I'm so glad you shared this. I was thinking about getting a Weeks for 2025 but I use fine nibs and the way you described the paper in yours has convinced me that I don't think I would like it.
I can’t deny I feel a little sad that you aren’t journaling/ using leather and fountain pens as much. I always loved that you inspired me to use them. I still love watching your handwriting! Beautiful new planner. Thanks for sharing!
I agree! My weeks for 2025 feels different! My nibs look so broad in comparison to this year’s notebook, but I love that tiny planner so much that I will stick to it, and hopefully for 2026 they figure something out.
Oh wow! this is interesting. I also use the weeks for journaling and I do write quite a bit, not much use for the calendars really. I'm glad I bought 2 for 2024 because i now have an extra one with the old paper.
I have used a Hobonichi weeks for the first time. I really like journaling in it. It I miss a day or don’t have much to say, I add a quote of somekind to the page.
I've used a weeks for several years now but felt like a change this year, so I got a Midori Kuroneko Diary. It has pretty much the same elements that I like but with cute cats. ;)
I wanted to try a hobonichi so bad this year but the shipping costs to brazil are absurd 😭 so i went with the Kinbor, which is as cheaper dupe and I'm really satisfied with it! Its exactly like the hobonichi, except the quotes from the hobonichi (that i hate!) and for the price that I would pay for a original techo a5 and shipping I got a a6 (for daily journaling) + cloth cover and a5 (for work notes) + plastic cover
I always use a piece of blotter paper as a bookmark with my journals and writing notebooks. I like the ones made by J. Herbin. You might even try the piece of leather that comes with Galen products, though it night be hard to trim to the right size. Hope that helps the ink-drying problem. 😊
I've been using an A6 Techo this year and will be using the same for next year. For me the A6 is a perfect combination of portability with just enough space each day to record my daily agenda plus some notes / thoughts for the day. I also have a B5 journal that I use for longer-form writing whenever I feeld the need. Love the Hobonichi.
I moved to A6 this year. I love the size. I got the Wonderland planners so there’s extra writing room with blank pages if i write more. They use the old TRP as well. It’s perfect.
It's just the techo in a weeks hard cover. I like having a weekly layout for a quick view, so I went with the Wonderland222 A6 this year. But I too have a weeks on call....lol
Rodeo break. Interesting. This makes me wonder how many of specific school breaks there are around the country. I say this because in Maine in Aroostook country (read: northern Maine) there’s a break for potato harvest. I think less kids participate than in the past but the break is still a going concern.
Kudos to you for experimenting a new thing. Such a petty thing but it takes some time to make a decision and have a go (from my experience 😅). Never know until we tried. I had a6 last year. It worked fine but I wanted more space. This year’s a5 Hon is great except its size. Cannot have it all. 😂 Which pain am I willing to endure? Come to think about it, I got sucked into Hobonichi world because of its fountain pen friendliness but I use the jetstream pen most of the times because of drying time.
Yup. Have tried multiple other brands over the years, including ring binder type and blank notebooks. All have pros and cons. It’s a matter of preference at the time. 😊
I always find it surprising how many people don’t remove the barcode sticker from the muji pens. It’s like buying clothes and just leaving the tags on. 😅
HON in japanese literally means Book so you can use voice feat in Google translate and listen how they say it 😊 (to me it sounded bit like something between "hun" - hun from honey - and with a like in "ham", and bit of "hum")😅
@@TheTeddytumtum This one is the Hon, it’s got the hard cover. I like the external cover though because it holds my pen and papers, receipts, sticky notes, etc that I end up collecting over the year. 🙂
Glad to hear Bean is doing well post surgery and hope he continues to heal. 🩷 I love the A6 size but went with a Weeks again for 2025- as my main planner and an A5 HON (the rainbow one) as a memory keeper.
And what’s happened?! No leather cover…..no fountain pens…….who is this?!😂

I saw Perlman many, many years ago. I'm not a violinist, but still, a huge fan. Incredible experience, and I even have his autograph somewhere :-)

I bought a sheet of A3 blotting paper and cut it to suit the many sizes of note books. And it is inexpensive.
I decided on the Hon (A6) for my minimal daily highlights bedtime journaling. I still use the Weeks for other planning and notes.
I used a HON A6 last year vs the Cousin A5 in previous years and love it! I'm setting up my new 2025 HON A6 as I watch this :) Enjoy!

I don't know that I could journal in that space. Have been doing 3 pages in a Midori A5 for a long time.

Have you considered B6 (size between A6 and A5) from a different brand?

I just bought 3 new Muji pens today. And 2 notebooks. (One can never have too many, you know). I’ll make a point of taking the labels off.❤️🇨🇦
Sometimes a pen can look better with the barcode sticker 😊
i didn’t liked to remove mine because the place where the stickers sat on is still super sticky it annoys me
I leave mine on to distinguish between the old ones (that no longer write as thin or was poor quality) from the new ones that write well.
@@misisDK yeah that is annoying!

I don't like the new paper. :(. Some of my fountain pens don't write well on it. They all wrote amazingly on the old paper. :(
Me too. Wonderland 222 have almost all their 2025 planners in the old TRP. Except for B5 i believe. I’ve got a bunch of them. Worth it.
@ thanks for the tip!💕
It’s not the hon. The hon has a hard cover, lovely choices so you don’t need a cover that makes it bigger.

Oh that’s funny, we kind of flipped roles this coming year! :D
