My Sunday morning routine is to watch you and Luke's vlogs. Always so nice and cozy. It is snowing here in the northwest of Sweden. I have lit a fire in the fire place and made a cup of tea and enjoying watching all your updates. 98 K now! Let's get it to 100! Hugs.😊

Sounds so cosy, the snow and a lovely fire. Much of the UK is now a smoke-free zone so you will get a fine for having a wood burner or open fire. So sad, because many people love to have a fire in the winter months.
Yes, it is early. The mountains, fjällen, are white and it is really beautiful with all the autumn colours. I have a wood burning stove and another one in the kitchen. It gets very cold here during the winter so we need some extra heat. Have a lovely day. 🤗
Oh how lovely! My husband and I visited Norrköping and Stockholm in August and we completely fell in love with Sweden! All the best from south-west England.

Sorry the comparing of the white shades of paint reminded me of the advert where the woman wanted to buy just white paint and is offered ridiculous shades including snowman’s bones!
Hi Mr Carrington lovely to see you on this cloudy Sunday morning in London with my cuppa and assorted biscuits. You're so right about the importance of art (and literature) in our lives. It gives us an outlet to escape from the stresses and strains of life and being a singer I agree that the reduction of funding for the arts is a crying shame. Loved that message from QB that came with your print - such nice sentiments. I spotted that grey-blue frame straight away at the boot sale and I thought "that's going in his bag home!". Loved the different elements of the vlog and wish you a Happy Sunday and stress-free week. By the way it's 2k to go!!

Wow! that was action packed!! Loved it all. Well done with those frames, what a baragin they were, and I think you would get away with the double mount. I agree with the issues all across the arts in general, it is so very important and should be more available for all ages and types of art. I really like the roof garden ideas and Wayfair are a good company, I think it will look fabbo when done. I am also a fan of Beryl Cooks art, always buying birthday cards with her work on when I can find them. Love that print you have bought. Some good colours for the kitchen. My friend is going on a cruise on Wednesday on her own. She lost her husband around 16 months ago. They used to go cruising so she thought she would go for it. She said she's determined to go in a hot tub so that picture could be her. 😅. Xx

Oh Mr C don't go with Hilarys, they break really easy we spent a small fortune on blinds and they have all broken not long after the warranty 😮😢x

I'd go with schoolhouse white and ball green personally but colour is so subjective. I'd definitely get the Quentin Blake picture professionally framed, it does make a difference and it seems a shame to just shove it in a boot sale find. There's a real disconnect between them. However, I wouldn't cover the torn corner. That just adds something to the authenticity of the piece. But again, that's a personal choice thing.

I love the subtle green near the end, but I'm not sure I'd paint the ceiling that colour too. I think it would make the ceiling look lower. The school House one would be better for the wall and then carry on onto the ceiling . Your print of the ladies on the ship is just my cuppa tea. It really does make you smile. Have a great week.

Love the tiny tear, can imagine the artist tearing it off his pad. My favourite piece of your art is the colour block over your shoulder, I'm always trying to work out how I can do something similar in acrylics.

Loving all the artwork, i'd leave the pictures with the grey frames as they are because i really like them, i do love the torn corner too and Beryl Cooks pictures are so colourful and fun. I think choosing paint is hard, i dread doing all that work and then not liking it when its on the wall. I cant wait to see your garden furniture, i think it will look great !! xx

So pleased the cats love the play tree. Our two have the exact same one, from kittens, until now, and the rope has been destroyed, exposing cardboard underneath that, our Moxie bites , and spits on the floor for me to clear each day 😐😏

Adore Beryl Cook have grown up seeing all her paintings in Plymouth where many of the people she painted lived ❤ did you know there is a Beryl Cook calendar i think it's on calendar club normally. Loving the school house white and the green no 75 I think it was ❤❤

Watching this morning took me back to school and my English teacher when you were in bedroom she used to say you don't say this is them it's those are they and I've still never heard anyone say it that way .My favourite Artist is Jack Vetriano I have a print but I bought a print in a charity shop and it was a different name but it's unmistakably his art he painted under his own name when he started painting I haven't taken it out of frame yet bit like you when I get time great vlog as usual off to watch luke now

Good morning Iwan. Cats tend to interact in humans conversations, after all they are also part of the family. I love to see Pumpkin and Mittens. They will sure have lots of fun in their new cat tree.
The art work that you chose for your bedroom is really cool, and a reminder to go on another cruise 😅. I've never been on one, and I thought that it wasn't a thing for me, but after seeing your experiences, I really want to go on a cruise trip. The roof garden is going to look great. Can't wait to see the makeover reveal.

