- Waxing a car by hand involves applying wax to the car's surface using a wax applicator pad and then buffing it off with a microfiber towel. While this process is more time-consuming, it allows for a greater level of control and precision over the waxing process. By using your hands, you can feel the texture of the car's surface and apply the wax evenly across the entire surface. Additionally, hand waxing allows you to pay special attention to intricate or hard-to-reach areas, ensuring that your car has an even coat of wax all around.
On the other hand, using a machine polisher to wax your car can be a more efficient and quicker process. The machine polisher helps to spread the wax more evenly and at a faster rate than doing it by hand. This can be especially useful if you have a larger car or if you're a professional detailer who needs to wax cars quickly and efficiently. Machine polishers also allow you to use less wax than hand waxing, as they can spread the wax more thinly across the car's surface, reducing the amount of waste and saving you money in the long run. However, using a machine polisher requires some skill and experience, as it's possible to damage the car's paint if the machine is used incorrectly or at too high of a speed.

I think that doing it by hand is more likely to apply too much wax. Using my orbital, I find I use less wax and therefore it's easier to remove.
Buffer is better. Human hand leaves streaks and people wear out in first 5 minutes leaving miss matched results
. Machine is consistent like man in video states
I used a griots 3 inch DA with the red pad and used the Turtle Wax 75th Graphene Paste wax on my Durango last week. Omg the ease of application and the thin application with a DA. I received much better results with a DA application vs hand. I'm using a DA and canned paste wax from now on. Probably going to get a wireless DA to save the hassle of running a cord.
I hate waxing since my vehicles are large and tall so it’s machine for me. Collinite
I always see people buffing the wax by hand after the wax has flashed, would it be okay to use a machine to also buff the wax after applying it instead?
Its better to buff by hand
Do you folks sell a wax stick that pops up like a deodorant stick so its easy to put on the buffer pad?
