We appreciate your business!
I have owned this time piece since 2019, and it has been my main everyday wear watch, great for work and sports. Hard as nails, super precise and reliable. The weight is amazingly light. The most worn watch of my collection. Highly recomended.
No doubt about this watch being super reliable.
How about scratches on titanium? are they visible? or perhaps in the polished surfaces?
@@Megajav14 No Scratches on mine at all, used daily, motorcycling, swimming, hiking, remarkable !
@@Megajav14 just a couple on mine, just a deep one in the clasp and a dent from one time I dropped it by mistake.
@@rsagape7300 thank you for taking the time, now I am sure i will grab one
I have this watch, my 3rd Eco-Drive Citizen. As an ex watchmaker I appreciate the accurate trouble free watch and quality.
Hi Edward, It's good to know watchmakers actually don't mind these. I appreciate a watch for the sum of what it serves the owner in everyday life and even with a 'smartass' phone in wouldn't be caught without a beater on my wrist being an Aussie kid of the the late 60's/70's. I have a Seiko 68 SPB207J reissue as an every day wearer, just for the memories of my first Seiko but will be getting the Citizen Diver 0200 T for my sons 21st now that the price is keen here in Australia at AU$500.00. All the best to the masters of time and their craft. Cheer Johno :)
Just received this as a graduation gift - it is my first watch. I absolutely love it. It goes well with any attire - from dress clothes to shorts and a t shirt.
This is actually my new grail watch. I wanted a Rolex Submariner, but this is a perfect alternative in my opinion. I wear a Casio Duro Batman more than anything.
I very much like this. Citizen doesn't get enough recognition. I don't care for their cheap entry level watches but this is on point.
Just got one and it’s perfect. I really didn’t think it was possible for a diver to be this lightweight and comfortable. There is nothing flashy about it, just the right balance of sporty and cool.
I've had this one for about 2 years and it's been great. Great lume, keeps perfect time, holds up to heavy watersports as well as being light enough for anything active.
at any moment, i feel that Teddy is going to read us the news. And you know what, i'd watch.
Even if it was bad news it would still seem comforting and positive.
Pun intended?
Bought this watch as gift for my father-in-law. He likes it very much. And by the way the second hand is perfectly aligned on it.
I bought the blue one with the yellow second hand and Im so happy with it, I banged it hard on a metal door right on the 9 o'clock bezel to the point I thought it was going it shatter, NOTHING, just a small scratch and the bezel didnt work properly for a week, then it fixed itself, such a strong hard timepiece, pretty much indestructible
Just bought it. There are all kinds of enthusiasts tastes and I'd define mine as the practical enthusiast. If the watch has cool features, is reliable and fair price I'll go with it. I'm new on this world and have a classic DW5600 G-Shock, a Mudaste GG-B100 and now this Citizen Promaster Titanium...
I have this particular one and the blue dial version as well. They are very light and comfortable. Good lume that lasts all night.
I own 2 Citizen Eco Drive watches. I love them. I wonder if there is some way Citizen can make an Eco Drive with a sweeping seconds hand. I like that look.
@Loose Unit, I believe that Citizen own Bulova. They produce the Lunar Pilot which has a 262khz high frequency quartz movement which results in a sweep second hand. It would be cool to see that in high end Citizens.
@@steveb4012 imagine a solar quartz with sweeping seconds
@@mistermood4164 That would be brilliant. I hear the Lunar Pilot's battery life is shorter because of the 262khz movement, here in the UK battery replacement is around £40. I wonder if the solar charging can't keep up with the demands of the high frequency movement?
@@steveb4012 they're are new high efficiency solar panels used in the energy business that achieve efficiency rate north of 40% (average panels yield 15%) maybe if citizen were to incorporate those newer designed panels into a watch movement we could get a solar sweeping second hands
@@mistermood4164 There's hope for us yet!😉👍
I have a Longines Hydroconquest, a Tudor BB58, a seiko Samurai, and this exact one. If I’m ever gonna go diving, this Citizen will be the one I’m wearing😃
Is that because you trust the Citizen more than the others, or because you would care less if you damaged or lost it?
@@silentstormstudios probably a mix of both, but many professional divers use citizen, as they have ISO certification on their dive watches (as Teddy mentioned in the video, just wanted to reiterate)
I have this one, bezel popped off day 1 and I lose the spring. Then I visited Citizen India headquarters, they did not have spare , so they stuck it hard. It is still like that. I am using it since 2 years, seems to have gained a couple of mins. During pandemic, I locked it up in my wardrobe and was out of town for 5 months and when I came back, it was perfectly ticking.
