When I saw the palm trees I was home:) it warmed my heart. lol. Such a nice tour and you trying to give a quick peek at the water was very much appreciated. I hope to visit one day. Stay safe and thank you.
You you just confirm that airbnb on those streets filled with construction & no sidewalks would not be for me. Its hotels in Senegal all the way. Also i suggest for anyone staying in those areas to wear the proper closed footwear sandals are no no
Very nice. I love the fact that you can walk for blocks and blocks. How hot would you say it is, and does it cool down in the evening? What time of the year is the coolest time. Do you find the language barrier to be a problem? New sub. Planning a trip soon. Thank you for t info.
Thank you for letting us experience this with you. Question. When you’re walking around, do you have your dji pocket 2 in your shirt? Or are you holding it?
If you look at the video again you’ll see that I go out of my way not to record anyone’s faces. I turn the camera to the side whenever someone is coming at me. Of course, people will be caught on camera but no one said anything to me about not being filmed.
While it pains me to say this because I have a personal love for Senegalese people, Accra, Ghana is better organized and more comfortable for solo travelers. Senegal’s leaders can learn lessons from Ghana and Rwanda about investing in its people and infrastructure with the least predatory international partners. It’s too bad that Senegal’s leaders don’t seem to have the awareness and resources to allow their brilliant, pious, talented and friendly people to reach their full potential.
M'y friend Ghana is dirty.i visited.Dakar is most beautiful city in west africa .the city is more organized high speed train beaches hôtels food .Sénégal is the best in west africa
I’m glad you had that experience in Dakar. For me, the people (friendly welcome, piety, style, conversation and food) make Senegal special. But the Senegalese people suffer from a government that doesn’t invest appropriately in infrastructure, including clean water and safe, affordable housing, education, health and cost of living. While Ghana and Rwanda are not perfect, the governments in those countries do invest more in their people and infrastructure resulting in better health outcomes, which I love more than any inconvenience that I could experience in those countries as a visitor. I enjoyed my stay in Accra and, unlike Dakar, I didn’t get sick there.
@@Dedette1966 you lie Sénégal has more best road than Ghana good hospitals hôtels clean houses and hôtels than Ghana good universities best food and more elegant people .their président is working Weil high speed train brt big hospitals

This looks very familiar to much of Mexico City. It’s just a regular neighborhood, and these exist in every single city on earth. Even the world’s “fanciest” cities have regular, non touristy parts.
Wandering around is one of my favorite things to do on vacation
I love getting out there and getting to know a city more.
OMG! How round and bright that sun is!
This is home of the original Jollof Rice and similar to a Jambalaya style dish.😋 I hope you try it.
I love listening and seeing the sights and sounds of a city. Tfs and traveling graces!

I like the look of Dakar's palm-shaded streets.
I loved your coverage of the city, it was honest with humor. Has your Wollof now...?
I am going in 2 weeks. I am so excited and nervous at the same time 🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿
Did you manage?
Welcome ❤
I like watching things like this - Traffic lights are lacking in a lot of places :/
It was a lot easier to walk here than some places with traffic lights.

Nice cars but no paved road?
Like these walking vids. Thanks for sharing!
Are you staying in a hotel, Airbnb or somewhere else?
On this busy street no cafes or restaurants? Looks like you are playing dodge car
I haven't seen a coffee shop type of cafe since i've been here. 🤔
Maybe uptown, Dakar plateau.
Nice

Okay, I know you have changed locations but now I see what you were saying about walking through the construction zone. For me that is not good.
Feel at home ❤️❤️👌🏿

I think maybe they didn't like being filmed 🤔 someone once told me that even though I wasn't directly filming him.

As a senegalese it exactly that it does bother people, they don’t say nothing just out of courtesy. It’s not harmful tho we aren’t just used to it.

Where’s the food market?
Ok I saw it
Will you go to the upscale neighborhoods, what you have shown so far isn't appealing downtown Mexico City looks better than that
Mexico and African nations are not in the same position.
This isn’t even downtown Dakar, this is like 13km away from downtown Dakar in a neighborhood called Almadies
This looks very familiar to much of Mexico City. It’s just a regular neighborhood, and these exist in every single city on earth. Even the world’s “fanciest” cities have regular, non touristy parts.
The fact that you're even comparing it to Mexico city,a first world city is something