Iwan, you're crazy, that Ram print is better than your other pictures! Certainly much more appealing than the Blake drawing!!!!
What about continuing the colour from your kitchen shelf unit on to the shelves and panelling?
I love the Beryl Cook print and also the two pictures from the boot sale (I personally would keep them as they are).
I think the Quentin Blake needs a dark coloured mount as a contrast.
The modular furniture is going to look great on the roof garden.

Hi Iwan don’t normally comment on vlogs, however, as art is subjective thought I would share - the original Quentin Blake was horrendous to my eye. The painting on the living wall which is colourful squares I loved (where was it from)? Beryl Cook paintings always make me smile. Whilst choosing a colour of white for the shutters and kitchen paint nearly had me sticking pins in my eyes with boredom. To each his own you pays your money you takes your choice, this seems like a backhanded compliment but I really like you blogs and content - don’t work to hard, have a good week.
Oh Mr C... I love your new artworks! I personally wouldn't cover up Quentin Blake's torn corner...it adds another charm to the work. The Beryl Cook is fab! I like how the women are totally oblivious to the erupting volcano and they are just interested in having together time with their Champers 🥂🍾😊👍. Good on you for investing in decent pieces of Art. Also, I think the colour 'cat's paw' looked lovely next to your cabinet, but as you said, you will need to look at all your colours in the different light. Great vlog. Thank you ❤x
Absolutely love Beryl Reed's work...I actually posed for many of them 😜😆 Have to say I love the darkest green colour, got a thing for it at the mo having just painted the cladding in the bathroom in a similar colour, from Valspar.
Be sure to keep a piece of card with your bedroom paint on it. Since it was an, as we call it, oops batch, it will not have a match. I was a store Manager for Hone Depot, and if someone decided not to buy, more tint was added to keep them from coming back to buy it discounted. If you keep a card, you may carry that and have your color matched should you need it! Just a little insider tip! Everything looks fantastic! Kiss the babies!
I have alway's adored Beryl Cook & even when i was in my late teens & early 20's collected quite a few books showing her paintings & illustrations (i'm 62 yrs young). I saw one of her 'original' oil paintings for sale a couple of years ago, in a gallery in Broadway the Cotswolds, but at £46,000 it was a bit out of my price range! 😂 xx

Iowan use Spontex Magic Microfibre cloths on your mirrors they are BRILLIANT. Use the yellow one first. just put in hot water and ring out and wipe mirror. Then more or less immediately, definitely before the water dries, in an S movement work your way across and down the mirror with one of the dry cloths, drying it all. I haven't had any smears at all it is truly MAGIC. All good supermarkets sell them. Good luck and thank you for a great video, love the home updates. xx

Great, busy vlog! For the mirror, auto parts stores here sell glass treatment that repels everything! I like the very soft sand color for your kitchen upper&ceiling. Of course, I have much more advice & opinion, but that's enough for now ❤

Choosing paint colors is always a nightmare for me. I’m never completely satisfied with my choice. I know things can always be repainted but that gets to be a lot of work for a 68 year old lady! Can’t wait to see what you choose. Looking forward to the roof garden redo.

Prints look good in their spaces. Love some F&B colours, they are just too many nice ones to choose from. I have Hague blue on the wall and panelling behind my bed, in my fireplace and wall opposite the fireplace in my living room. 💙

I like the lighter colours, but if it is darker, I would go with the blue, cats paw or the stone one. Personally, I despise green, so would never pick that. Anyhoo, you know what you like and it's what you can live with. Good luck 😊

Are you planning to paint the cupboard too? I'd paint the paneling and shelves the same color. Otherwise there would be too many colors and it might look a bit chaotic. Just a thought.
I know nothing about art, so my opinion isn’t worth much. 😆 But I like the tear in the drawing and feel it’s actually a feature and taking point.
The kitchen, well I like color and all this white makes my skin crawl. My home would probably give you a rash. 🤣 If you went with more color on the wall, it would make your white dishes and other items stand out, and not wash out. And maybe the shelves match the hutch.

I still haven’t bought my kitties a cat tree, I really want to find something aesthetic! I was thinking of getting a floor to ceiling one from Temu and customising it myself with baskets and darker sisal rope. They have a big scratching tower but it looks so scummy now 😂
