I came here to rip this video apart, since I played barbs since beta and most guides get it wrong. You nailed it dude, sub from me for sure and yes, im subbed to rob and all the other godly streamers who dont give the time of day to explain as much as this man does. respect
Good comment and great help guide, I struggled as I kept going for overpower damage only 😢 made some big mistakes, did some farming and changed some aspects around, much better build now, thanks for the info!
Been playing arpgs for a while, this is the best class overview vid I've seen -- well structured, plain language, succinct, no guff. I have 3 s2 100s and thanks to you, barb's next.
I've been enjoying seeing your growth as a content creator. I've been watching you since early darktide. Keep it up man, I'm excited to see you crush the season 3 race.
As a new barb player (last one I played was mp10 in diablo 3 to give context), this confused me for a while. Thank you for your detail and easy to understand explanation. Much appreciated
I try to max my elemental resistances as much as possible when running nightmare dungeons, unfortunately sometimes it's not easy to have them all capped (especially while leveling and changing gear a lot). I find that running a Elixir of Magic Resist is a good call when I have an "Elite's always have an ---- affix" when I have a deficiency of that particular elemental resistance. Sure it trades of offensive potion use but I find its a good trade off for survive-ability.
There are procedures like stomp, that procs earthquake and dustwind giving you defense, sistance attack from dustwind gylph (that boosts your other elite paragons), and resets leap.
Quick question, I'm currently using your HOTA Gigaclap build as it's called and you say in the build If you don't have Tibualt's Will, take stats as recommended in the gear sheet and use the aspect of Audacity. The thing is the Audacity aspect cannot be put on legs. It works on boots, amulets, gloves, chest, helm and shield. Atleast that's what it says when i try to use the one i extracted. Any other aspect we should use on legs instead? Thanks in advance. Love the build guides =) Edit: I realized now that i'll just put disobedience on legs and Audacity on chest. Perhaps change that in the build guide so slow people like myself wont make comments like this ;D
Do you like the new red furor unique ring for your HOTA build? I'm finding it hard to sustain fury without the unrelenting fury aspect on one of my rings.
Yeah you missed out on which vampiric powers are the best, what aspect and where you recommend them, and generally what are the best stats to get on each piece of gear (you thought on it already but you could summarize it in separate point)
Any recommendation about what stats to look for on arsenal weapons u re not actively using? Are they all getting into effect as a kind of passive stat or do not all of them give u useful bonuses when not using the wpn. E.g. +to all stats seems to work... any mire insights on this?
How much Fortify generation do we find enough? I find myself relying heavily on Fortify, either to stay alive and gain bonus damage. I found it easy to keep the Fortify generation around 80 before the resistances got fixed, but now I'm hungry for extra resistance instead
Isn’t additive damage better than multiplicative? For example, 2 +50% damage adds up to +100%. Wethers 2 x50% damage multiplies out to +75% damage. That’s what I’ve always been led to believe in these calculations, additive is always better than multiplicative.
Does anyone notice that rare nodes are not giving the bonuses associated with them even when you meet the requirements. I can't seem to find anyone talking about this
does it makes sense to have higher amount of Armor than u advice? currently I have prox 37k of Armor but still being killed pretty easy even with full stack of resistance. what would ur advice, thx!
Im here because I just tried to start a barb in s2. It doesn't explain weapon switching, fortify, or how the hell berzerking is active or works or why. Its my 4th character but the in game doesn't tell you S#/÷
the common thing about all the million videos I've seen is that everyone talks like good stuff is available to anyone. Maybe it is, and only I don't know where to find the right pieces of armor, the right jewels, etc. In that case, would you please kind enough to explain? cause all I got from hours of play is crappy armors, crappy weapons, crappy jewels. is there a way you can actually make them? Occultist can only change one of the incantation for single piece, that is on PS5. I hope you will help me.
I kinda feel that overpower should be avoided though as there isn't enough opportunities to proc it with a barb? I've been playing pulv drood and the overpower procs are frequent which makes it extremely strong, does that eventally apply to HOTA also? Good content as usual, cheers
Correct, overpower doesn't proc enough to be worth an affix spot on your weapons. It is for streamer click bait screenshots with big numbers, but actually hurts overall DPS for NMs.
@@allstateavatar6637 blood boil every 20 seconds, the paragon node every 12, earth strikers every 8 weapon swaps and duriels amulet every 300 fury how is that not enough lol? I’ve been playing Barb since s0 this is the best Barb has felt upheaval and hota are two of the strongest builds in the game and overpower damage is insane. I’ve beaten every boss including Lilith by level 80-85 pretty easily. Read any guide online written by math nerds and they will say the same thing.
Still trying to get my first HC character to 100 without dying and I'm wondering, what was your strategy for the gap at lvl 50? My gear and HotA build was solid in the T2 Captsone, but then in T3 the Blood and Helltide mobs are 55 (yet in T1/2 they won't scale above 50) so I'm tiptoeing on eggshells trying not to die in T3 since I haven't rolled any solid sacred pieces yet. Any tips? So far I'm been farming Blood Keys on T1, and then cashing them in on T3 for sacreds but not seeming to have any luck. Thanks!
Can someone explain why going with 2H axe technique, which grants you additional vul dmg is good when now the damage bucket calculation is different? The Vul dmg is going into additive bucket right? So why is it so good that you have to always take it in most scenario?
I believe the technique bonus is multiplicative, unlike rolled affixes on items which are now additive. I might be wrong, but the technique says 15(x) increase
I'm a WW Barb and hardly see 100k dmg. max I've seen is like 150k and it's so frustrating. I'm using uniques for helm, chest, gloves, boots, rings, and amulet.
Check ROB’s Hota builds, I am lvl80 and my max OP Crit is is 45mil, but on average I see 10-20mil OP crits. I use the starter version of the hota build

