    Absolutely hilarious. Eddie having to pause his rant every few seconds for the translator seems to be making him even more annoyed. Brilliant

    I can't remember where I heard this but, apparently, soon after this interview some top brass within Japanese Rugby stated that Eddie's remarks were accurate & long overdue - it seems that there was already underlying support from the top within the sport in Japan & look what has happened since !!

    Eddie Jones didn't build Japanese rugby but he did give them the right answers they were looking for by understanding the people, Japanese society try to avoid conflict and respect is massive but in rugby contexts Eddie needed to get the players to understand there is good conflict like this. Taking them to another level

    • @unlimitednuralisya79
      @unlimitednuralisya79 5 лет назад

      Yeah. Japanese rugby is already there. The players just wanna show people at least they could play a good game. They simply couldn't imagine themselves to win. Facing the giant teams kinda scary. Fear factor. Eddie is the one who change this mentality. From 'no we cannot' to 'yes we can'.

      Eddie was logically pissed off though, and now look at what he's done for them prior to becoming England coach afterwards when he left Japan.

    Thank you,

    Eddie jones approach was perfect, Japan has always been on par with the top rugby playing nations in terms of, professional players and foundations but he's pointing out where they severely lacked in, leadership, training and pro mentality

    • @ruangreyling2073
      @ruangreyling2073 5 лет назад +1

      I agree but they don't have the professional players other countries have. Their Top League is only semi pro. But they want a fully pro league in 2021 which will make them even better

    • @MRRBOKK
      @MRRBOKK 5 лет назад +1

      @@ruangreyling2073 Yeap they need to be able to take it to another level.
      Some of the greatest coaches are coaching the Japanese top league, even though they not somewhat full pro, they're still exposed to that style especially in Japan who look at rugby more as a full committed job.

    • @ruangreyling2073
      @ruangreyling2073 5 лет назад

      @@MRRBOKK Yeah definitely, they have a great foundation as you said and if they build on that, with the money and coaches they have, they will be serious contenders at the next World Cup. They expect this new pro league do bring in $460 million a year and with the Top League losing millions money every year and owners still willing to float the Bill, image how much they will invest when they could actually make money out of it

    • @MRRBOKK
      @MRRBOKK 5 лет назад

      @@ruangreyling2073 Yeap it can seem surprising that they continue to pay the bill. But long term Japan are here to stay, as a tier 2 they already have more Rugby players then Argentina, Ireland, Wales, Scotland, and Italy.
      With the performance of this Japanese team, definitely a future force

      I am half Japanese half English, it’s difficult to not do that because he was talking quite quickly. Japanese is also a longer language to speak. I mean this was broadcast in japan so the translator needs to be heard if the coach is louder than her no-one in japan(where’s it’s being broadcast) would understand
