Exactly Auston. You see a lot of people on that beach because it is a holiday. Daaah. That is what we've been trying to tell you. You can't go to the beach in Kenya on a weekday during working hours, on a regular day not even a weekend or a holiday, and expect to see people. That's just crazy. People have other more important things to do dude. lolest. You said it yourself that in Senegal they are celebrating a holiday. No wonder there are people in the beach. That's very normal. Same as Kenya and many other African countries.

All in all, I can say Dakar reminds me of Eastleigh neighbourhood in Nairobi, heavily built up but lacking a bit in infrastructure. Looking forward to the rest of the Dakar series and the Francophone heritage left by the French in Dakar.

Try to hook up with RJ Mahdi. Look him up. You kind of resemble him a little bit. He will make your visit to Dakar very enjoyable. I think you should interview him. Also, it was not fried banana but fried plantain instead. They look alike but plantain is bigger and it is not a fruit. You can't it it raw. You got to cook it. This is what fufu is made of in Ghana and other part of west and central Africa. The fried plantain is delicious. One last thing. They have beaches in Dakar where you can exercice for free as if you were in the gym. They have all the equipment outdoirs on the beach and folks just jog and exercice on the beach. I know you will like it. Miss Trudy had a video exercicing on one of those beaches.

Auston why don’t you buy phone lines at the airport. It’s faster and easier in most countries

As a Kenyan, I always know Senegal 🇸🇳 is my favorite country in West Africa! Senegalese men are tall, dark and very fine with smooth skin 😍Also the women are very beautiful 😍 Senegalese are the most beautiful and attractive in the whole West Africa 😘
Senegal 🇸🇳 is far much better than Ghana 🇬🇭 and Nigeria 🇳🇬 especially in infrastructure!
And I can see some Kenyans already looking down on Dakar saying that Nairobi is ahead! Please my fellow Kenyans, let’s stop this superiority complex we have and learn to appreciate other people’s uniqueness! Dakar’s transportation system is in fact better than what we have in Nairobi!

They do this in all these kinds of videos. Ndio maana tuliitwa haters. It's so childish, they can't just watch and appreciate.

@@donnajoe4442 Imagine! It’s really starting to annoy me as a Kenyan! 😟 Kenya is still a work in progress in spite of all the progress we’ve made! Kenyans should learn to appreciate others without trying to appear better than others! Lol 🙄

@our10picks18 They've watched too many of those videos praising Kenya, and they let that get into their heads. I have called out a few of those, but they don't stop with the comparisons. Ni ushamba na utoto.

33:24 Beach topic : Austin as a big traveler myself I've also noticed that beach culture is not so widespread in most African countries except few of them like Senegal, Cap Vert and some others. Just like you, I was kind of wondering why is that and when I got to know people better and also elders taht really had some deep knowledge I've learn that most of the traditional tales that were passed on generations to generations talked about superstitious stories about the ocean. That's when it gets very interesting cause very old people told me that most of the stories about people not coming back from the ocean are metaphors about Slavery when Ancestors were kidnapped and taken to the sea and never return ! Most young people don't really know where they got that tradition from and some who knows out of decency won't tell you and will find some light deflection to not tell. This was me sharing what I've learned when bonding with people across the Continent. Peace and keep spreading those good vibes and videos bro
