Oldest siblings being trailblazers: I recently found out my oldest sister taught my parents to say, "get to a stopping point" 10 or 15 minutes before we had to stop playing a video game so we could save. I loved that they did that when I was growing up, but I never knew it was my sister who got them to do it.

My cousins (13F and 9F) did the adopted thing to their little brother (~4M). They said there used to be another little brother but he was bad so he was sent to A Bad Place Very Far Away. So whenever little brother was bothering them, they'd say "stop it or we'll send you away." It worked for a couple weeks until their parents figured it out and everyone was punished.

Pretty much the same story when I hugged my brother 5 years older than me the first time meeting him. My parents took me out for ice cream, sitting me down and telling me how I had a brother from a different mom, to me it was very exciting as a 7 yr old so when I finally got to see him, I ran to him excited, giving him a hug where I was then pushed away and yelled at. My brother was upset, told everyone I wasn’t his sister and sadly hated me for a few years.

For the adopted thing, if your siblings try it on you, just respond: “that means that mom and dad love me the best because they actually went out of their way to personally choose me. It's funny and all, but biological children are usually planned though, and adopted children are the often the last hope.
@@ChocoDee_Hz Why would they take on at least 18 years of the financial, physical, and emotional responsibilities of raising a non-biological child just so they could say they are not evil. They could just volunteer at a shelter or donate to a charity for that. No, it's more likely that they actually wanted me, regardless of the extra effort, and that is something magical that no one can take away. That's what I would say anyway.😀

I used to tell my little sister that we were walking home and heard a baby crying, so we looked in the dumpster, found her laying in trash and decided we’d take her home. She used to cry so much, but we laugh on it now lmao
Same with my sister. She was in there with her real mum who had no arms or legs which is why they were stuck in there to begin with. We told her that we took her home and left her mum in there and she's probably wondering where you are right now. Not like she can get to us anyway. She was so worried about her real mum 😂
My brother and I were expected to always finish our food. When we were five and six, I dumped Tabasco in my brother's soup when his back was turned. He tried to eat it and said he couldn't. He got in so much trouble...
I told my younger stepsister that the Easter Bunny had been in the house looking for her, all 7 feet and sharp teeth of him. She ran away, and of course was found; I was grounded from everything electronic for a week (computer, microwave, fridge, couldn’t turn on lights, etc.)

As an adopted kid in the 1970s, first day of kindergarten a playmate told the entire school I was adopted. My mom was furious and banned me from playing with her. I'm like, that's a punishment to me, too. Plus, if I'm so special and all, why is it sucha secret?😂

I used to tell my brother all the time that he was adopted and he used to cry. When he grew out of that I started telling him that he ate his twin in the womb and that's why he had asthma...
