DE continues to show that they, in fact, give a shit about their fan base by not only giving the reworked Caliban/frame slots for *free* with this update, but also 5 forma to use on existing Calibans and/or the reworked companions
One of my most favorite Warframe content creators out here, even though there are some minor mistakes with your warframe builds, but honestly i actually had fun using them all thanks to you. Dude even admitted his mistakes on his vids, which is a very rare thing for a famous person like you.
What makes me glad about this rework is that it sort of justifies as to why Caliban is a late game drop. I already enjoyed making him my main before the patch, all the more now after the rework. Not the most "meta" but I'm definitely a fan of casters, and very much fun to play.
I don't see it in the comments on your videos, but they have such high production value. I appreciate the clear work that goes into making the sausage.
Cool. Caliban's one of the frames that I was able to do OK with in steel path circuit before the rework, useing the basic DE duviri mod setup. I had him ranked up to 30, but hadn't applied any forma prior to that, as everyone had been saying "don't use caliban, because he sucks". I think they were wrong, and am looking forward to adding him to my list of more often used frames.
I’ve been playing for 3 days. I levelled starter Mag to 30, and then swapped straight to free Caliban. Rocking the starchart with my Opticor Vandal (reward from thermia fractures). Fun game.
I have wyrm with a magnetic heat vreglas. Negate is now affected by manifold bond and is quite nice at preventing toxic status. Add in the armor strip, tau status, damage vulnerability and viral (nourish over his 1), I’m the support for my companion :))
Im in mr 15, and o don't consider myself in the high end of the game, i don't have the best of the best set-up, but i can say something, you just can't die with caliban!
That effect where Nourish affects summons/pets/etc is actually a feature that's been there for a while. Iirc, using Nourish on Nekros will also give the effect to his Shadows, just as another example. Everything here's working as intended, and there's no bug. Enjoy!
Roar actually does the same thing, and will double dip the conculyst slash dmg, cobine that with a primer like hound and you got a good summoner build.
Something that you didnt mention about sentient wrath is that not only does the damage vulnerability apply to CC immune targets (e.g., overguard, acolytes, angels), but if you break overguard while they're affected by the debuff, they will be lifted. Also, as an addendum to your statement about how good fusion strike as a defense strip is, the lingering strip area cannot be purged by demolysts and nullifiers.

I like using the Parvos Hounds with him. They can all double up on the cloning, so you can have 6 hounds on board instead of four, as you get three clones with suplex bond, and your main one splits into three little clones with the diversify precept. While it can't proc other precept abilities while it's split up, they can still spread around lots of cold procs and other status effects for you, and they distract the enemy from you. Vaguely related to the "Nourish over Sentient Wrath" thing. Hoping Caliban gets an augment on Sentient Wrath that lets you put tau damage on your weapons.

caliban sounds exactly like the warframe I want to main now, it's a really good kit for supporting others with crowd control and armor stripping so it's a must have frame for 4 player teams
Agreed, he's super cool :D I don't think they'll add such a Shard though. Void and Tau are too "exclusive" from a Lore standpoint I think but who knows? ;)
Vauban is insanely good, wdym? Every warframe does not need to be top tier at every piece of content. He's meant for defense, survivals, etc. Defending an area. That's his whole kit. You can casually do 500+ with little to no effort on vauban.
Two thoughts about his 1: 1) Its really fun as a movement tool when combined with aim gliding imo, ive been using it to get around the new Shrine Defense because becoming an attack helicopter is fun, just bullet jump in the air and beyblade away. Aim gliding also works with his 4 to keep him in midair when you cast it, idk if its useful but it feels more fun to rain hell onto enemies ngl 2) with Nourish on the 2, does it give back more energy per enemy hit? Does Nidus' 1 work like that too? Im gonna check when im home this evening, maybe ill edit this once i find out.
"Best defense reduction in the game" is a wild statement. I'm not disagreeing, just wasn't expecting that assessment. Has something happened to Xaku in the 6 month break I took? I thought he had insane range and near-permanent uptime on armor strip in his zone?
I'd definitely say Xaku is an extremely, extremely close second, and in some cases probably better, but with the massive AoE armor strip created by Caliban's 4 mixed with duration, you basically have a 'press and forget' armor strip every minute. Honestly they both do just about the same thing, and it'd probably just come down to what warframe the player prefers.
When you have a full Armor Strip like with Caliban here, then the advantage of the Glaive (that being Slash bypassing armor) is worthless and the Xoris just has the higher base DMG ;) If the targets are armored though, Glaive all the way ;)
Xoris has forced electric on heavy attack. we can use melee influence on it without modding for electric and electric status effect, just like gas, has quadratic scaling. so more enemy = more damage. also its a free weapon.
META is just an acronym for “most effective tactics available” so basically overpowered in that area, for example Nekros and Khora are meta farming frames. You can farm without them but it's more efficient to use them. hope this helps :)
@drpeganixgaming3106 I personally didn't have a problem farming him. It's a bit of a grind fest, but not as bad as other frames (ex: Nidus, Protea, Equinox, etc.). Problem is that the warden (Ballas counterpart) only spawns during the Anger, Fear and Sorrow spirals.
Great vid, even though weapons are optional. I’m using T-Glaxion(cold, magnetic and gas) and K-Nukor(heat, magnetic with viral). Then the Xoris with corrosive and blast). Also Even with the sky high grouping, I think Nautilus/Verglas(with magnetic and gas) are is still tops. Only because you don’t need invisibility and Diriga clones can not use its abilities with duplex bond. I am curious how a hound would do with Caliban(a throwback to the X-Men 😂).
How do you use your Caliban?
summon minions and runaway
summon minions and afk

