After almost 40 years, people are still discovering one of the finest bands ever.
yep somehow crazy =)
Not gonna lie. I'm impressed by these bands. Today's musician would be irrelevant after 3 years of inactivity
I'm almost 50 years old and raised my kids on Maiden! Lol!
Their concerts even to this day are still full of people in their teens and early twenties.
ruclips.net/video/5atbxR49Dys/видео.html I play drums in a band and cover some Iron Maiden
Iron Maiden is a journey which spans 4 decades and beyond. Welcome.
I'm in for 36 years... and I'm glad.

@@Chris_Clark1MaidenFan You are my Brother in Metal Heart - like the song of German group Accept. We are THY and Those METAL GENERATION, still alive and still listening this IMMORTAL music and transfering it to our sons and daughters.
@@robertozakinja4291 goddam.
Church bells ring and set the scene of a prisoner awaiting alone in a cold cell contemplating his life, knowing his death is coming.
The final 5 stages of grief run through this man.
*Denial, anger, bargaining, depression, and acceptance.*
*Denial:* "Can it be that there's some sort of error
hard to stop the surmounting terror
Is it really the end, not some crazy dream?"
Here we have the prisoner's internal dialogue, questioning what's happening to him, as he is in disbelief that his death is really coming.
*Anger:* "Somebody please tell me that I'm dreaming
It's not easy to stop from screaming
The words escape me when I try to speak"
The prisoner, in his disbelief, wants to cry out, but he's choked up, unable to say a word. Angry at himself and the world for being where he is now.
*Bargaining:* "After all I'm not afraid of dying
Don't I believe that there never is an end"
The prisoner, less to the world and more to himself, tries to calm himself, as he wants to believe that there is an afterlife and he is only going to die physically.
*Depression:* "Tears fall but why am I crying"
The prisoner sheds his tears, which is understandable as his execution is about to happen.
*Acceptance:* With a final cry, the prisoner looks to the sky and screams loud enough for all to hear, "Hallowed be Thy Name! Hallowed be Thy Name." With the noose around his neck and his death coming in a few moments, he finally accepts his death and instead of worrying of what was and what is to come, with a final cry to _'God'_ he prepares himself for what is to come.
nice one
NEM vin and sori did a good reaction to this. Vin pointed out some holes in the writing actually if we're being picky about maiden lol.
NEM and thanks for this. I didn't know that about this song. Nice one. 👍👌
@@tomcottee2729 If I remember Vin also misunderstood maiden as supporters of satan at one point so I wouldn't take him too seriously
allbies yeah think I saw that one. Silly him.
Iron Maiden was my gate to metal world. Up the Irons sisters and brothers
UP THE IRONS!
People always pause half way through the “lowwww” because they don’t realise how long it is.
😆
just told them that! nutjobs
Great video. Iron Maiden are the greatest story tellers in musical history in my opinion, and their songs can have a powerful effect on people that really listen to the lyrics. It's awesome to see younger generations enjoying this AMAZING band.
You will LOVE ’Fear of the Dark’ by Maiden. Watch the Rock in Rio live video to see their incredible energy live
Yeah but to be fair, the video can't capture the feeling you have beeing at a concert inside of the mass...
@@meamzcs I've been at 3 Maiden concerts, you're right, watching the videos does not do justice compared to seeing them live, so much energy. \m/ up the irons from Canada
I cane across this again and I loved your reaction the first time. And the second time
You Ladies don't realise it yet but you are quickly becoming metal headbangers 🤭 🤭 🤭
Once you know metal, you can't avoid becoming a metalhead ;)
Metal is not for everyone it's in you or it's not! When I heard this song back in 83 I had a surge of energy and chicken skin.
Infinite Dreams - Iron Maiden. Probably their most emotional song. Truly epic music
That was a good pick up on the drums echoing his heartbeat! Maiden is something special!
That's What I Call stepping outside the box good job ladies
Its impossible to listen to any Iron Maiden songs without smiling....
And not banging your head either
