Hey you should’ve used those tiny ball magnets as the bearings so that it breaks 24/7 and turns on its own. Another way is to get the cube wet then dump it in sand then take it out again.

The first and only rubix cube I got when I was like 8 or something broke apart in my hands onto the street as I was turning it literally a minute after I had bought it. That marked the end of my sad cubing experience barely after it had even started.

When I visited my grandfather he had a cube from like 1975 which was arguably worse than what you just made, it was almost impossible to turn because it would just get stuck on its own pieces all the time

I just got a new cube after using one that was given to me by my brother about ten years ago. after using the new cube for not even a full day, my old cube feels like it's a literal rock that will not budge no matter how hard you push.
I got very lucky lol years ago I had an old rubiks brand cube but recently I have gotten into cubing because a friend lent me a cube. It was a gan 356 r s and turned super smoothly lol
After I got my rs3m, my Rubik's brand feels like literal garbage, and my friends "speed cube" that I thought was insanely good also felt like garbage
Try giving this to an non-cuber then they’ll see the difference between a bad cube and a gud cube

Clearly you haven't seen my first cube. It's so bad you literally could not turn it in certain directions. You have to force it super hard and make sure all the pieces are perfectly aligned (not even the slightest bit off) and it still may not move. A lot of the times I'd have to do the opposite move 3 times to make one move. (e.g. R'3 instead of R)

Make the turning worse by dumping sand and dirt into it while turning it, then use VERY coarse sandpaper on the inner pieces, the turning will be epic :)
I feel like you could've sanded the inside faces of the pieces for a nice, gritty turn.

I think you could make it worse by making some of the magnets repel and some not

I accidentally tightened my cube so much because I wasn’t paying attention. So much so that it couldn’t be loosened, and it was so terrible, probably worse than this cube, but the opposite side turned faster than I’ve ever turned.

You could use magnets and arrange them in a way the cube will lock in a scewed blocking position requiring you to forcefully turn against the magnets to actually turn it.

little fun fact i told one of my friends that is new to cubing to put hand sanitizer in his cube as a joke and he actually put it in. i was surprised when it worked really well. the next day it tuned as well as my grandma's old rubiks brand
