Lol I'm kinda with Zuff, surprisingly. I think Everything, Everywhere At Once was just over-hyped for me. I thought the storyline was simple, but distracted by weird scenarios. But as another Asian American, I gotta give props to Michelle Yeoh for main roling it like a BOSS.
@@misshell I liked the concept of the movie but in all honesty something about it felt... lacking idk. For some reason I just don't love the movie even though there was a lot in it I liked
I also did not like it very much. I can appreciate that it's well made, it's just not my style of movie

Oh my god. As a 90’s girly I gasped at learning you reacted to The Craft and gasped again at how low y’all ranked it. Then y’all twisted the knife with Pride & Prejudice and the Princess Diaries. Prisoner & Chamber are high A’s for me. THE THIRD HARRY POTTER OVER TWILIGHT IMMEDIATELY OMG.

@@dloregonlin31 💀have to MASSIVELY disagree with you. That movie set a new record for awards, and although awards don't make a good movie - they won all those awards for a reason. In my opinion its a really eye-opening movie and an almost magical experience, makes you feel so many emotions. You must've experienced the movie differently than majority of us though, so I respect your opinion. To each their own

Zuff, buddy, I wouldn't recommend using Pitch Perfect as the benchmark to compare all musicals because it's barely considered an actual musical. If you were to watch Hairspray again, I think you would be singing a different tune (pun absolutely intended).

To be fair the newer version of Pride and Prejudice I also hated and I love the book and the BBC series. It just wasn't a good adaptation to me.
@@brittanyann9252 sure that's total valid but I think even by comparison to the BBC versions it's like B or C tier. Cinematography alone pulls it up imo!
Edit: I think the best Austen adaptation is sense and sensibility anyway but I don't think theyve watched that one. I did get the sense from their P&P reaction that they were just not vibing with Austen generally.
@@gabi0h yeah Austen doesn't seem to be popular amongst the straight men lol. I had just the most ridiculous complaints about the new rendition of Pride and Prejudice. I thought the lighting was too moody and dark most of the movie and funnily enough the rain scene bothers me for some reason. I'm like why y'all out here talking in the pouring rain when you're right near a building where the actual convo in the book and series took place. I'm weird lol!
@@brittanyann9252 Yeh it seemed like most of their complaints were around anachronistic points like, "why are they not kissing?" - well they don't in the book and the work has to be understood in the context of the time! I actually like the scene in the rain - gives a bit of romantic drama and emphaises what a terrible proposal it is. And oddly I remember the cinematography being very well lit (like extremely so in the outdoor scenes) but maybe I am misremembering.
I literally had to turn it off near the halfway point lol

I'm with Zuff on Everything Everywhere All at Once! Can't deny the acting was great, but didn't love the story and did think it was a bit too long.
The low rankings on all the early 2000 movies were wild to me but B tier for EEAAO actually hurt 😭 this was definitely a fun watch though, ya'll really make me think you enjoy every movie!

If you guys do this again in the future with more recent movies, it would be cool if you each did separate lists, and everyone got their own. You each place it where you actually want it, and then you can all compare your lists at the end, and talk about why you put movies in the same / different tiers. I think doing it with the average spot is hard, because you're all going to have differing opinions on movies and it doesn't seem balanced. Just my two cents :)
While I agree the averaging kinda threw it off i don’t think I’d be willing to watch 3x of these videos
@@taiyonatiare7918 Maybe just one video, and for each show they just each say where they'd put it on their list, and leave it at that. Any staggering differences can be talked about, but I just don't think doing the average system worked here.
An average is quite literally balanced. That’s the whole point of an average.

One of my favorite things about your channel is how open you are to watching so many different types of movies, but I always enjoy hearing your genuine reactions. Ranking She's the Man so low does hurt a little bit though

This list is the craziest thing I have ever seen. There are such good movies that are tiers below mediocre movies. Part of me wonders if they even remember what happened in the movies they are rating or basing it off initial feelings after watching it for the first time, but to each their own. I also know more people who hated EEAAO than people who liked it.
Any Harry Potter movie being rated as anything less than good is definitely questionable 🤔

I totally agree with Zuff for EEAAO, I understood it and was just not interested. The acting was incredible, and so glad it got the recognition at the Oscars, it was just not my thing.

