This is one of the best and most unique yard tools I have ever reviewed. It transforms from a grass string trimmer to a edger and a lawn mower. It also has tons of adjustability so that you can be comfortable while you work. This thing is so convenient and easy to use - good work Worx GT Revolution :) Edger, trimmer, mower

Own this trimmer since 2018, its 2021 and I can gladly say it still works, same battery, its a great tool imo
it's a very versatile trimmer
As a non-mechanically inclined "older" woman, I thank you so much for this!! Knew how to do very little with my Worx before your video. Now I think I can do almost everything!! Some people do these videos without words! You are a pro!!!!! You're a lot better than the Worx videos!!
WOW - that means so much to me. You would be surprised how many comments that I receive that are not flattering ;). I'm going to share this kind comment with my mother!
i realize I'm kinda randomly asking but do anybody know of a good website to stream newly released tv shows online ?
@Bishop Soren I use flixzone. Just google for it =)
@Melvin Crosby Yea, have been using FlixZone for months myself =)
@Melvin Crosby Thank you, I went there and it seems like a nice service =) Appreciate it !!
2024 review. Holy smoley! 71 year old woman, arthritic thumbs and wrists. I LOVE THIS. So light ! Works excellent ! Big yard and garden so bought two batteries. Ergo handle was brilliant. Spools excellent idea. Love love love
I highly recommend this trimmer. The only drawback is that the battery can only last for about 20-30mnts work.
Appreciate this video. Got one of these in 2012 ( combo with a blower) and both are still working. After seeing this video, i think im ready this next generation. Hope they have the combo still.
This is the weekend to buy
I am so pleased with my WORX trimmer! I've been using it all summer long on very thick weeds and even small trees and have only had to extend line one time. It always does exactly what it needs to do.
That's so great to hear. I can't believe you only had to extend the line once. You must be using it really gently :)
I love mine too, and I've even begun using it for small commercial jobs and I find it cuts almost as good as the very good gas trimmers out there. But it outdoes them in portability, adjustability, maneuverability and a host of other things that make this little guy a true swiss army knife in the landscaping world. I call it the GT Swiss.
Worx also has 4 amp-hour and 6 amp-hour batteries that fit in the same slot as the 2 amp-hour battery. I have 4 of them and a double charger. I can complete my entire yard on one- 6 a-h battery using it on the line trimmer and leaf blower. But that requires moving along and not taking the grass down to the dirt. And one more feature, the Worx line trimmer line is grooved to create edges and fairly brittle to cut through the grass easier. For really tall/thick grass/weeds on my rural property I use my line power Black&Decker trimmer, but for moving quickly on my urban property yard, I use my Worx because I don't have the time it takes to wrestle with an extension cord. And I use my Worx leaf blower to blow the grass off my mower when I am finished in addition to blowing the sidewalk and driveway. I have used my line trimmer for 20 years and it still works like new. The only problem I have is swinging the head because organic material has dried in the mechanism and I have to put some muscle into it. Anyway, the new larger capacity batteries are great.
I had a model older than this one that I love. My sister has difficulty with tools that are too heavy and she actually loved mine and found it easy to use ruclips.net/user/postUgkx_rBCFuDW1zD6blTGhLkvAkxU657uR_lG . This is a newer model but was even lighter which she really appreciates. She enjoys it and I no longer have to go to her house to trim as she can handle it fine. Haven't used it enough to comment on the battery life but lithium batteries last longer than the old style. Being cordless makes it easy to trim the far edges of the property. The entire yard can be trimmed with one charged battery.
Thanks for the all great comments and stay safe and I love your video
You are the best
Best video on RUclips explaining how to use this tool some, of these people leaving bad reviews on these tools, are because of operators' errors.
True
I still have mine workx trimer and I got it over 9 years ago I love it never broke down !!!!
that's real longevity
Thank you Kite Army (Andrew). You just taught me how to use this machine! I am impressed as well and your tutorial was awesome! I too am a woman and have had this for over a year and could not get it to do what I needed because I did not know how to use it properly. Thanks again so much for taking the time to show me how to use it in terms I can understand. I have the older version and still was able to follow you. Going out to edge, mow and trim now....Thanks again
Always feels good to help someone!
