  • @tederbate - The teenage boy should have been more alert while shoplifting in a French department store at Christmas, although he is unfortunate that the security guy apprehending him, Hubert, is peeved he isn't making progress with Véronique. It also doesn't help that the boy is too vocal for his own good, and that Hubert and his fellow security colleague, Fred, despise each other. It ends up with both adults acting like kids, and our young shoplifter probably adding to his woes by calling the pair stupid.
What happens next? Who knows, this sub-storyline has the abrupt ending you see her, and our youthful, unnamed "voleur à l'étalage" disappears from sight.

The boy is arguably smarter (aside from shoplifting) than both the security men put together. Hahahahaha!

But he doesn't know when to keep his mouth shut! Perhaps he should have broken down in tears and gone for the sympathy vote?

@@tederbate You are right: or should he have shut his mouth and walked out while the two unprofessional jerks were fighting?

To adapt the words of Jerry Lee Lewis, "It's a French film, what more do you need to know!"
