This, combined with the drone footage, is just perfect.

Hi Rosie, I loved your line about winter and spring enjoying their dance around each other a little longer! So poetic! I'm working my way through your videos, which I enjoy watching/listening to whilst I cook. I am aware however that soon I will catch up to present day and will have to be patient for each video!! I enjoy your calming online presence!

I just discovered your channel, and have been binge-watching your videos for the past couple days. I love how the quality has gradually improved, how you seem to be getting over your fear of imperfection, and how you have gotten more comfortable in front of the camera. Your sense of humor is coming out. This video was hilarious with all of inserted stain photos! 😂

May we suggest you round the piece of wood that is in the corner across from the desk ( which is really cute) 😊if it’s rounded it can still be ok to put a little sink on it, actually it will be better rounded than how it is now…..a pointy awkward edge sticking out, because it will be so easy to bump into it as one walks in to your tiny guest house.

Just a suggestion for when you have to sand wood by hand: it could be helpful and easier to wrap the sandpaper around a small square or rectangular piece of wood...more sanding surface in contact with wood and greater accuracy! Cheers :)

When I stain raw wood, I always use a wood conditioner first. It seems to give a truer color with the stain. Raw wood is very porous, and the grain also absorbs the stain differently in different areas. The conditioner takes care of that. I know, it is an extra step, but the results are worth it.

It's a challenge to get a golden oak color from an oak sample to be the same on pine or any other wood for that matter. Mixing a few wood tones wouldn't be a bad thing. I suggest taking a few scrap pieces of wood your primarily using with you to the hardware store and do test straps of colors on your wood pieces for best results. Your getting there, don't lose hope it's all in the journey so enjoy :D

Rosie, for the shelve brackets you could imitate a keyhole in the back with a small drilled hole with a larger drilled hole beneath it at the same depth. Put your screw in the wall, place the bracket with the large hole on the screw then slide it down to sit on the screw in the smaller hole. Just make sure the small hole is smaller that the screw head.
