Heart - "Stairway to Heaven" Live at the Kennedy Center Honors Van wait til you see Ann & Nancy perform this for Robert Plant, John Paul Jones, & Jimmy Paige. Ann is the ONE person who could do this song justice. Wait til you see the display of emotions they go through seeing their song performed. Imagine singing this to Robert? Playing the guitar solo in front of Jimmy? WOW! You better be phenomenal! 😂 *Note, Jason Bonham (John Bonham's son) plays the drums to honor his late Dad. Easily one of my favorite performances ever. Oh, and the President and First Lady always attend. I think you're gonna have a big smile! Enjoy!
Yea I brought that up in his last Heart reaction. Hopefully he listens because he says he loves Led Zeppelin and the Heart tribute may be the greatest cover of all time.
Yea I brought that up in his last Heart reaction. Hopefully he listens because he says he loves Led Zeppelin and the Heart tribute may be the greatest cover of all time.
The entire Dreamboat Annie album is worth listening to. It's amazing, as is much of what came after. Heart are legends. Their performance of this song at their Rock & Roll HOF induction, with original members of the band, is such a joy to watch. You can't go wrong with Heart, especially the early stuff.
Since you are such a zep fan, Stairway to heaven is a must. Others have mentioned it below. Please. It is a tribute with heart and jason bonham playing the drums. The looks on Robert, Jimmy and JPJ faces alone is worth it
There were estranged for about 3 years but they're back out touring. I saw them in 2019 and they're supposed to come back out again next year. They had a big comeback in the mid-80s and a ton of hits in that area as well. Nancy does lead vocals on a song called These dreams.
Just an FYI, Robert was crying during Hearts performance because he was wishing that Jason Bonham was there with them. He was playing drums and it was a great surprise to Robert, he had no idea.
@@Sawdoff2 Thank you. I did assume that amazing performance was what you were referring to, but how did you learn of that? His feelings at that particular moment?
@@chrishowell199 I was watching an interview with Jimmy Page, (don't ask which one) and he spoke about why Robert teared up. He had said to Jimmy that he wished they invited Jason to attend and then he saw Jason on the drums.
Van, you’ve got to watch live performances. You’ll LOVE watching Nancy “dance” with her guitar! More Heart Please! Tribute to Led Zeppelin- Stairway to Heaven
They are both very talented. Ann plays lead and backing vocals, flute, autoharp, acoustic guitar and Nancy plays rhythm and lead guitar, acoustic guitar, backing and lead vocals, harmonica, mandolin, keyboards. And Ann's voice has aged as well as a fine wine does. It has only gotten better and better over the years. It was the Kennedy Center Honors Led Zeppelin where Ann got a standing ovation from the remain members of Zeppelin (Robert Plant, John Paul Jones, & Jimmy Paige).
I'm so GLAD you've found HEART! These wonderful performers are such marvelous performers, composers, and singers in their own rights, together they're MAGIC! Hit that Thang!!
I’ve always wanted to sing like Ann and play like Nancy. That’s Nancy playing the mess out of that guitar. She got asked if there was a man in the wings playing while she pantomimed. Sisters fighting? They once got asked if they were lovers. Ann about killed the dude. It’s all bs. When have you ever heard that sisters don’t fight? Lol! You HAVE to check out them doing Stairway to Heaven!!! It’s A MORAL IMPERATIVE!!! It’s Robert who cries. He hates peoples covering it. Ann and Nancy were so nervous to do it. Afterward he said she did awesome. There’s a whole interview about it. Also, they got asked back in the day if they wanted to sleep with Zeppelin. They said no. They wanted to BE Zeppelin! So the tribute was mind blowing that they got to do it.
Just saw Ann Wilson in June..She's still got a great voice. And she sang Zeppelin. Along with Queen and Aerosmith. I've seen her many times with Heart.
Some amazing queens of rock...Love them, Annes Vocals are raw and heavenly and Nancys acoustic guitar skills and background vocals amazing ...Thank you so much, Peace
Very few could out sing Ann Wilson. Male or female! I saw them live here in South Louisiana a few years ago. Ann was 68 and Nancy was 64 and still hitting those notes! No auto tune. Yes they cover Stairway to Heaven! To top it off they were smok’n hot back in the day!
The lead singer fell in love with a draft dodger from the Vietnam war (Magic Man) and followed him and his band to Canada where they spent their first few years in the band. They came back when the war ended and draft dodgers were pardoned. That’s behind the lyrics.
I highly suggest “Magic Man” next! Just strap in for that riff too! Love it!! Love Heart period! Also, their song “All I wanna do is make love to you.” OFFICIAL videos is a MUST - 💙👍✌️ And DEFINITELY Heart performing a tribute to Led Zeppelin- doing “Stairway to Heaven” live at the Kennedy Center Honors- Zeppelin in the balcony watching, among MANY other celebrities- PHENOMENAL
Make sure you watch (FULL VERSION) of their tribute to Led Z. Titled "Heart Stairway to Heaven live at Kennedy Center Honors (FULL VERSION)" is a must to see Robert Plant, Jimmy Paige and John Paul Jones's reaction because they were there. (FULL VERSION) is the best version to watch.
The love of my life sang this at me when it came out. Pure passion for a few years. Left me when she couldn’t handle my family tragedy. Devastated, understandable, but unforgettable.
I grew up listening up Heart. Ann Wilson amd Pat Benetar, they’re voices are amazing!! And I love the face you made when she did that one high pitch “Craaaazzzyyyyy”
🥀 I enjoy your reactions ! On this song, I feel you're really missing something if you aren't WATCHING the Live 1978 video for it !! You have to know that Nancy Wilson does that spectacular guitar intro to the song. It's something you have to see, bro !!! ⚡⚡⚡ And I'm sure you found out by now that the sister's also wrote the song as well !! 😍
As others have listed, their version of Stairway at the Kennedy Center Honors is top notch. Also Alone, What About Love, and Magic Man are great ones that can't be missed
that’s Nancy picking that guitar VERY good at the beginning of the song.. also Nancy wrote this song.. Ann and Nancy wrote almost all of Hearts songs.. very talented, when Nancy wrote and perfected this song, the lyrics r so beautiful, poetry in motion
I met them one night at a little suburban club in Seattle. They sat in on a couple of songs with the band. Unbelievable. Got to talk with them for awhile-so down to earth and friendly!
got to see heart live in the early 90's. they still rocked as hard as they did in their early days. after the second song the house became out if control. it was an awsome show. one of the best. awsome got the chance to see them live. kennedy center honors is an awsome trubite LZ
@Tad Davis Yes!!! I have been trying to get someone react to songs from that concert for 2 years now. Of all their live DVDs, that one is by far my favourite. Every track is a must. IMO, Alive In Seattle is to Heart what PULSE is to Pink Floyd.
If you are a Zeppelin fan, you are about to become a Heart fan. Their hottest track is 'Magic Man' from this same album released in 1976. They performed a legendary tribute to Zeppelin at the Kennedy Centre in front of Barack Obama and Jimmy , Robert, and John Paul Jones who witnessed Heart performing the most jaw-dropping version of Stairway to Heaven imaginable..YOU HAVE TO SEE IT!! I also highly recommend the classic songs Magic Man and Mistral Wind.
Heart sang tribute of "Stairway to Heaven". Entire band was teared up. In the video, Led Zeppelin is shown often. Obama' rocked out! You posted it before. Must watch again.
Check out the video “ Alone” so worth it ! They’re fine!! That’s Nancy on the guitar which she is know for having killer skills..she is also in the top ten best female guitarist of all time. Yes they did write it.
"Straight On" has a killer groove and Anne's vocals with Nancy's harmonies!!! Off the chain 🔥🔥🔥
Been hoping someone would react to Straight On or Kick it Out

