I have the Cycle 7. Had to wait a year to get my order and had to wait several months more to get a working PCB. I hope the Cycle 8 won't be plagued by production issues like the last one. Love the magnetic latch design tho, it makes very easy for repeated modding.
I think if you're going to adjust ratings by price you should do both. That way we have a more widely comparable rating that isn't skewed as well as one that accounts for value,
@@jammies701 so you’re saying on top of the rating side the categories of feel, sound, and design, also do one for value? And if the board is worth the price it’s marked at?
@@thecaptainsterling well you gave it a 10 for something (design? I can’t remember( saying at this price point it's a 10, but if it was 500 dollars it would be an 8, and i'm saying maybe if you're going to rank things rank them agnostic of value and give it an 8, but also mention that for the price you would consider it a 10, or osmething like that
@@hieukhuatduy7259 I like the cycle design better personally. I think the TB8 did edge the cycle out just a bit in terms of sound for me though which was interesting since it had a skeleton plate. They feel pretty similar I would say though. Both are great but if you want a more sleek board I like the cycle, if you want a better sound maybe the TB8 but by a point maybe!
Hello, thank you for the video about the cycle 8. I want to buy myself my first mechanical keyboard and am still unsure between the bridge75 (which i could get for 155€) and the cycle 8 (350-400€ everything included). Do you think its worth to pay double the price or should I stick to the Bridge? I am not gaming at all, but am working from home and typing quite a lot, also interested in learning to mod the keyboard, kind regards :)
I'm also between those two. Watched all the videos and I think it might not be possible to obtain the sound of bridge75 from cycle8. Cycle8 sounds so thin and clacky in every video. On the other hand, I want to change the keycaps on the bridge75, maybe the switches too. And then the price difference comes down to 50 eur. The build quality of cycle8 is much better and I think worth the cost difference, but I need some proof that this keyboard can sound thick. If not, then I will go with bridge75.
@@renz1663 I would give them both high grades. I think both are great options. I like the overall aesthetic of the Cycle more but the sound of the TB8 slightly more. I think the typing feel is pretty similar!
@@thecaptainsterling yeah cause they are almost similar to each other but i like catch ball structure i like cycle 8 more because of the void color its darker color compared to the tb8 but nice review once again. I love watching your vids full of positivity and love for the hobby!

That metal shade is da bomb.. gonna order mine in that colour!
Do you have the internal weight? From a lot of sound tests I've heard, it improves the sound by quite bit

would brass cover weight get a better sound than the staineless steel cover weight on this. I am also looking to pick one in metal color.

Can't warm myself up to the Cycle. It's chin could rival that of Michael Schuhmacher...

How would you compare this to the Neo80?
What type of mouse pad is that, I love that color

Where do you live where a Cycle 8 costs double the price? The most expensive option without HE is only around 310€ on DeltaKeyCo
buy the neo8 lol, it will look as nice and won't sound dead like the cycle
