I am also curious about the resorts name. This day was absolutely magic! In my five years in rsa I was lucky to visit krüger and etosha national parks 5 times and I was not as lucky to see so many amazing animals in one day! A day you will never forget! 🤩

Great sense of humor that he was probably not feeling well enough to bother with before! And That Smile!!! So Glad he feels better! Just like a man of years gone by, to suffer in silence, nobody knew he was in pain! Nothing like men today, who whine about the flu!😢
I do not know if I'll ever have the opportunity to visit a safari so thank you for taking us along with you and showing us what it would feel like. Looks absolutely beautiful.

I have been several times but this, this was extraordinary ! Very rare to see all of these animals in one visit let alone this close up!
I do remember one day we pulled over the car & sat joyfully in the drizzle for 30 minutes watching a dung beetle push his poo across the road!
It is so cheap for overseas people here in South Africa. One can sldo ho on early morning and late afternoon safaris as day giditors - you don't have to book in for accommodation - will obviously pay for the safari trip. Sooo many game lodges all over South Africa.

I immediately recognized that beaded collar that you chose as your piece to take home this year, Stephanie. That's a wedding collar! How appropriate! I once had the pleasure of working in a high end(ish?) picture framing store/art gallery in the historic downtown in Savannah, Ga. We framed pieces for the local art museum and the historic societies, as well as many of the wealthier families who had lived in Savannah for ages. One comfortably well off world traveler came in to have a nearly identical beaded collar framed. He had purchased it in a small village in Africa. He told the owner of the shop to not allow the picture framers to clean the item before placing it in a shadowbox frame. What appeared to us to be dried mud and bits of bark encrusting the colorful beads was actually a mixture of all sorts of substances, including cow dung, that was part of the village's wedding traditions to anoint the hair and neck of the bride who had worn the collar. The collector did not want the collar to look like a museum piece. He wanted to be able to recall the authentic purpose of the item and keep it in the state and condition in which he had received it, out of respect for the culture of the people who had created and worn it. Truly fascinating.

What an amazing life you all get to lead. Some of us live in the same place we grew up in and never get to go very far from home. It's still a good life but when you are very poor it just gets tiring trying to get by and survive. I feel more like one of the animals in the preserve trying to survive than I do those who are watching.

I have watched a few peoples safari videos. This safari resort is by far one of the best. You are able to get so close to the animals. Surely because they have become accustomed to people staring at them but still very epic encounters
The animals get used to the vehicles, and see as no threat. If you got out of the vehicle while they are close, that's a different matter!

What a privilege to be so close to those beautiful animals
As a biologist from Australia who has not had the opportunity to visit South Africa yet, this actually brought a little tear to my eyes. Yes, I've seen many docco's and many of these animals in various zoos, but this was something special. From the big cats to the dung beetle, thank you!

The safari outings were fantastic as you got to see so many wild animals. The baby deer, warthog, hyena were so adorable. So blessed to see the cheetah up close and rhino. The lodge is simply amazing.💚🦁🦓🦌🐆🐗🐘

Last time I went on safari, the ranger asked us what we are looking forward to seeing. I asked if we might see a pangolin. He said no, he had only seen a pangolin twice in his years of being a ranger.

Thank you, Stephanie and Philip, for sharing your honeymoon safari with us. These scenes are something I would never have witnessed except for you. It was also wonderful to see Percy and Isabel dancing!! It's heartening to see how well he is doing and how happy she is. It amazes me that no matter the size of the "cat", they all move the same way!! Some of the animals were frightening, especially the lions, hippos and hyaenas, but interesting, nonetheless.

Lions and tigers and bears, Oh my! I don't know about an X-rating, it seemed more like PG-13 or perhaps a soft R rating. It was a wonderful safari sighting which ever way you choose. What good fortune.
The sun downers really complete the excursions. Your guides are fantastic hosts.

I was in South Africa in the 1990s and we went to Phalaborwa Safari Resort in Kruger National Park for our safari and it was amazing. Really enjoyed revisiting South Africa through your videos.
