What an amazing final battle! Until the Hydra arrived you were making the destruction of Scouts and Interceptors look as easy as shooting fish in a barrel. But that Hydra was hard core. Subbed! - o7 CMDR

This video deserves so many more views, felt like a movie watching this. Pilot skills are fucking insane no other way for me to even say that..i havent played much of the game so dont really know whats going on but at certain times you were like disabling that big ship at the end and just disrespectfully restarting your whole systems right in front of its face looking it dead in the eyes i mean that was cold 10/10

This game sound design is stunning !
Elite definitely has one of the best sound designs out there, but what you're hearing here is a bug which affected Gauss cannons a while back. It produced this terrible stuttering noise when you fire multiple cannons at once, however, it has since been fixed!

fyi i play war thunder and landing gear turning effects the plane alot, but idk how it effects in elite dangerous since it's in space, would like some theory or explanation if you don't mind sharing with me :)

Watched the whole hydra fight while playing the song "Hrimfaxi" (30 minute extention) from Ace Combat 5 playing in the background. At 30:06, the second you started turning the ship to face the hydra, i hit 1:41 in my song and it fit so perfectly.

O.O Holy convergence! It's time to unlock some small Gauss, this is genuinely hands down the best AX Fight I think I'll ever see, and I like to think I learned loads! Absolutely bossed it!! Honestly though..how stressful were those last 5 minutes?!

The last 5 minutes? That lightning at 49:30 nearly ended me at my moment of victory, I wasn't happy about it for sure :D
I've since perfected the strategy however, this technique is a bit outdated

Sweet I'm going to check that out next! Yeah the panic of getting such a bad lightning attack so close to the end would have absolutely unravelled me! I'm currently out getting my size 1 Gauss, gotta start practicing if I'm to have any hope at such insane accuracy! Are you using HOTAS or Mouse and Keys? Looking forward to your eventual takedown of a Thargoid Hive Ship and/or the extinction of their entire race!

It's the federal corvette. Just mind that it requires you grind federation navy ranks which is a whole other monster in and of itself.

How did you get such good heat efficiency firing the gausses?
The Corvette has naturally high heat capacity, and a huge weapon focused distributor really helps :)

I also did not know that, I just thought it increased capacity and recharge, nothing else. Thanks. :)

nice battle but if there is one thing I would have liked to have seen is when you were repairing and deconing your ship with limpets, it would be nice to see it done in 3rd person

I've been playing this game on Xbox since early access and I've got about 3 PvP kills in total........I haven't even attempted to engage a Thargoid, much less a whole squadron, bravo, I've a fully kitted out Anaconda as well, which ship works best for Xeno combat?, are there any good build guides?
Another epic battle! Amazing! And rather close at the end! Btw, did you not use limpets near the end because you were regularly taking damage then? (as far as I could tell you had 39 left, right?)
I would have to rewatch it to see why I did that :) I tend to use them whenever possible now, this was one of my first fights including limpets on vette
Wish I could handle the controls in this game. They're just too overblown. Based in the Combat Demo 1.00 anyway. You can't play this without a flight stick...
I use keyboard + mouse :) No need for a stick. And many controls mean you have better control of your ship once you master them. Flying becomes second nature eventually

How you avoid overheating? Don't seen that you used heatsinks much.

I think so
They are weakspots, once the thargoid is weakened the hearts all glow red, at which point you're actually able to snipe them off.
What are you playing with for controls?
Is the Gauss cannon a Guardian technology?
Yep. And it's the only guardian weapon that's actually worth unlocking

Where are these ax conflict zones and do they pop up the same way faction conflict zones do?
There haven't been any for a very long time unfortunately, and that's not likely to change. Used to be the Thargoids invaded systems in the bubble every week, and when they did these zones would appear. When the invasion stopped over a year ago, so did the AX Conflict Zones for the most part.
Not sure how long ago they came back, but there are some in the game right now

Are the Garden weapons only good for Thargoid hunting?
The guardian weapons yeah. Engineered human weapons are better against humans

I am the only one to ever do it with XB controller afaik, cutter. It was ridiculous, took almost 6 hours for the whole zone + Hydra.

@@Krystalmyth PCs aren't always crazy expensive, but yeah you could say. Especially since GPUs are insanely priced nowadays and this game benefits heavily from VR usage.
