Each to their own, I love the character of these type of houses but wouldn't want to live in one decorated from that age. I think these have done a great job and if it makes them happy so be it.
They simply make it their home - personal taste, styles etc. it’s okay to like, enjoy and feel comfortable in both period and modern. Your opinion is valid too and that’s why your home would be unique to your own preferences.

I never understand why people buy period homes, completely gut them, then fill them with soon to be dated trendy designs.
