Generally, especially in high school, Remembering with a bit of Understanding is enough. But for math, Analyzing is much more important. It should be NUMBER 1 Priority. Here are some actionable steps: - When you read a math textbook, always try to guess a formula or any new information. You probably wont get it right but ALWAYS try to guess. It will make you think and extrapolate from your knowledge - If you do not suffer from social anxiety, asking a lot of questions in class will always be helpful. It's embarrassing, but it will force you to analyze what you learn. Even just thinking about possible questions and not asking them will help. - Often I found easy problems boring and somewhat difficult problems exhausting. But when a problem is very hard it becomes a game, sort of like sudoku or a rubiks cube. It doesn't feel good to solve any problem unless they are difficult. And remember that difficulty is relative to who you are. Good Luck :)
Currently in the UK studying Further Maths and CompSci at A level. Appreciate this comment a lot. Would like to know how you remember maths problems, for example if I complete a section in a textbook on complex numbers, how do u remember the steps u took a few months later?
@@koji4059 That's a great question. THEORY : The very idea that you should remember it again and again to ingrain it in your brain is, imo, very flawed with math. You'll notice that lots of people lose their native tongue after not speaking it for years, but it's pretty difficult to forget what 8 + 3 is. Honestly, I don't know what it is, but I can calculate it trivially. In math, the end goal is exactly that. Storing functions which allow us to indirectly remember things. Think about a png of an image. The data is stored and compressed but it's not lossy: all the data is just rearranged. For JPEGS, some quality IS lost. Science is not logical since it uses abductions to create theories (this might seem stupid, but the gist is that you cant do science by staying in your room and just thinking and thinking: we need data). Which means that every piece of information is vital Math, instead, is logical, which means you can absolutely compress every single bit of information down to an ultimate core and unravel it in your mind. So when you study maths, I think about a core concept and think "well if thats true, then that must be true" and just go on and on. This is much easier to learn and remember for a couple of reasons: 1. Its just less info to learn 2. You create links, which are easier to remember. I dont think "divisions are not reversible" It just makes sense. This is very difficult to convey, so here is more practical advise: EXAMPLE : In Fourrier Series (you dont have to know what it is ), there are three functions to remember. 1. A general one 2. One for even functions 3. One for uneven functions. Remembering all three can be a lot of data, but remembering the general one is pretty easy. So I just remember the original one and remember how to transform it into the other two. CONCLUSION : In your case, If you remember how and why complex numbers are *DIFFERENT* than real numbers, you should be good. I find it far easier to remember any transformation than any base data. My final advise would be to write everything you learn in your own words, reading from that makes it much easier to learn. You don't even have to have a system or organization or anything. Just everything you learn in your own words. If it's even a little difficult to understand, please reply: english is my third language.
@@jac1011 Wasn’t expecting such a good response in a YT comment section. I understand what u mean and will try to implement it while learning. Btw your English is perfect.
@@jac1011 I heard in Justin Sung's webinar that calculation was part of procedural memory. I suppose that in that region of the brain logic can predominate 100% and that is why it can be retained as if it were underlying knowledge unlike other subjects such as biology or sociology. I have a question for you, what do you think of the 4 principles that George Polya proposes to solve a mathematical exercise?
Can someone summarize this for me, trying to be more productive. The benefit for you if you do is, explaining the info will help you retain it better. Best😊
Busy does not equal productive. Ask yourself, what is good, and what does it cost? Then change it into, how can i get the good while reducing the cost?. Take steps that get you closer to your goal while putting in the least amount of time and effort. Task management over time management
yes Prioretisation is the key and i took it to the extreme basiclly my education system works that way that grades don't matter when you're applying to university only final exam score so i am sitting in the last desk chunkmapping my final exam course material when i can sit undestracted and revising by genarating question when teacher is bothered when i don't pay attention one thing that really helped me with teachers not bothering me was i did whole lesson in front of whole class on the topic that we we were doing and because of my learning skills (lot of teaching as a revision method) and established relationship intuition i could make better and more intuitive lesson material than they did some called me arrogant some were quiet shocked and didn't bothered me and with some i made genuine relationship and now i have some people to talk to about more complex problems so yes Prioretisation and lavrage i think one of the most important concepts in business learning in life in general also your environment - from this example you can take that you are responsibile for your own environment i couldn't learn and express as efficiently and freely as i wanted because i went to really bad school however even school environment is changable you just need to be the one that changes it if you want to talk about studying or you are fan of dr andrew huberman or really anything ad me on discord bakunek#7716

Science is not logical since it uses abductions to create theories (this might seem stupid, but the gist is that you cant do science by staying in your room and just thinking and thinking: we need data). Which means that every piece of information is vital
Math, instead, is logical, which means you can absolutely compress every single bit of information down to an ultimate core and unravel it in your mind.
So when you study maths, I think about a core concept and think "well if thats true, then that must be true" and just go on and on.
This is much easier to learn and remember for a couple of reasons:
1. Its just less info to learn
2. You create links, which are easier to remember.
I dont think "divisions are not reversible" It just makes sense.
This is very difficult to convey, so here is more practical advise:
EXAMPLE :
In Fourrier Series (you dont have to know what it is ), there are three functions to remember.
1. A general one
2. One for even functions
3. One for uneven functions.
Remembering all three can be a lot of data, but remembering the general one is pretty easy. So I just remember the original one and remember how to transform it into the other two.
CONCLUSION :
In your case, If you remember how and why complex numbers are *DIFFERENT* than real numbers, you should be good.
5 min time blocks for 1 year... telling time within 1min accuracy... yeah right! And I'm Elon Musk hahaha
Yesss
You have spent 2 years of wearing that t-shirt!
so that's why he turned into a block
Block time McBlockface
Wait until you get married and have children. Try time blocking your kids or spouse

Love your videos but he is not productive you are 1000 better then him
STOP USING ELON MUSK FOR VIEWS. YOUR CREDIBILITY IS IN QUESTION IF YOU USE HIM.
He literally used his method for a year! Lmao
@@carlosperez5966 8:06 except it wasn't actually his method....
No one cares but first lolll
You seem to care....lol.
I care🥰🥰🥰

yes Prioretisation is the key and i took it to the extreme basiclly my education system works that way that grades don't matter when you're applying to university only final exam score so i am sitting in the last desk chunkmapping my final exam course material when i can sit undestracted and revising by genarating question when teacher is bothered when i don't pay attention
one thing that really helped me with teachers not bothering me was i did whole lesson in front of whole class on the topic that we we were doing and because of my learning skills (lot of teaching as a revision method) and established relationship intuition i could make better and more intuitive lesson material than they did some called me arrogant some were quiet shocked and didn't bothered me and with some i made genuine relationship and now i have some people to talk to about more complex problems so yes Prioretisation and lavrage i think one of the most important concepts in business learning in life in general also your environment - from this example you can take that you are responsibile for your own environment i couldn't learn and express as efficiently and freely as i wanted because i went to really bad school however even school environment is changable you just need to be the one that changes it if you want to talk about studying or you are fan of dr andrew huberman or really anything ad me on discord bakunek#7716