But apart from that good watch, only wish it was smaller.
I already have two divers, one being the heavy red bezel aqualand diver, I must resist not getting another one, I don't even dive. This one is so tempting because its so easy to wear and on the eyes. This is definitely another good pick from Teddy. If I didn't just buy myself an Orient Kamasu which has similar looks, this one would have been an easy purchase for me for its price.
I bought the Citizen Titanium, purely because of the weight. I am a Cellist and any other steel watches are too heavy. I was always taking my watch off and then forgetting to put it back on.
Now I don’t even notice it on my wrist.
Best thing I have done.
That’s an interesting idea. I play 5 string electric bass. Not that I play with my heaviest watch, but I might try playing with my lightest watch instead and see how that goes. I couldn’t play without a watch. All the best.
Double bass player here, and if I needed one more reason to buy something I don’t need, well you kinda gave the perfect one!
I think I’m gonna go for the automatic though, I have a very thin wrist…
Ciao!
I recently bought a Citizen BN0155-08E. It’s an eco-drive with a polyurethane strap that has a lot of holes in it. It happened to be my lightest watch (and not that big) with incredible lume. I recently played 3 Carols services, almost back to back (thanks Covid) with my Spector Euro 5 (35” scale, neck through) and I really appreciated the watch’s lightness and comfort. I had some big excursions and nimble bass lines to play and it REALLY helped. And the lume was so useful. For me, it’s a no brainer now to wear a light watch for playing!
Do you have a small scale that you can use to weight the watch? (if you do, please weigh it with the bracelet, and let us know what wrist size the bracelet is adjusted to). I can't find the weight anywhere online so far, which is crazy since you'd think Citizen would want to make it well known to market the titanium
@@JumpingWatermelons It’s 102 grams and my wrist size is 14cm.
Hope this helps. Thanks
at 1:23 show how nice that bracelet looks for specifically the watch, awesome piece, a must have for a daily use. Thanks.
Excellent review. Heaps of Information given together with professional filming and lighting make for an exceptional review. Well done and thanks.
Bought a citizen dive master in 2000 cost 600 odd dollars still have it to this day I did use it for diving and unlike the modern offerings it took a short while to get used to the weight of the beast :)
Quite like what they did with the date window, the half marker next to it integrates well with the rest of the dial.
I just bought mine earlier this afternoon. Thanks for the great review.
One of my favourite watches of all time. So flawed, and plain, but at the same time it has lots of character to me. I can’t explain exactly why, but I loved it. Bulletproof, and unique, with ridiculously good lume. Would probably still have been my main, but I had to let it go due to it simply being oversized for me. The Certina DS Action Diver Precidrive I replaced it with was a step up on dial quality, but felt soulless in comparison for some reason. And horrible lume in comparison too.
Just ordered one for Black Friday and can’t wait
The Promaster's are nice watches. Even the automatic version is very affordable.
You are always a pleasure to “ Watch” Teddy! Indeed the consummate professional. …Efficacy personified! Thank You!
Really love those promaster divers. The only thing that throws me off, is the fact that the date sits so deep inside the window, which makes it hard to read. Really a bummer in an otherwise great watch.
I think that has to do with the solar panel beneath the face. But yeah, it can be difficult to read.
@@bobsondugnutt7526 I thought that as well, it's the same with all the ecodrive models. Seems like a minor design flaw, but one that bugs nonetheless.
Just bought this today. Blue face, blue rubber strap. On sale for £147.
I’ve had a different eco-drive model for 15 plus years and it’s great. Wear it two or three times a month and the charge is good to go. One time I did let it run down and thought I’d killed it. I left it on a sunny (but cool) window sill for two days and found it running as good as new.
That said, the second hand alignment on this model is a complete deal breaker for me. It suggests a “good enough” approach to quality control and would drive me nuts.
Lastly, can we stop pretending that the “intended purpose” of a dive watch is for people to go diving? The intended purpose is to look good on someone’s wrist and bring joy to the owner. And, there’s not a darn thing wrong with that.
If this watch was 42mm, I would buy it Instantly!!!!!!
Got one a few days ago. Love the Eco Drive titanium!
