I liked the boar blanket material. I have a 1979 hunter sailboat with nasty carpet on the interior vertical surfaces. When I remove the carpet there is some residue glue on the fiberglass surface. Is it ok to just install the boat blanket directly over that surface? Thanks Bob
Yes, you can apply the new boat blanket over an surface that still has old glue residue on it. As long as it is flat with no chunks of old carpet stuck on the surface. You must remove the old nasty carpet, but not the old glue residue.
Nice project! I've found that where you can if you use a roller to apply extra pressure over the surface the bond is even stronger.
That's a great idea!
Nice 👍😁
Thank you! Cheers!