@@jackastor5265 I commented it also on his "Barracuda" reaction. Van's so great - I feel confident he will get to it. He's gonna LOVE IT! 😍🔥
A great tribute song!
I mentioned it in the last Heart reaction too. Let's hope Van gets to it soon. Anticipation is killing me.
Magic Man. ❤️
"Dog & Butterfly" will show you their softer side. So sweet & tender it always brings a tear to my eye. Truly beautiful.💙🦋💙
Dreamboat Annie as well.
One of my favorite songs ❤
Love that song!!! I found that album when I was about 10 in my dad's collection fell in love with it and still hits to this day😊
The live version.
Absolutely that was an amazing performance.

Both Hearts and Plants voices are unique.
Yes, this was cowrote by Ann and Nancy Wilson... some of the best songwriters of their day.
“Magic Man” and “Alone” are two other great Heart songs definitely worth checking out
Finally someone who immediately understands what she's saying. Sometimes girls just want what they want, no shame no shade.
"Magic Man"
(My favorite! It's so sexy! 🔥)

By far the best female voice in rock music, possibly beast voice period.
Her voice....my God....so powerful, yet so feminine. I'm in love!
Van, you’ve got to watch live performances. You’ll LOVE watching Nancy “dance” with her guitar!
More Heart Please!
Tribute to Led Zeppelin- Stairway to Heaven

Heart did the best cover of Led Zeppelin's Rock & Roll I've ever heard.
Magic Man is a must !! Off the same album as Crazy On You ! AWESOME guitar and drum work !
Magic Man!!!
Never gets old this tune...Anne forever
I'm so GLAD you've found HEART! These wonderful performers are such marvelous performers, composers, and singers in their own rights, together they're MAGIC! Hit that Thang!!
Nancy’s voice is insane too. She was on Howard Stern just messing around and it was spine tingling. Not to mention her guitar is world class.
Heart at the Kennedy center Stairway to heaven
I love watching you react to videos. You are to funny and your facial expressions are great. Much love to you and your family.
You killed me on this one!!! I had your EXACT same reaction when I first heard those sensual, beautiful lyrics. LOL! They are so talented!!!
"Kick it out" is another great tune from the band.
I love Heart! And I loved your reaction!

Magic Man is my favorite Heart song.
There entire band was elite. The drummer and lead guitarist especially.
Great singers, awesome band,
You should check out “Alone” by Heart. The singing in that song is breathtaking.
You picked the right one with "Crazy On You" but easily as good from the same album is "Magic Man"
Those vocals. She is so 😍 🔥
man you need to see a live version just for Nancy doing the intro and a leg kick