I am wearing a white dial calibre 2100 and have a black dial as well as a grey dial titanium - all are over 20 years old and all world perfectly. I still enjoy my Rolex GMT and Submariner but for every day use I wear Citizen and will be getting this one as well!
For those wondering about weight: I found another review where it is weighed. Adjusted for his wrist (size=?) it was 96 grams
I put on an Oris Aquis on the other day, man I hope the Quality of this promaster can compare….
I just got this one as a work watch. Nice and lightweight, eco drive makes life easier, quartz accuracy is good enough.
Previously have used a gshock rangeman (too bulky, digs into my wrist as I move), citizen blue Angels chronograph, all metal, analog only (great watch but I constantly worried about dinging up the blue anodizing, a bit heavy for my physical work), and a long island islander (only real problem was the weight - have some nerve issues sometimes in my wrists)
I looked at this one a while back. The only issue I had was there was the lens isn't sapphire. I'm sure there are reasons for this as Seiko does the same thing on some of their divers. Maybe there is a higher chance of it shattering on impact underwater? I ended up with a Citizen sapphire lens that wasn't titanium. Someday I'll grab a Seiko diver that has a sapphire lens.
On higher end divers watches sapphire is the choice. My Citizen ltd edition titanium 300m divers watch is sapphire, it is superb! Previously I've had quartz and mechanical Omega Seamaster divers and this watch is superior to both!
Attainable and beautiful. I need this in my collection!
It would have been helpful to mention the weight, and compare it to the steel model, and let us know what the extra cost saves us in weight on the wrist. The current price, as well. Just sayin'.
Yes, it is super light weight, I have the Citizen Silicone Strap on one of mine ( I have Two.. ) and it is the most comfortable 'Dive Watch' I have owned including Rolex Submariner 16610 and Omega Seamaster. If you are wondering why I bought this, it is simple. Super value and looks good enough to be in very expensive company.
Beware of Citizen watches haters, they are paid to give bad impressions.
Citizen Promaster Diver Super Titanium BN020056E is an excellent watch. And it is all I'm looking for. And by the way I love Eco Drive
This is my latest, and I have to say the only thing I don't like is the tiny date window. The weight is unreal, especially for a bracelet, and the bezel action is just the nature of Ti. Great watch.
Dokładnie. Okienka daty mogło by nie być.
Really liking the look of the Tissot Chemin Des Tourelles line, especially the GMT. Wondering if you might do a review of these?
Killer watch! Checks all of the boxes for me. Looks good , I can wear it with jeans or a suit, tough and reliable. Great review!
06:05 Did you say it will last 4 years without the need of a battery replacement? I thought if it charges with light, you don't ever need a battery replacement! Maybe I'll google the specs..
Don't forget about the corrosion resistance of titanium a perfect metal if you live near the ocean.
I must have been lucky, as the second hand on mine his every marker 👏. like mine a lot, reliable rugged, a good tool watch , accurate ( of course) had it a few years now contemplating a 'seal replacement' service unsure if can be done at any outlet?, also unfortunately I scratched the clasp closure reaching under my car for dropped fob 😢, unsure of this is replaceable?
I have this watch. It’s pretty awesome. I recommend it.
I really wish they made it a little smaller!
Chronograph version would be an added benefit
Wow that things looks incredible
Bracelet is easy to adjust, with push pins?
I just got this beauty at a sale for about half the full retail price. I am liking it. Never been a fan of bracelets but I appreciate the lightweight titanium on this one. Will not be replacing the bracelet with a strap.
I'm told the crown on this one is a bit fiddly. I really like the bn0200-05 with orange face. I'm also looking at a promaster bn0159-15x stainless steel. The deciding factor for me is the resistance to scracthes and occasional bumps...movement is the same.
That must be a US market only model, I've never seen it before. Looks like Citizen learned something from Bulova.
Problem with citizen watches is the date windows are too small.
I just got the new Captain America Promaster super titanium and I can't believe how light it is for it's size.
Really surprised they didn't give this micro-adjustment clasp as they did on the Barnacle? Interesting.
I bought the automatic version and like it, but I find the lume on indexes weak and I whish it had a larger crown and stiffer rotating bezel.
What about accuracy of the automatic version please?
Teddy, hope you will review the Fugu models in the future.
Can you please do a review on the New 43 mm Hamilton Khaki Scuba Navy Scuba ?
