There are literally thousands of RUclips video clips which seem to prove that it's impossible to lift anything with a crane without totally destroying it and everything else within reach. I was holding my breath and...Congratulations! You did it!
@@MrPLC999 Huh, you make no sense. Of course cranes can successfully complete what they are tasked to do. And the operators are competent as well. Your comment is stupid.
When I retired 10 years ago I started watching various world cruising channels. Yours was definitely one of the first that re-ignited a passion I'd always felt a need to "go to sea" & undertake - since I was 9 years old. At 73 yrs and in failing health I'll never achieve that ambition however I take vicarious pleasure in watching the birth of your new dream start. Thanks immensely for the joy and pleasure it gives me.
At 77 years, already in too bad shape to start any realistic project, I can only your words "I'll never achieve that ambition however I take vicarious pleasure in watching the birth of your new dream start. Thanks immensely for the joy and pleasure it gives me" ....
Will if your health is failing then fuck it man. Sell it all buy a vessel that is setup for 1 person and easy to operate and go. Go spend the rest of your life doing what you dreamed of
Wow, that was really dramatic photography. It was really well produced and very special to watch. This boat build series has really exceeded my expectations.
Okay, SERIOUSLY,PLEASE! WHO HAS A SAILING CHANNEL, THAT ISNT EVEN SAILING at the moment, yet STILL produces such an unreal episode!? Love every bit of your process and progress,of course! Best sailing channel!!
Nearly 900 thousand subscribers probably watched this happen. I'm an old retired guy living in the Idaho mountains, I've been watching you for several years and look forward to every episode! I was a Gunners Mate on a Destroyer so I've spent some time on the Ocean. Always dreamt of having my own sail boat and doing what you've done. To old, no money so I live the dream vicariously through you! I'm very happy for you and intend for you to have a safe and blessed life. With love Billy T.❤
Congrats on a milestone, guys! I was the chief engineer in a shipyard, and watching events like flips and launches (and best of all - deliveries!) never got old.
Awesome! 45 years since I flipped my 39' fiberglass cat near Milano, Italy. Now, at 78 I'm rebuilding her on 'my beach' in Thailand. Sailing again in 2 years. Come n visit! 🎉
This boat is very exciting to look at right now, at this stage. I cannot even fathom what she will look like near completion. What a project. Best part is, the crew is learning her, literally, inside out! Huge, huge advantage for diagnosing issues under sail. Such a great video series...... congratulations Delos, you guys and all at the boat yard rock!
She'll look a lot like the other aluminum cat sitting 5 boats up in the yard at 20:00. That's the one they looked at before they decided to build Delos 2.0.
I really appreciate the choice of music during the flip. It was curious and intrigued not terrified and stressful. My nerves, brain and heart REALLY appreciate the editting choice. Thank you!
That was one of the most fascinating things I've ever watched. And the job you guys did video and editing that made it all the better. Great job by all involved!
The great thing about this is that these crane operators have done this many times before so they slowed the process to create more of a dramatic event. Well done. Nicely shot and edited.
Fantastic Flip !! Congratulations on a smooth step! Thanks again for your time and kindness and Selfie at the boat show. You two are super sweet. Sssooo Cool to meet you both in person! Cheers! 🌞⛵🌴
Fantastic boat builders, I mean aluminum welders. Superb architect designer and team. Very professional cranes operators and company with caution always in mind. Well done guys. Jim Rodgers
We might be a bit over the top nanny state here in Australia but at least you know that your half built ali cat won't disintegrate while being suspended off the ground and you can also be assured the crane operators are top level and so is their gear. Well done to all concerned
So much pride for our Aussie men who work in the industry of construction and boat building, what an amazing feat they have achieved, I’ve never seen anything like this before, the crane operator must have nerves of steel. How exciting now she’s flipped, and the next phase begins. Loved seeing your dad in his Aussie sports jacket, supporting the project. Congratulations to all involved, oi oi oi
Was an awesome job to do for you Brian and Kaz, love seeing all the smiles and excitement from the Slew Crane Cabin, It’s jobs like this that make our job so rewarding 😎
This is so cool haha! Literally goosebumps. The ENTIRE time the boat was flipping and turning, I imagined it with cinematic bars top and bottom with Hans Zimmer's music. Congrats on this HUGE milestone and taking us with y'all on this next chapter and journey!
Been watching you since we first had an inkling we may be interested in sailing. We've watched this channel grow, have grown with you. Just when I think I couldn't get more inspired or excited, you once again amaze! Great job! You guys make an incredible team!
Congratulations on the planning, execution, and operation. Crane operators and riggers are unsung heros. 🫡 to the Owner/ Operator Wolfie and his crew. 💪 Thanks for sharing.
I can’t believe after all you guys have gone through in the last two years you still end your videos with Sierra’s ‘short’ bike ride in the cockpit of your boat. And I still ;laugh every time! Loving the new boat build1
This was an epic undertaking, it's a tribute to everyone's skill that the flip went so smoothly. I had a Star Wars Millennium Falcon moment as D2 was going up! A camera in the cab of the big crane looking over Woody's shoulder would have provided an interesting perspective.
I can’t begin to tell you how much you have changed the way I look at life!!! The inspiration is just way above normal thinking. I freaking love you guys!!! I will follow and watch every episode till I can’t or until you stop making them. Thank you so much for sharing your life and experiences, what a pleasure. So grateful for my buddy Mike for turning me on to you guys ten years ago!!! This show has gotten me through more of life’s trials and tribulations than can possibly imagine. 2.0 is looking good. Can’t wait to see it in the water!!!!!🤙🏽🌴😎
Woo Hoo! What a flipping good time. We do that stuff all the time in the shipyard. The only difference is that the parts we're flipping weigh in at 50 tons or more. I was a bit concerned to see the big crane set up perpendicular to the CL of the boat such that the boom on that crane would experience a force off to the side when the small crane began pulling the hull to the side. The big crane should have been set in front of the hull with the small crane at the rear such that there would be no radial force placed on the boom of the 60 ton crane. Good job Y'all. I can't wait to see her in the water.
Nice smooth flip. Now the work begins. Enjoy the topside build, with all of us watching the progress, just as we like it. But WOW what a looker it is going to be. You better tell Dan he needs to built a larger shed. LOL
Congratulations! I wholeheartedly wish you all the best for safe and happy progress on your project. I’m also pleasantly surprised by how quickly your beautiful little nugget is growing, along with Devos 2.0.
as it's shown on your amazing vid, lots of people were there to witness this achievement, just to let you know i was there too, and it makes me cry, well done guys, i'm so happy for you...
Fascinating to watch. So happy to finally get to see this. I've avoided at least one other vlog that I saw reporting on watching the event, because I wanted to see it here first. Well done to the crane operators. Looking forward to watching the deck plates go on next!
Been looking forward to this for weeks and didn't disappoint. Love seeing it with all the ribs showing and all the work thats gone into it. It looked big upside down but wow it looks huge for some reason the right way up. Great work and wishing you all the best for the rest of the build
I was a crane operator and had to lift tons of building materials up to workers on the roof of the buildings. Sometimes it was hairy when the weight was near max.
It’s nice to see you still intend to continue with the sailing lifestyle unlike two other channels that have given up sailing to live on shore. I didn’t watch those other channels to watch someone build a fence or go on a house search.
Congratulations on this milestone of the build process. Hats off to all of you, she look sweet as just a shell. I can not wait to see how the rest comes together.
This was exhilaratingly scary and so much fun at the same time!!!! Very well done everyone!!!! You are on such an amazing life adventure and thank you so much for bringing us along.
Such a non-trivial task. Beautifully shot and you captured the expressions of the team perfectly. So happy the stars and moons aligned on the weather too. Amazing!