Hi ladies. I'm so glad you chose this song. This is arguably the best Iron Maiden song. It is definitely one of their masterpieces. And it is for sure one of the best classic songs in the metal genre. This is probably one of the best songs to be introduced to Iron Maiden. The singer is also a commercial pilot and a world-class fencer. He flies the band's Boeing 747 when they are on tour, which they currently are. I will be seeing them in 5 months. You are right about the "character" reflecting on his mortality. This song is from 1982. Check out their song When the Wild Wind Blows from 2010. They have so many amazing songs. All of their songs tell some kind of a story. Some are about war, some are based on either plays, poems, or books. A few examples would be Rime Of the Ancient Mariner (a very famous poem) or Phantom Of the Opera (a famous play) and To Tame A Land (a famous book).
Nightwish (a symphonic metal band from Finland) covered the main song of Phantom of the Opera, with both Tarja Türunen (the singer from 1997-2005) and bassist Marko Hietala providing vocals for the song. Also, I did not know To Tame A Land was based on a book. Iron Maiden also did songs in other parts of history as well, I think.
@@brandonhey8423 The book is called Dune. It was made into a movie in the 80's. I never saw the movie. Notice a line in the song "Body water is your life, but without it, you would die in the desert of planet Dune". They sure did other songs about events in history. Aces High is air combat in World War 2. Death Or Glory is about the Red Baron - a famous pilot from World War 1. Empire Of the Clouds is about a German Airship on it's maiden voyage from Germany to France about 7-9 years before the Hindenburg. Run To the Hills is about English settlers coming to America and the battles between them and the indians. Alexander the Great is about a famous king of Macedonia and feared conqueror around 300bc. There are others, but I can't think of them right now.
@@jameshartwell413 Wrong about the R101, it was British.
I hope you got to enjoy seeing them live before Covid 19 turned up. When the Wind Blows has a whole new context for me, considering everything that's happened.
Bruce has retired from piloting due to aging out and the planes were leased by the band and not owned by the band
Very thoughtful reaction ladies! Another Iron Maiden song to consider is “Rime of the Ancient Mariner” ... One thing about that band is the lyrics are always incredibly good! All the best and keep up the great work
Haha. Well edited with both of your faces. They're my favourite band. Great reaction.
Yeah!
It would be great if you react to "Fear of the dark live at Rock In Río 2001" by Iron Maiden
fear of the duck
fear of the DUCK
LMAO!
Iron Maiden chose this version to feature as the only live song on their greatest hits album, Edward the Great. The 250.000 screaming maniacs singing along must be one of the greatest "background" choirs ever.
rio is my fav live performance lol
but i like ghost of the navigator :3
Brasileiro?
Beautiful ladies reacting to a song that began a beautiful time in music.
Iron Maiden is Epic!
React to Iron Maiden live. They are a legendary band but even better live. I saw them a few times in the 80's and was definitely a unforgettable experience. Truly one of the all time great live performances.
John Ray I’m going to see them for the first time in August, Bridgestone Arena Nashville
@@Chris_Clark1MaidenFan That's awesome Chris! I hope you have the time of your life.
Seeing them live in July! Can't wait! Hope this is among the tracks played but, it matters not because I'm just stoked to see Maiden perform again this long into their career!
You know why your heart is beating faster and you're feeling the excitement?
It's the feeling you get, when you hear something you've always liked, without knowing it.
That first pause was criminal, right in the middle of a held note that goes on forever.
Check out their song Fear Of The Dark, live in Rio.
Iron Maiden is one of the best live shows you'll ever see
Thank you very much for making this reaction. This is one of my favorite bands and May 9 is my birthday. I am watching your video today May 11, 2020 but I still receive it as a great birthday present, thank you very much. I already subscribed to his channel and I also liked his video.
Congratulations, you can now officially wear Iron Maiden shirts. lol.
Youve listened to one of the best Maiden songs ever!! Classic! Keep chekkin them out. Only gets better.
fear of the dark by iron maiden (live version), you might love it too
Definitely Live!!
Live version for sure 😁
Seconding this
Live, if not else then just to see Bruce performing. He sees Iron Maiden shows as a sort of theatre and tries to act like that too. And of course it doesn't hurt to see him hitting all those notes live (while running around like a maniac).
Yes, that or Revelations
Life down there is just a strange illusion; as in there is no end. Death is the awakening. To live is to sleep. Very deep lyrics that many dont ponder.
Now you gotta do Rime of the Ancient Mariner 13 minutes of awesomeness.
Fuck yeah!
Damn right .....¡¡¡¡

