  • Both done on moderate area damage to showcase how tanky Herald can be even without Ventari or traiting for survivability.

    Damage-wise the builds are around 5k for full healing setups and 15k+ for celestial. You can do more damage on celestial by swapping legends off cooldown and taking different sigils, but I decided to use utility facets twice in my rotation to have better boon uptime. You should always use your F2 in Glint for boon extension because the passive bonuses in other legends are generally not as valuable as having more energy for healing, but there are cases where they may be good.
    This is more of an example of how to play the build, as long as you use most of your Facets off cooldown it is hard to go wrong.
    Herald relies on blasting fire fields to keep up Might on allies. Mace does this job really well, and you can also get additional blasts with Ventari elite or swapping to staff with skill 4. When using Mallyx, the blasting suffers a bit due to the dark field around you, so you only get one blast instead of two from the mace. Make sure to always combo skill 2 and 3.
    For the opener I stayed a while in Glint to pulse Might from the facet, and reached 25 stacks in around 10 seconds with very little effort. The celestial build struggles a bit more with ramping up, but if you focus on blasting at the beginning it should not take much longer.
    You also have a ton of CC with staff and each legend also has some access to CC skills. Sort your meter by breakbar damage and you'll easily be top dps!
    Take Jalis where stability is needed or if you want some extra damage for the full heal build. Shield 4 and Staff skills provide good healing along with the passive heals from using legend skills and regeneration, so it is often safe to drop Ventari entirely.
    With the celestial build you still need to pick the appropriate legend, but Mallyx provides the most damage when nothing else is needed.
    You will always have 25 Might, Fury, Quickness, Swiftness, Regeneration and Protection from Glint, while Stability is exclusively from Jalis. There is a small amount of Vigor in Ventari when using the primary healing ability, and Resistance can be provided with Ventari elite or Mallyx.
    I use Retribution traits as default for healing because of the grandmaster which pulses Might on you when you have resolution. This boosts your Might generation a lot, because whenever you get any boon you give Might to allies from Shared Empowerment. Resolution can be kept up by using elite skills or dodge rolling, which synergizes well with the heal on dodge roll from Salvation. Invocation traits are also decent and provide some extra boons, but not much else.

    We are a bit overcapped in condi duration by like 5% here because of pact of pain on the cele variant, is there anything we could swap out like maybe more seraph's or would it still be worse/not worth? This seems super strong and versatile regardless, I look forward to trying it

    Do we have to change some traits if we go for jalis instead of ventari?

      keep the traits unless you for some reason need more sustain

      TL;DR: This is just my opinion and you don't need Invocation to give Stab 👍
      I'm sorry that this will be long ramble about Healing Herald 😁 Default healing Herald build in my opinion is: Full Harriesr, Sword/Shield & Staff using Devastation 2-2-2 with Dragon/Assassin legends 👍
      That build is able to do 90% of encounters in Raids and Strikes. You only swap to Staff if you need CC or Healing, you mainly just camp Sword.
      You don't need to generated 25 might currently depending on the DPS Support. Mechansit, Condi Tempest, Mirage, Specter and Renegade all can top the might to 25 so you can use sword. Chronomancer, Willbender and Untamed don't generate any might so you might need to use Mace which in full harries is lower dps and healing 👍sword 2 is healing.
      The question about using Invocation with Dwarf is a simple answer "No need." If you want tp use it then it is 2-1-3 for easier stability as then pressing F1 and going in to Dwarf will give stability. There really is no need for this 😁 you have time to F1 and then drop the road almost anytime you actually need it. But if you are learning Gorseval timings it might help at the start until you don't need it anymore.
      Honestly, you don't use Centaur for Healing 👍 you use it for Projectile hate 9 out of 10 times 😁 Adina & Sabir in W7 or Bone Skinner. You might want to use Centaur in Vale Gaurdian for easier healing timing 👍 but that depends on the group's skill level ofc. But in my honest opinion if you need Centaur to Heal you should go HAM or HFB or Druid or Tempest all which heal better -.-
      Retribution is used by Tanks for the Damage reduction as well giving you more Dodges and your Dodges do heal which in this video are 100% ignored 🤔I always run Retribution in Vale Guardian as that helps to be able to double dodge anytime the green goes pop with Centaur just to be safe 👍 and swap to Devastation and Dragon/Dwarf for Gorseval 😉
      On Celestial Build the Centaur should be Demon where same as Assassin you want to activate elite skill 0 and then just spam 2 for dps 😄 I don't know why he is forcing so much healing when in practical fight you don't need it most of the times 😏 Staff 234 and Dodge as well any ability pressed in Dragon are healing which is more than enough burst healing for most things 🤤 in my opinion if you run full celestial then you don't need that much healing and at that point why not just go Demon for full dps?
      The weakness of Herald is actually lack of Aegis which makes you unable to heal CM Deimos without AlacDPS Mechanist 👍
      AlacDPS Mechanist is the best pair for Herald 👍 stability aegis and might covers the biggest weakness in it's kit. Mirage is also good but usually they don't want to take Stability for you 😏
      You should never stack 2 Heal Heralds in the same squad in my opinion because F2 is still 10 man unique buff they forgot to nerf to 5 targets 😂
      In the end you play what you find fun and is able to heal trough all the fights ^^ you may even swap class between bosses if you invest enough time and effort to make multiple heal builds. But if you play Firebrand there is no point playing Herald as Firebrand is just overall better healer. ONLY Exception is Adina Tanking in my opinion is better done as Herald 😏 you can camp Dragon and when sand phase starts swap to Centaur and before projectiles start activate the bubble and only atuo-attack this will allow you to bubble all 4 hands 😁while being the tank and giving more than enough healign for the group. Don't have Legendaries and I'm running full Minstrel currently 👍 I would roll to full Harriers but I don't have Dungeon Currency 😂
      BUT HEY! What the Duck do I know? I only have like 150 hours experience on Revenant only, my main is Engineer which has like +500h 😂 I'm specialized on healing builds and been learning every build including Harbinger and Untamed healing builds 😏

      @@xezzee I think you're overlooking why Retribution is the default choice, it has synergy with Herald traits.
      Greeding dps with Shiro, Devastation and swords makes no sense because it adds next to nothing compared to keeping scholar uptime on your allies. You should always focus on stacking up might faster, and with Mace you'll always have more damage with Corruption. Devastation is entirely useless for anything other than staying alive.

    • @xezzee
      @xezzee Год назад

      @@Umbrrra What is the synergy on Retribution with Herald Traits?
      Have you compared harriers/magic on Golem testing the Mace Corruption vs Sword Devastation damage? as the video is missing that part fully 😁

    • @Umbrrra
      @Umbrrra  Год назад +4

      @@xezzee The synergy is written in the description, it is an integral part to understanding how Herald is providing might.
      Swords are not only lower damage, they provide no boons and are therefore objectively useless. That is why they will not even be a consideration for a support build.

      @npetersen76 Год назад

      Yes. I run it often. Low vigor uptime if you’re not swapping to Venturi often.
      But other than that most times you will never have to swap to Venturi.
      And if you’re running with an alac mech or a alac mirage you can run staff for even more healing.