I don't think they'll add such a Shard though. Void and Tau are too "exclusive" from a Lore standpoint I think but who knows? ;)
@@MHBlacky_ENG also can we get a hilydren build too
Vauban mains when Caliban Rework: :'D
Vauban doesn't need a rework. His kit is perfectly fine for what he's made to do as is.
Vauban is insanely good, wdym? Every warframe does not need to be top tier at every piece of content. He's meant for defense, survivals, etc. Defending an area. That's his whole kit. You can casually do 500+ with little to no effort on vauban.
Now, can Caliban also get a well-deserved pair of shoes? *Please?*
That's... a good point xD
Two thoughts about his 1:
1) Its really fun as a movement tool when combined with aim gliding imo, ive been using it to get around the new Shrine Defense because becoming an attack helicopter is fun, just bullet jump in the air and beyblade away. Aim gliding also works with his 4 to keep him in midair when you cast it, idk if its useful but it feels more fun to rain hell onto enemies ngl
2) with Nourish on the 2, does it give back more energy per enemy hit? Does Nidus' 1 work like that too? Im gonna check when im home this evening, maybe ill edit this once i find out.
I wonder if Caliban is really good at the splits and limbo, not the Warframe but the game with the bar
Gotta love it when warframes are getting reworked. Don’t have enough slots or reactors tho
Free caliban just got handed out, and he comes with a free reactor. Just log in.
Just log in the game you well get it for free with free potato
He free just login, he comes with a reactor already.
I was thinking of a shock trooper build with Caliban, do you think something like that could work? Maybe with violet shards as well
I think adding Electricity is surely an option but I'm not sure if Shock Trooper works on the summons. If yes then this could be awesome :D
@@MHBlacky_ENG Just tested it, doesn't work :( thought it might've worked since it works on inaro's sand cats
okok de can we get broken war and war reworked to do tau like caliban can now .............. cause i mean ............ yes
oh yeah, a cool passive like with jade and her weapons. he should have little synergies with all sentient weapons we get
combat dicipline +archon intensify are great on him
The Nourish interaction is not new. It used to be the only way to make him any good.
I wish there would been a augment so I can use 1 of each sentient at the same time
"Best defense reduction in the game" is a wild statement.
The problem with xaku's defense strip is that it forces you to camp
Unrelated but I saw that you use xoris in the video, is there a reason you prefer it over glaive prime?
Doesn’t cost 1 billion plat
Melee influence makes it way better than glaive prime, since caliban strips armor
When you have a full Armor Strip like with Caliban here, then the advantage of the Glaive (that being Slash bypassing armor) is worthless and the Xoris just has the higher base DMG ;)
If the targets are armored though, Glaive all the way ;)
Xoris has forced electric on heavy attack. we can use melee influence on it without modding for electric and electric status effect, just like gas, has quadratic scaling. so more enemy = more damage. also its a free weapon.
@@kartikpintu with the new Galvanize mods i get that constant 6x lol
I'm a returning player: what does meta mean here? I keep seeing it
META is just an acronym for “most effective tactics available” so basically overpowered in that area, for example Nekros and Khora are meta farming frames. You can farm without them but it's more efficient to use them.
hope this helps :)
most effective tactics available
@@dmitrisaranciuc5794 thank you
I have been waiting
I have been cooking ;)
wait, the purple ones do damage? I thought they were just for distracting enemies lol
since getting Caliban for free I have found myself only using it as you can summon backup and I seem to die less then when I use hunhow
That's true. Caliban is really survivable :D
I m smiling since so many year.... The realS metaS are secrets
The brainrot I need is warframe gameplay with redcrits
Then may I suggest Kullervo? :P
@@MHBlacky_ENG he's a pain in the ### to farm due to the low spawn rates of Ballas in duviri