I'm going to start a Barb for season 2. This was a very helpful video. This will help me get off the ground

All that background thorns gameplay is S tier! Awesome stuff buddy
This is my first video that gear 4 Luffy on the background is so beautiful
Minor mistake around the 3:20 mark, HotA doesn’t use dual wield bludgeoning weapons, it uses your two-handed bludgeoning weapon
Always dropping the pro bulking tips for us - thanks pal!
Gaddddddaaaaamn
There are procedures like stomp, that procs earthquake and dustwind giving you defense, sistance attack from dustwind gylph (that boosts your other elite paragons), and resets leap.
Great video, coming to the realization that I may need a new pair of boots with resistances in order to fill my jewelry w armor.

Yup I kept that and got rid of bold chieftains
Very well explained!
Cleared up allot of questions I had
Thank you brother!
I'm always ready for a class from Professor Dalkora! *Takes out pen & notepad* lol Great video my dude🙏
I enjoy listening to your stream when I'm spinning with my whirlwind barbarian. Best class ih the game.
Such a great video, i learned a lot. Thx mate!
Can you make a more in-depth video on your 1 shot death blow build the planner is missing a bit of detail, great vid cheers mate.

Great Guide! But as I am running a Thorns/Frenzy Barb half of this doesn't apply to my current build. XD
This was a ridiculous good guide. Ty again
It just sucks gotta use all the damn shouts :(
This video helps a lot! Thank you so much for this video and your D4 content
I love your clear tutorials. Ty so much
The 8% from the might glyph and the 5% from the decimator node are also multiplicative right?

Well damage while berzerking is multiplicative it's the best stat for a barb

What is the best spec for an endgame Barb? Can you do a WW Barb and beat Duriel with it?
Monkey d luffy nice , and I have a question what build is good with doombringer sword barb
1:53 Why i have "When using Two-Handed Axe" on my Technique, no "ANY WEAPON"?
Is it just me or did this video not mention Berserking?

Can’t put Disobedience on my amulet and sacrifice my Banished Lords man, that’s mad.
yeah. barb has very good survivabilty. i killed uber duriel with lvl 60, in HC... the video is online.
Do you play anything else? Do you play Remnant?
Barb CEO delivering knowledge straight from Arreat
i have a dumb question....how do you get the circles on the ground at the mouse cursor to move so fast?....are you clicking that fast or what?
Bound force to move to scroll wheel
@Dalkora how do you get all your resi to capped at 70%?
Very good mate 🙌

With Glyphs, Aspects and Vampiric powers, you can get a lot of overpowers.

hey dalk, why dont you tell us to use shako and grandfather here?
is thaat sound proofing as decor?
Wow, dude knows the game like his life depends on it 😂
So, you are saying use the 2 handed axe buff EVEN IF you never actually use a 2 handed axe?
Yeh, technique is a global buff you don't need to actually use the weapon to benefit from it.
What about the new ring, red furior?

Go in the blood harvest area and use your keys. Try not to engage enemies until you get decent gear to keep you alive is what I did.
