The reason why the dog is in the cheetah cage is because cheetah in captivity suffer from stress and are very skiddish, so they have companion dogs to calm them down and raise their confidence, and that makes it easier for the cheetah to breed

When non related animals look like each other, its because of a phenomenon called convergent evolution. Basically they each adapt to the environment similarly, like how sharks (fish), dolphins(mammals) and ichtyosaurus(reptile) all had streamlined bodies with a tailfin, dorsalfin and pectoralfins, sharks and dolphins even share the same countershading colouration where the top of the body is dark, while the bottom is white.

Cheetahs are quite skittish and nervous animals, that puppo in the enclosure is the cheetahs own ‘Support Dog’, just like that lady who needs to carry her Pomeranian literally everywhere. It calms them, and makes the world a better place.

Fun Fact! Sometimes reserves in Africa sell endangered animal hunting tags when the specific animal becomes Dangerous towards its own species! It's one of the few ways that lots of those said Animal Reserves make large sums of money (upwards of $500k USD if memory serves me right) and the local villages get the meat/hide. Typically its only when the animal starts uncharacteristically maiming/killing its own kind. While the exception doesn't make the rule these rare instances provide more resources then most "pro animal" groups do in several years.
I don't know where the picture of the sleeping squirrels was taken, but I have never seen that many red squirrels together before. I guess that red squirrels are more common up in the northern US because I don't really ever see them in the southern US. Here in the south, you only ever see gray squirrels, but maybe it wasn't even taken in the US at all. 🤷♂️