Wow, just great to see the professional way these guys go about their business, can’t wait for the rest of the build. Please make your vids 30-40 minutes. ❤it!
I'm happy for you guys! I've enjoyed watching you guys over the years, but watching Delos 2.0 come together has been something else. Beautiful boat coming together, right there!
Y' know, there so much more to building a boat than having a hull in the water. We had a super brief introduction to what Kazaa is doing on interior layout. But I think covering all the minutia of all it's fitting out would be mind-blowing!
Fantastic !!!!!! Big Jobe !!!!Wonderfull production, of videos,Congratulations for all Staff.....The Boat lux line a Space Nave Nave.... Very string and light.
Congrats to Brian and Karen...delos2.0 looks like an incredible vessel. I personally cannot wait to see where you plan to sail her. Thank you for sharing so much great content for us land lubbers...Sailing SV Delos...the YT standard by which all sailing channels should be measured.
Have just loved watching these video’s, love the vibe and all the guys! Dan is the man, he is the best, they broke the mould with him. Boat’s looking so cool and the flip was magic.
Would really like to see an episode on how all the anticipated galvanic reactions are being isolated or controlled with this being an electric boat and aluminum hull... the build looks excellent ....very excited to see the finished product...
The camera work....the music....the story telling......the editing....This is what sets Delos apart from the other channels. Well done. Well done.

textbook operation

Love your work legends. "Flipping two tinnies with a bit of shit in the middle" might be the most Australian way to describe a aluminium cat ever?
Awesome! No doubts about the structural integrity of that hull! What a wonderful, safe , strong home this will be. Congratulations!
