Starting to figure out my formula I think. A big part of why I wanted to make this channel was to improve on speaking, and I think it's helping already! Thanks for watching as always!
Theres a way to move all the animation at the same time whit out have to move the individual keyframes? and no precompose the animation? greate video man :)
I've been editing with FCPX for years professionally, and never knew about all those options in the animation viewer. Stunning! Is there a way to push in or out to reframe shots without using the Ken Burns crop? i can' never get straight keyframes to work without it looking wonky, so Ken Burns seems to be my only option -- or is there a better way?
Yeah! If you right click the start and end point and set them to linear instead of smooth, it pretty much always fixes the weird warble issue when zooming in. Thanks for watching!
Is there a way to set the transform keyframe points to linear by default? When editing longer clips that contain lots of movement keyframes, manually changing every point to linear starts to get frustrating and difficult, especially when the points start to overlap in the browser.
hey Dylan, still I cannot ease in and out a mask with position keyframes. When showing video animation I cannot see the trace lines. Strange that I only see them for some parameters. Thanks a lot!! 🙏
It is a bit annoying that you cannot expand the Video Animation editor for all cases (for example you can in Opacity but you cannot in Transform). Being able to draw a curve for every case would be awesome.
Request - can you explain how to add transitions on multicam clip made for music (different cam / video angle) every few seconds. I can't just add transitions between the different angles since it destries the audio sync. Thanks and really love your clips
Thanks for watching Ezra! That's actually quite unusual that the transitions aren't leaving the clips in sync. My main thought for potential audio issues would be if the multicam isn't on the main timeline? Either that or perhaps the clips in the multicam may be 1-2 frames off, and the sync issues are noticeable when you have a transition? To add a transition every few seconds, you might be able to just select all the clips you want to have a transition and press CMD + T. That should give you a dissolve transition (Or whatever you set as your default transition) on all the cuts in the selected area. I do have a tutorial on multicams that you might be interested in! ruclips.net/video/4wKV4cZulyM/видео.html Hopefully there's a tidbit of info in this comment that helps!
Unfortunately the interpolation in FCP is extremely limited. To my knowledge there is no way to do this natively. Though a lot of this can actually be performed within Motion! However, I have heard of some plugins that help immensely with animation keyframes in Final Cut Pro. The best one I have heard about is mBehavior 2 from Motion VFX. Here's a link if you want to check that out - www.motionvfx.com/store,mbehavior2,p1947.html
Thanks for the video, now I finally realized that "Final cut" has a disgusting interface! I used "After Effects" about 10 years ago and even then everything was much clearer and more convenient! And here!... Worst editing of keyframes!!!
why can't wre expand the transform ? and only the opacity ?
Best final cut tutor on RUclips. Hands down. Thank you dude!
Love the clarity and simplicity.

Wow. That's super disappointing. I bought FCP thinking it came with basic stuff like that out of the box. @@TheFinalCutBro
How about using templates
Too bad the Transform can't have a curve added.
Thanks so much! (My last name is pronounced Harris)