It could be all day if you want 🤘
A few years ago I was 10 rows from the stage to Maiden....this song brought the house down. Amazing band live. I've been listening too them almost daily since 1986.
Awsome reaction! Iron Maiden is a true metal machine!
More Maiden please!
And some 1980's Queensryche!!
And if they do QueensRyche I hope they listen to the song Queen of the Ryche! =)

Actually, Iron Maiden belongs to Heavy Metal
Yes! Absolutely Queensryche!!
Feeling nervous or stressed when listening to metal is usually because you feel overwhelmed by the energy. You just have to take the energy with you and feel the power grow inside you, and that nervousness will turn into energy.
Metal doesn't have limits of any kind, it can be extremely slow (Funeral Doom) or extremely fast (Black Metal) and everything in between, even on the same song. The trick is just to let the song flow through you and accept it and use its energy and strenght.
LOVED THIS VIDEO SO MUCH THAT I ACTUALLY HAD TEARS WATCHING AND READING THE LYRICS KNOWING THE STORY AND NOW YOU GAINED A NEW SUBSCRIBER
Bruce Dickinson is also a commercial airline pilot he flies the band around on tour in a boeing 757 called Ed force one named after the bands mascot eddie
Great reaction, Black sabbath Heaven and hell with lyrics it is a great song with deep meaning to it !
Great reaction! I'm brand spanking new here. My very first video watching you two. Look forward to watching more. I love seeing young people listening to the music I grew up on. Some of the greatest actual music in my opinion. 😎👍👍 80's lives forever! I listen to it daily! These guys came out when I was 8th grade or so. Awesome keep up the great work.

You two heard the best song heavy metal has to offer.
A matter of opinion, wouldn't say best song, but still an awesome tune.
A definite contender
The coolest part about iron maiden is that their lead singer also is the pilot for their plane, the Ed force one. You should listen to the trooper, aces high, or fear of the dark by iron maiden. I look forward to your future reactions.
Great Reactions Ladies!!!!
Request Metallica "Orion"
Black Sabbath "Heaven and Hell"
You both look fantastic, luv your style
Keep Posting 🤟😘🤟
thank you!!! :)
Orion = masterpiece
Anthony C great line up.
Iron maiden is the fine wine of metal. True gods.
*One of my favorite songs 😍❤️🎧🎵🎸🎸🎸🎶🎶🎸🎸🎸🎸*
That song is brilliant. Both the lyrics and the music go through the five stages of grief:
Disbelief, bargaining, anger, sadness and acceptance.
YAY for BLOOPERS and OUTTAKES!! :-D Hahaha
There's a good reason that Bruce Dickenson has been called the 'Human Air Raid Siren' cos he can belt out long power notes like that!
I have been a Maiden fan for 37 years and in my opinion the best band ever. Great stories and music. So many songs I could recommend but start with "Fear of the Dark" live in Rio and possibly "Run to the Hills" and these should get you hooked and wanting more.

