I like some highrises. Mine is on 6th floor. As high as I care to go. The fire trucks can reach up to 7. I might can jump 6 and live and not be fully crippled. Total floors are 12. The views are amazing. It's cooler and also retains heat too. I can walk 6 flights if necessary if elevators stop but generally all don't stop at once. Thank God. I started my adult life in a highrise (15 floors) then went to houses and duplexes and flats etc and now back in a highrise in my senior years (12 floors). Wow. The circle of life is amazing. From a youthful cool fun building in Florida in an upcoming neighborhood to a senior, disabled or able-bodied very comfy building in Ohio with great amenities in a fab neighborhood (vintage/collegiate). Awesome. PTL.
I live on the corner of the 10th floor of my building, each floor is about 18 ft high, with the lobby ceiling being about 25 ft high, so I'm about an NFL Field and a half high in the air.
Best part is, no insects. No mosquitoes, no flies, no fruit flies, no June bugs, no ants and no roaches etc.
Less electricity bill, because I'm on the top floor corner. Alot of natural light comes in.
Because of no insects, I can leave my windows open without screens to let in nice breezes during summer.
Less noise because I'm farther away from the ground.
Less likely to catch a stray bullet from a shootout because I'm so high up.
Less traffic from neighbors, so I don't have to worry about hearing them or them hearing me. I only have 3 neighbors on the 10th floor, rest of the spots are vacant.
No worries about flooding from anyone above me, because I'm on the top.
Our roof top patio with an amazing view of the downtown area is one flight of stairs above me, it takes me literally 15 seconds or less to get access to it.
Amazing views from my windows.
Could be more, but that's what I thought of so far.
Does any pollution reach at 10th floor, im buying road side flat at 10th floor
*Advantages of Top/Last floor*

1. No floor after top floor only roof after this so no any anoying sounds or disturbense from uper floor residents.
2. Top floor has a wider and fantastic City View
3. Top floor corridors are much cleaner than other floors and high privacy because your floor is the last floor, so no one goes through your floor to other floors by stairs, And also unnecessary persons are not coming to the last floor so you also feel more secure & safe compared to lower floors. only needy person or last floor resident person will go to top floor.
4. Top floor has more wind and air flow. Top floor apartment has more Breezy & Windy
5. Very quiet atmosphere, No sounds coming from ground traffic or shops, and also no Mosquitos/flys etc
6. when lifts will come to Last/top floor it usually empty.
7. Top last floor resisdents have opportunity from builders to purchase roof and construt on it or use solar panels on it.
8. Top floor coridor has natural light come from roof/sky because it is last floor right under the building roof.
9. Usally Top floor apartment cost is cheaper than other floors
10. in winter your appartment is more cooler then other floors.
*Dis-Advantages of Top/Last floor*

1.Roof heat - but today roof coatings can solve this problem
2.Lift takes time to reach last floors. but if more then 2 lifts then it also solve this problem
3.Water pressure Problem but if water lines are properly mananged then no problem.
Sir, in a tower of Stilt Parking + Lower Ground , Upper Ground + 14 Floors ( Total Comes to 16 Floors ). In this Tower Which Floor Selection Shall be Ideal and Best to Choose from 5th, 7th, 9th Floor. Please Reply, Guide and Suggest n Advice. Thanks.
Now a days all flats have Sun protection and Rain Protection at Rooftop. And Too floor mein jo hai Woh Roof bhi zada use kar sakte hai... And Light bhi zada reheta hai.
It is a disadvantage to live in high rise building maintenance cost water and sewage is big problem.

My flat is 11 th floor
Utility cost is not cheaper in high rise apartments and maintenance fees are high. UDS value is less. But other things your spot on
we live on 12th floor but still hear dogs barking at night :(

Living in a high rise apartment is the worst kind of life .. in developed countries people aspire to but suburban independent houses .only in underdeveloped Asian countries people look at skyscrapers as luxury products . All fun till a fire breaks out

Hi sir..we bought in 23 rd floor only 23 floors are there fl..everything was nice..is it good or not?
Top floor is good it provides the best view.
But if you have problem of lift breakdown or heating of slab due to direct sunlight then dont go for the top floor
Please ask your building engineer if the terrace slab is water leak proof and ask the length of slab, if the slab is more than 2.5 Feet than you will not feel any heat plus Extra pop module adds more thickness to sealing No heat at all

@@samarthhanda Sound is less when you are at higher floors, its not that the sound doesn't riches at all, you will hear honking , people talking, childrens playing, etc but it will not annoy you the pitch is low. Where as lower floors its loud right
