Hi Tyler, subscribed to your channel 1 week ago. My husband and I are new to four wheel driving. We love your videos and appreciate all the time and effort that goes into making them. Can't believe this channel isn't bigger!!
ive walked from katoomba to jenolan caves on the 6ft track twice..first time i was 17..took 3 days..first time was the coldest winter ever ..we had a snow fall that came half way up our shins ..i recommend it
My sister and I done the walk but followed a bush track through the bush, we came out under the arch in the valley back in the 70’s. We followed those stairs to the bottom and walk to Jenolan . Now I am lucky to go to the post office hahaha
Another cool video, wish i knew more about the 4wd options when i visited in early 2017. Also when I had to recover a car in similar situation with that style of tow bar. Big shifter and remove the ball and a shackle fits in the hole well, it's a bit of mucking around but arguably alot safer.
Great video of my back yard dam the blue mountains is a top spot to live. 6:10 bloody nora if ya don't know how to use a dunny for a tomtit you probably shouldn't visit Australia
Hi Tyler big fan . my family and I were hoping to go out yesterday and see the bowtells swinging bridge after see you and your son out there .but unfortunately the six foot track had been closed by the wineries so we tried to go another way and it was closed as well so we’re disappointed with our result .which way did you go and also I see you are using a vms gps from kings how do you rate them . Great videos big fan
Love the videos! Keep it up and I’d say this channel is destined to really kick off. It’s good work 👍👌 I went looking for this track and found it, but was a walking track with a sign saying driving it was prohibited 🤷♂️? Came in via Megalong Rd from memory.
Found it this time, cheers 👍 The section of six foot track from glen chee rd intersection down to the cox river campground rough going (and in the other direction, for that matter..)? Recently acquired a well setup lifted 80 series with lockers, but no winch and bugger all experience 4wding 😂
Hi, are there any carnivores in the blue mountain forests? I am planning to visit Australia only to see the Blue Mountains and Ayers Rock. My plan is to camp in both these places.
Where did you get through after camping at coxs river, was there a few months back but could only see a locked gate to make it through to jenolan caves road via 6 foot track?
Hey mate, we just turned around at the Coxs river campsite as its a dead end and went back the way we came in and then followed that road all the way through, past where the turn off was we came in on, to Jenolan Caves (its all just the 6 foot track). There wasn't a locked gate when we were there unless its changed recently.
Hey mate, the chainsaw on the roof has a locked cable around it. And then in the back everything is neatly squished together so if I'm leaving the car somewhere I lock the tailgate and it makes it very hard for someone to get anything out. Plus my fridge is locked to the tub with a bike chain and the two big blue boxes both have locks on them. So someone could steal stuff if they tried hard enough I guess haha but most of the stuff is reasonably secure
Tyler Thompson Awesome thanks for the reply !! Ive got a similar navara. I was thinking of getting rid of my tonneua cover as its ripping now, and then buying those blue boxes and bolting them down from the inside to my floor rails using a unistrut channel nut and an M8 bolt with a large washer. Cheers 👍🏾👍🏾
hey tyler loved the vid im planning a trip my self with the family and chance u can send me a bit of a itinerary of your trip im in qld never been south of the boarder
Hey mate, I don't really have an itinerary of the trip sorry, just kinda of made it up as we went and cant remember the exact details. But if you watch the vids then just check them on the map you should be able to roughly follow the trip. If you have any specific questions feel free to ask
Mate it's blessed to see how you and your family have grown and evolved. Love your content and this still holds up well quality-wise in 2023!

Thanks mate. Oh okay cool, thanks for the tip. I'll have to look into that if it ever happens again.

Where does the track start exactly?

Just trying to research the 6 foot track for a trip with my toddlers and i stumble across an old TT episode.... oh my doesn't Kai look young haha 😁.
That is so crazy haha
Great video mate! Going out that way this weekend. How long did the 6 foot track take from Cox river to caves Rd?
Thanks mate! Not too long, think it was around 2-3 hours from memory. We left after breakfast and made it to Jenolan Caves by lunch
Hi mate, great vid! I just want to ask if its an easy track going there? I'm a beginner so, I'm still gaining confidence. THanks
Thanks mate, yep its easy
How do we get to these roads ?
Hey mate great vids and camera work .do u remember what rd you first started at the 6 foot track I’ve been further up but want to enter at Katoomba.
Hey mate, cheers! 6 foot track is walking only from Katoomba, only the second half is driving where you come onto it further up
Yeh I thought so thanks keep em coming
Love the videos! Keep it up and I’d say this channel is destined to really kick off. It’s good work 👍👌
I went looking for this track and found it, but was a walking track with a sign saying driving it was prohibited 🤷♂️? Came in via Megalong Rd from memory.
Thanks mate, appreciate it! A lot of it is walking only but there is some of that you can drive
Found it this time, cheers 👍

Hi, are there any carnivores in the blue mountain forests? I am planning to visit Australia only to see the Blue Mountains and Ayers Rock. My plan is to camp in both these places.
Hello, no there's not any carnivores you need to worry about, safe for camping
what kind of question is this
Where did you get through after camping at coxs river, was there a few months back but could only see a locked gate to make it through to jenolan caves road via 6 foot track?

Hey bud, how do you keep all the gear locked in the back of the tray when your away from the vehicle. i.e. fridge, chainsaw, pelican cases?
Hey mate, the chainsaw on the roof has a locked cable around it. And then in the back everything is neatly squished together so if I'm leaving the car somewhere I lock the tailgate and it makes it very hard for someone to get anything out. Plus my fridge is locked to the tub with a bike chain and the two big blue boxes both have locks on them. No worries mate, sounds like a good plan! Ive never had any problems with people taking stuff
