I love my golden dogo loaches! They are hilarious. Everything in the tank is something to sleep on. They just land somewhere and fall asleep. They go from sound asleep to full blast when I walk in the room. They are the golden retriever of the aquatic world!

100% correct about shrugging off attacks from aggressive fish. My red fin shark attacks my dojo loach all day and the loach just keeps eating and doesn’t care lol
I couldn't agree more! They're silly, playful, personable, and very active. Was the unexpected favorite and main event of our community tank.
I own a brown dojo loach and he does not help me in the slightest whenever I put my hand he goes for my veins and he also eats my plants and moves my substrate but I still love him and his weird hiding spots (PS any tips for how to stop dojo loaches from uprooting plants?)
This may not help since its been a month but I have a 10in loach and I find covering the roots in a rock sand mix helps weigh them down preventing even my crawdad from ripping them up

Dojo hands down. Now I love aquariums but I'm terrified to touch fish. I used to have nightmares about them jumping out of ponds and chasing me on their back tail fins. Dojos make the tank. They're so friendly always wanting to touch me. My family knows I'm cleaning the tank and got touched by one again when they hear the shriek.

Loaches across the board. Kuhli loaches alone can keep me happy - they play, clean the tank, farm plants, and reproduce. I could always buy more fish by selling my extra loaches.

Whats the difference between weather loaches and golden dojo? Petco labeled them different in the separate tanks. I am wondering if i can combine or tank mate them...not looking to interbreed! Just want to know if its safe to combine different species or breeds of loaches
I got one of these from a pet store and after I got it home I noticed its body was covered in red dots. It didn’t make it long after that, but all my other fish were doing good. I haven’t had another since, I thought maybe they were just too sensitive for what I had going on.

Reasons why GDLs aren’t the best aquarium fish…
1. They’re illegal to own in many U.S states
2. They get big and require a tank of at least 100 gallons.
3. They need strong filtration
If you can keep them, KEEP THEM. They’re awesome! Though in my opinion there are better options. Kuhli loaches are a good alternative! A school of 3 will bring as much joy a dojo.

My absolute favorite fish was an Oscar that I raised from the size of a dime. The fish was so docile he'd let me pick him up out of the tank he would come up and try to be my buddy every time I walked in the room I was gone for a week and he jumped out of the tank and I'm sure it was cuz he miss me it was like having a dog
I’ve always wanted an Oscar. Unfortunately I don’t have the time, space, or money to take care of them.
Out of all of my fish my golden dojo loaches are by far my favorite. One thing that should be noted tho is they are pigs and can make it difficult for certain other fish in your aquarium to get enough food such as bristlenose plecos.
If you have enough algae in the tank for them to eat, they will be fine
I think I have one of all three major varieties of dojo loaches. It started with a golden one to accompany my goldfish, then I got two more regular ones. One jumped and strangled itself, sadly. So, I got an albino one. (I didn't choose the varieties on purpose It's just what whatever store I went to had)
I ad 4 Loach's in my pond, ive only 1 left. Cat got 1 and 2 just disappeared over this winter 😭 The 1 left is a golden loach. Dont know if i should get anymore. Dont like not knowing what happened to them.

Apart from dojo loaches, one of the best fish to keep is the paradise fish! It has character, intelligence, and super hardiness! So Hardy it was the first aquarium fish to be brought to Europe after the goldfish! @Dustin's Fishtanks , please do some research on paradisefish and make a video about them! These fish needs more credits!❤🙏

Yo yo loach they are very agile when small they clean the plants very well I know I can’t, but I wish somebody would make a dwarf yo-yo
White Cloud Mountain Minnows are my favorite fish. My 33 long is overstocked with almost 40 of them. Super hardy, great colors. I've had a lot of them for 2 years, which is the longest I've ever had fish live for me.
I wouldn't call your handle 'aquatics' if you can only keep fish alive for less than 2 years.
My weather loaches are amazing, only issue is they are jumpers so i have to have a lid
Raise them for a few months with a lid then remove it over time and they won't even consider it
