- In this episode of Diggin’ In the tapes we roll back to 2006 when I decided to build a Model A coupe that later became “Live Wire”. The idea was to build a 1958 period correct show car with the help of my talented friends and make a documentary style film about it. Since I was between MFS Vol 5 and 6 I decided to do a special DVD called “MFS 5.5 The Live Wire Chronicles” that followed along with the build much like we are doing with “Car That Ate My Brain 2” building Tweedy Pie. In this first episode I give a little history of what I collected and had a frame built by @bobbleed so Bob and Johnny flew out to help make the car a roller. This is the first of many episodes so stay tuned for more and please Like, Share and most important Subscribe! Enjoy!

I hope some young folks out there are getting to these videos and getting inspired to build some good ol' hot rods and customs. Something about your videos, every time I sit down and watch one I want to try and ruin my life with another project LOL
Exactly... hotrods are a dyeing breed. The garage builds by a group of buddies is so important for the future.
Never got to see this when it came out and am so grateful to be watching it now! Just plain gorgeous stuff! Seeing all of you young gun legends thrashing is humbling! Thank you Piero! Go Mad Fabricators, keep moving forward and sharing!
Loving these ‘Diggin’ In The Tapes’!!! Thanks so much! The MFS dvd’s have always been great inspiration. I too, certainly hope some younger folks are digging these! Dude…the best!!✌️
Hi piero. I hope you are getting stronger every day. You don’t realise how much I look forwards to your content. The memory’s come flooding back. Take care and best wishes to you and your family and friends. Tim.
Lovin' these old tapes, really the heart and soul of home built hot rods. Thanks for sharing Piero!
One of my favorite A coupes - looking forward to following along

As always, I really enjoyed this video. I could easily get lost for days watchging your stuff, but then I wouldn't get anything done on my roadster. KEEP EM COMING! I can't believe you don't have several hundred thousand subscribers.
Very nice. Enjoyed the video
I watched the original Live Wire DVD dozens of times as I was dreaming of one day building a hot-rod of my own. Thanks for finally digitizing the vids!
Funny and awesome to see the evolution of not only the car but you as a film maker, funny and awesome bunch of guys too!
Very cool!!! 🤜🤛
Live wire is still one of the best looking Hot rods in my mind. I’m building somewhat similar Model A Coupe right now. 👍
Right on! Thanks! I miss that car.. someday it will be mine again :)
Good luck on yours! Love to see pics.. DM me on IG
Great build tape! I don't have cool friends like that so I'm on my own. 😏
Awesome
Bob bleed invented that word?👌🤣
Coupe looks good, I dig the period components. Save your tears bro., Plenty of time for that later, when the SHTF, and it will. Trust me,,,Love,,,,DUBS,,,,,
Haha my tears have been dry for a long time.. now if I can just get Tweedy Pie done I’ll be a happy camper!
Great vids, keep them coming,
How’s trweety coming along
Live Wire is beatifull machine.
Happy the MFS is still alive & well. Will there ever be an opportunity to replace my thread-bare and weld-splatter-holed MFS t-shirt? Merchandise please.
Loving it!
Awesome episode buddy
Thanks 👊🏼
Factory valve covers on that caddy? Ive got a bored out 331 with isky adjustable rockers and I need a set that clears.
Yeah I found them a long time are and they were done in the 60’s it had hammer marks on the back of them.. whoever did it did a good job.. chromer did a nice job too :) I’ve heard stories from old timers that used spoons to make knuckles do valve covers to clear..
@MADFABRICATORSTV Right on man, hammer and die it is! Thanks!