First of all... The Craft is much better than a lot of the movies above it haha also, I'm so shook at the high Pitch Perfect score, that movie is def not it. Also, Everything Everywhere All At Once should totally be higher.

I grew up watching this film with my two older sisters and as much I loved watching it then (and every so often), I would not rate it higher than a C. But remember that their F-tier films are ones they would not want to watch ever again. I can’t say I blame them. I myself cannot see what the major ‘pull’ would be seeing as they themselves are not teenage girls seeking to start a coven.

This was fun to watch, though the low Princess Diaries rating hurt my soul (even more than I thought it would lol) I noticed there were only a few musicals on your list. If you want to try more some good options to pick from are: Moulin Rouge, The Sound of Music, Mama Mia, Chicago, Dreamgirls and The Rocky Horror Picture Show.
little women is my ultimate comfort movie so C tier definitely stung me a lil ngl. also the princess diaries hate!! maybe it’s the nostalgia but damn that was harsh lol

I was soooo surprised by some of these! And it made me realize how good you guys are at just enjoying the experience of watching a movie with friends, even if you're not enjoying the movie itself. That's a life skill for sure. (It hurt my soul to see Twilight ranked over P&P though. 😭 The subtle humor, acting, and filmography in P&P should make it at least a C.) I'm excited for the TV show ratings! 🙌

EEAAO being rated a B physically hurt me. Rob also looked like he was in physical pain when it was placed in B. Zuff needs to watch it again to actually understand it this time. It is an insane movie, but the underlying story of generational trauma, family, and love make that movie S tier!!

@Marissa Rice right if I don't understand it, I might watch it again to try to understand it. I have watched Tenet 3x and still don't really understand the movie, but it is still an interesting concept to me lol. I don't get the hate for EEAAO because even if the multiverse stuff doesn't make sense, trauma, love, and family are all kind of universal.
@@brittanyann9252 Fr like he no hate cause I love them all but he missed the entire point. Like sure it was a movie about the multiverse but at its core it was about generational trauma, a mother daughter relationship. And just about how all that matters in this life is human connection.
@Marissa Rice I couldn't agree more. The whole lesson that I took from the movie is that nothing matters, but what I assign value to, and that is always going to be my family and friends, and just generally trying to be a good person. I don't care about climbing a corporate ladder or having the perfect job, the perfect body, just nothing at all except for the people I love. It makes life so much more valuable when I filter out all the noise and the things that just don't really matter all that much.
Also, people bring up how the other universes are so crazy and wacky but that’s part of the entire underlying point of the movie. There are an infinite amount of universes that Evelyn can choose from, where she can literally be ANYTHING/ANYONE…yet she STILLLLLLLLL chooses to be with her daughter. That’s what gives her decision so much weight and gravity. Ugh I hate when someone doesn’t comprehend something so they blame it on the movie. If he UNDERSTOOD the movie and was able to correctly explain it and still didn’t like it, I’d respect that.
I enjoyed this list and your discussion. As an older guy, I would love to see you react to some older movies from the 60s, 70s, and 80s, and even some classics that might be *gasp* black-and-white. Oh, and I hope "Brokeback Mountain" is on your to-do list; Heath Ledger at his amazing, heart-breaking best.
as someone who has watched most of their movie reactions, i think most of you guys in the comments don’t understand how different the experience is when you watch movies (while commentating!) with other people. and most of the tier list is based on first time watches
i also think y’all are forgetting how strong the nostalgia factor is hitting for most of you😵💫

Kind of surprised at how high Scream placed! I remember thinking you guys weren’t very engaged with it. I hope you guys revisit the series at some point because I think the franchise as a whole is very good. And you may like the updated movies more!

I think it hurts when someone hates a movie you love so much because it feels deeply personal. Like almost a personal attack lol 😆 Some of these movies like EEAAO feel so personal to me because of stuff I’ve gone through and how the story is about love, family and acceptance (with the device being the multiverse), and in many ways it was a movie that I laughed and cried through (sometimes at the same time). Some movies my bf loves aren’t for me, though I try to still respect it for what it is and what it means to him.
