INSANE story it almost kept me awake
i could not tell if he was joking or not. 😂
I love Sal
I met my best friend 15 years ago at a fair, I won a goldfish and he told me he knew how to fry it in a spoon 😂 friends ever since
Sal is so funny
Eh
10:45 "Fun"eral? Strange pronunciation 😅
Stallone still has the gold fish from the Ricky movie. The first one
Those Ricky Movies are classics...
Do yourself a favor and watch the episode on Hey Babe that they bring the goldfish out.
You boys are mad 😂😊🥪
Man, my mother did thing with my last dog, just had it in the freezer WITH OUR FOOD for a couple years
Bro what lol
Theo is from Louisiana and didn't know about "school fairs"? Even if your school didn't have it they are everywhere
Im from the UK n won my son a goldfish at the local fair, his name was Darwin. They we're known to die within days "usualy" but Darwin lasted 2 yrs!! I saved his life 3 times,. twice he'd attenpted suicide by jumpin out of his bowl n i found him just in time, n the last time i'd found him floatin upside down. So i stuck my hand in n massaged him back to life,..
While i felt like i did a good thing, i always wondered if he hated me for bringin him back, 3 times!! 🤔
He died for real a few months later,. Longest livin fair fish EVER!! 💗
😂 they have no platform, no voice.
I've never er thrown the goldfish back up
That's a waste
Hes talking to a guy who looks like a carny, has recently had awesome discussions with a legend carny, has he never watched these pod?
That’s interesting that he didn’t name his fish, there’s power in a name. Say what you will but there’s legal power, spiritual power...that’s all I can think of but these examples can’t be ignored. Just saying.
Still having the fish in your freezer isn’t funny or quirky it’s just sad and weird
“People eat em and throw em up”... I can’t say I don’t have a video of myself doing that on RUclips... Look up “ The resurrection of Dr.Gonzo”...that’s me 😅 I was 18 years old and I’m 35 now. Give me a break.
No way lol
A gave my gold fish wee crumbs of a ecstasy Tab about half of a Quarter Tab he was buzzing he like it a think died after that but what a way to go
RIP JIMMY GOLDEN
Haha is that impractical jokers
I love Sal but he’s been retelling the same 3 stories for the past 10 years like give it a rest 😭
If you are removing the fish from the tank to clean you’re doing it wrong … cool story tho
I won a goldfish at a fair and put in a bong then smoked it out so many times
Wait what lol.. you put the fish in the bongwater? 😅😅😅
Bro you were inhaling fish waste 😅 omg lol
no one says anything when a man say fun er al?
HOW VILE! also reminds me why I don't eat food from potlucks. I'd hate to see what the rest of this dude's house looks like or the rest of his fridge. Does he not care about sanitation? He didn't even have it wrapped in a ziplock or airtight container. Just a little piece of foil, and where he keeps other food to eat?! I would be so embarrassed or ashamed telling this story. Honestly it sounds like a story you'd hear come out of a loony bin or a nursing home for patients with alzheimers. I don't even think a child would do something this gross or stupid. And he put it BACK after it was thawing?? For 15 years?? After he saw it was already deteriorating? I'd be checking his basement for bodies. I don't who know this dirty person is but remind me to not go to his house for dinner! This is jist not normal behavior! 🤮 🤮 🤮
it’s frozen mate. stop being a squeamish old boomer.
@@timyingus5681 Still gross. Frozen doesn't equal magic. Over time things will get gross lol. And I'm 2y so. Wrong on all your accounts there.
BAHAHAHAA omggg I’m keeping my beloved Nugget the Goldfish in my freezer when she dies hahahahahahaha
WHAT ABOUT HIS EYES????
Lemme guess: he stuck it up his own @$$
Its only disrespectful because cats and dogs wont fit down the drain. Oh well
Yoooo..... why does theo remind me of Georgie from Young Shelton?
Gold fish actually DO have memories. However, _y'all_ are the ones that keep on forgetting that Google exists for researching questions, right?? 😂😂😂
you trust google?😂🍻
Imagine thinking they're going to stop to "dO rEsEaRcH" in the middle of a podcast interview.
google hadn’t been invented when we were kids
@@littlejackalo5326sexy red did it 🤷♂️
Did they ask the goldfish what it remembers ? Most research is just guessing and everyone has different opinions on things.
Sal you killed the beneficial bacteria when you cleaned the entire tank. the vast majority of beneficial bacteria lives on substrate and decorations.
He didn't know how to clean his aquarium was the problem. You don't scrub the whole aquarium, the bacteria that supports the eco system is in the gravel. You don't take the fish out. Cleaning it that way ruined the aquarium cycle. Dude has no clue how to keep fish.
Saddest most pathetic story I've ever heard....
I threw a hamster in the garbage once
This guy was the worst part of the show. Why does he get all the publicity?
Whatever man! Your opinion. You have the worst comment in here. You can’t even do that and you’re judging a successful comic and good guy. Stfu
I ate my first carnie goldfish win... I kinda feel bad. I just said I'ma eat this shit.. poor bastard didn't stand a chance. I ate him poop and all live af.
They get bonked on the head and half knocked out, by ping pong balls at Carnivals and Fair's. 🐠🧡🎡