Much better video ladies. It is amazing how much more you catch within the song and the feel of it when you are not caught up in a video. Your overall understanding and amount of thought that went into it was over the top. You were able to speak more to what the song writer was trying to convey. Good job.
Iron Maiden - Rime of the Ancient Mariner (From the World Slavery Tour 1985)
Iron Maiden - Infinite Dreams
Iron Maiden - The Duelist
Iron Maiden - Where Eagles Dare
Iron Maiden - Aces High (From the World Slavery Tour 1985 )
Iron Maiden - Run to the Hills
Iron Maiden - Every song from the first 7 albums
@Eddie Ball nah, No Prayer for the Dying, Fear of the Dark, Virtual XI, and the Final Frontier weren't very good
Hello ladies. Your analysis was spot on. Like always :) Iron Maiden are one of those bands that have the status of Metal Gods and it's totally deserved. They formed in 1975 (yes, no joke) and they still are around and doing music and mega tours and albuns. Bruce Dickinson (the vocalist) left his band Samson and joined the band in 1981 replacing Paul Di'anno. The man is a true Metal legend. He is one of the most famous musicians in Metal. But he is also a commercial pilot ( which led to a number of media-reported ventures such as captaining Iron Maiden's converted charter aeroplane,Ed Force One, during their world tours), he was a radio show host of his own show, he created a aircraft maintenance and pilot training company, hosted television documentaries, authored novels and film scripts, created a beer and competed at fencing internationally (and has founded a fencing equipment company); among many other things. In 2015, Dickinson fought and beat a cancerous tumour found at the back of his tongue. The man is a legend :) Well, again I wrote a long ass comment. Sorry for that. I will stop now. Keep exploring, ladies! \m/
The music for this song is totally designed to make you nervous and wired as a death row prisoner would feel in execution day 👌 spot on.

Caught Somewhere In Time.... I agree!!!
Iron Maiden are the best, and their songs always have a story to them !!!!!!!
Awesome reaction. I love your take on the arrangements syncing with the characters emotions. I’ve been a fan of Iron Maiden since the early 1980’s and never caught that. Might I suggest that you react to their song The Trooper? Also a great storyline.

There are so many amazing songs by Iron Maiden. If you like even just one song by them, then you have to listen to all of them. I promise there will be at least a few that you find full of emotion and just raw power. That's why they are my absolute favorite band.
You should see the live version, its amazing, and also react to The Trooper
The live versión of "Hallowed be thy name - En Vivo" dvd is so badass!!!
Number of The Beast is easily my favorite album of their's. It has 4 out of 5 favorite tracks of my favorite tracks. Children of The Damned, Number of The Beast, Run to The Hills, and Hallowed be Thy Name, all on one album. My 5th favorite is Trooper. Which Eddie, their mascot , I got his trooper version as a tattoo. I love Iron Maiden. Eddie is the best fucking mascot ever.

Fear of the dark, aces high, wasted years
Awesome and really on point reaction I like the way you make the videos plus you're both lovely ladies. The excitement that you both show when you're analizing the plot inside the lyrics it certainly feels authentic. Please keep doing this awesome work. And if I can recommend a song for you to react I would say (Iron Maiden - Fear of the dark) because at some point everyone had or still has a fear for the dark.
Death - Voice of the soul
DEATH fan YESSS! Such a beautiful song.
NO! don't fall for that one. It's just a little short instrumental. Listen to the song but don't do a reaction video to it. Not that I think the song is bad but it doesn't showcase the entire band. It's just Chuck playing guitars, which is a good thing (rest in peace, Chuck) but he plays guitars in all the other Death songs too. At least pick Cosmic Sea from Death if you want to react to one of their instrumentals. That's a great song too. Personally, I think you should stay away from instrumentals for reaction videos because lyrics are a big part of the emotional element of all music. Also VOICE OF THE SOUL HAS BEEN DONE OVER AND OVER AGAIN. Just like all the other videos you have reacted to. Be original!
Death - Spiritual Health
I'd say try out Flesh and the Power it Holds.
"1000 Eyes" would be a good choice as well.
I enjoyed watching this reaction great job!
Dance of Death live version by Iron Maiden is great. I highly recommend it.
So nice to see two new Iron Maiden fans in the world. I caught an interview once by Lady Gaga where she said after seeing her first Iron Maiden concert it defined the kind of artist she wanted to be.