How does this compare to the Citizen Titanium NY0100-50M?
can i ask where you got the blue oxford shirt? It looks super nice
4:48 7:06 夜光
Does anyone know if this has the hard coating on the titanium?
I wish Citizen offered more modest sized dive options with eco drive. The featured dive watch is great looking but too big at 44mm
I have worn my adidas titanium dive watch for twenty years, super light, never could go back to heavy steel…
"Not using a watch for it's intended purpose." Teddy nobody uses a dive watch anymore for it's intended purpose. Dive computers replaced down watches decades ago for intended purpose.
Looks good piece, I have one of 9051 movement Promaster Titanium Diver Watch✌️😆
Did I miss you mention the price point ?
Looks stunning, if only was made in 39mm as well
Totally agree. I have one and like it a lot, but the size is the only thing keeping me from wearing it as much as my 39mm divers.
Thanks, I gotta buy it now!
I just wish this had been a 41/42 mm watch.
Also the sunken date window looks a bit silly.
the video does not show, but live this watch has a matte texture which i like a lot
top top watch...period !!!!
What about glass ? Sapa ? Minela? That is the impor.. issue
Hey what about the crystal used??
Is it an aluminum bezel insert?
I have this watch. Great!
Teddy Baldassarre rulez.
Id like it better if the bezel didn't have bright pure white, printed lettering, but thats probably function and price over form. I think if the bezel were slightly nicer, it would work as well as dress watch and sport watch. Still looks appealing to me, and I haven't been a fan of citizen for over a decade.
The newest version of this design comes with day date and automatic movement with non hacking crown !!! But the rest is exactly the same design ... NY0070-83E
Teddy, hopefully you’ll be able to see this comment and maybe give me your opinion on this. Or, well, maybe some of the people in here can give some input on this. I just bought this exact same watch and went to the local Casio Store in my country. Casio Stores are the official retailers for Citizen over here, so I assume they know their stuff. I went to get links removed since these come with a LOT of links. The guy at the store took links off and made 2 micro adjustments and It’s still a bit loose, something I really don’t like. I’m pretty sure one less link will make it fit perfectly. He mentioned he wasn’t able to remove any more links since some of the links have arrows on them and the rest don’t and he had removed all of the “allowed” links for removal. When checking the bracelet, there’s still 1 arrow link on each side of the bracelet. Is he correct on this? I had the idea that links with arrows printed on them were technically removable. What’s your take on this matter. I ask since you do have this watch on sale and have reviewed it. Any help on this matter is much appreciated. Been learning a lot watching your content.
those last two links with the arrows are non-removable. I tried to and messed my band up.
Hi Teddy, I am trying to decide between this promaster one and the new citizen Forza chronograph. Which one would you choose? Thank you
Does this watch come with a blue dial too?
Great watch, but would it make it a deal breaker for not having sapphire crystal?
After you get hundred of micro scratches they all blend in ant you don't really notice, adds character 😅
Excelente video 😀.
why not sapphire when bj7110 is for same price??
Hey Teddy, have u seen/checked out the automatic version of this particular watch? Looks like a great option for its price (on the secondary market)
Is it good for 6.5 inches wrist?
I'm searching for the Blue version of this Watch....
does it have a diving extension?
I like everything about this one but the only factor that has been keeping me from actually getting it is the 44mm size. I have two 43mm eco drive watches and they are the absolute upper limit for my wrist
Just got one, it really does fit smaller than a 44mm case.
What’s the taper on that bracelet?
How about this one vs. Seiko SNE569 sir?
Just subbed got two of these and I absolutely love them and also one titanium and promaster models can't beat them for the price still saving for my my seamaster.
So ive been an eco drive owner for years. I got the garrison, because it was simple looking and went with most stuff i own.
Ive barely been thinking about getting additional citizens, and this one hit my radar simply because it looks like a Rolex Submariner to me. ... i dont know enough about watches though. Is this supposed to be an homage watch?
i love my ecodrive watch, i got it for christmas from my girlfriend its not this one its a chronograph with a mesh bracelet, the lume is the same color and when i go to bed at night i hold a flashlight over it for a few seconds so i can see what time i get up to piss at night
This or a 5KX?
What’s the difference between the BN0200-81e and BN0200-56e?
No difference actually
wassup teddy!!! 😎✌️
The best watch for the 💰🤑
There is something wrong with the filters on your site. If I select citizen and titanium, this doesn't come up
Sorry about that, should work now!