Finally, a thorough breakdown, thank you! This is better than the damn infomercial
I always hoped that I would be better than the infomercial
I love WORX have used it for decades and you get free spools for life, less than $10 for shipping a six-pack. I am a female and it's so easy to us , it's like and easy to manage different positions. I recommend it!!
Thanks for the comment - others will find that info helpful
Thank you so much Andrew! I just got my GT Revolution today August 1, 2019, I was struggling how to put it together even the instruction was a little hard to understand, I had to toy with it until I finally got it together, I haven't used it yet. Thanks again for the video it's more detailed than the tv commercial.
Glad to have helped
I've had my GT for four seasons now. It does a phenomenal job. Just yesterday my neighbor came over and asked me about it. Said his gas trimmer was dying and wanted to replace it with an electric. He was especially impressed with the crispy edge lines I have in front of my house along the side walk.
I liked the brand so much I bought a turbine 600 corded leaf blower. That thing has an incredible amount of power for an electric, and at $60, the price was right on the money.
Cordless yard tools have come a long way - also this thing does make edging a dream
How are you twisting turning the head to convert it to an edger? Where does it rotate?
@@rcord12 the head is spring loaded. So you just pull the trimmer head away from the handle, twist it 90°, then the spring locks it back in place so you can do your edging. I've had mine for 9 years. It's been a wonderful tool.
Thank you, I had this for years and never knew all the great things I can do with it. Thanks for sharing.
cool - glad to help
Courtesy of this review I got one. Not disappointed. An excellent piece of kit.
Glad to hear
This video is actually better than the Worx video. I recently bought my trimmer and when I'm edging my yard, my handle is turned a different way. Can't seem to get it to position in front of me. Can you show a video on how to specifically change the wheels to edge. Do you have to turn the handle. It's just confusing to me.
give it a yank and turn
You made a great point in this video which is that people only get fixated on the power aspect of the tool. For me, after working for a long time on the lawn I often talk myself out of the trimming part of the job (rationalizing to myself that I'll do it tomorrow) due to fatigue (and dreading lugging the heavy, but powerful trimmer). This is the main reason why I just purchased the Worx. I'm looking for light-weight with easy and well thought-out features. I believe that the power will be sufficient to get the job done, and if I have some real tough stuff I''ll pull out the gas trimmer that I have. So hopefully I won't have to fib to myself as I can get the whole job done in the same day.
WOW, drummers too! Hope Andrew teaches me to MOW, now that I saw the other video to put it together...AND once YOU showed me and I felt comfortable, I went out to my little patio with weeds, some kind of tall TALL flower and I mowed that are in under 10 minutes ONLY because I went over it a 2nd time. THANK YOU ANDREW...I LOVE IT! Going to buy one for my brother for Christmas.
That is awesome!
One quick things to note is to keep your extra string cartridges in a cool area. We get temps in the 110's and my strings melted even the one on the weed hacker!
great suggestion - people don't know that string for trimmers can also get brittle if not stored in a climate controlled environement
Thank you for explaining this tool! I'm pretty new to gardening and even with the directions could not figure out how to adjust certain parts. Appreciate the help!!
Glad it was helpful!
Just got my new one today from Amazon. Was afraid to try to turn it down to use. Was real tight, didn't want to force it and break something. Then saw you flip it down, tried and though tight got it to work. Have BD and it is real heavy dragging the cord all around. Usually what Amazon recommends, amazing machine. 85 year old guy, you name it I got it. Ol Arthur, bad ticket, sugar. Take it day by day Best vid yet. Thanks. 🐻
Thanks mate - glad it was helpful
This was so helpful! I didn't realize there were 2 places to attach the wheels and in different directions. Thank you!!
I just bought it online before watching your video, but happy to say I am satisfied of my shopping after watching this.
It's a real do-it-all trimmer
I just bought a package deal on Prime day with Amazon. Trimmer/edger and blower with 2 batteries. Haven't used it yet but I'm excited to start doing my own lawn!❤
That is awesome!
I got the edge/ trimmer and blower combo pack... I cat w8 to care for my lawn this weekend❤❤❤❤❤
Nice!!
This has been sitting in the garage going unused (purchased because I thought my husband or son would be helping with yard work... hahahaha...yeah, no) so thanks to your great video I have figured it out and used it today and am loving it. I am a petite person so it totally was adjustable to my needs. And now I know what it does, it has impressed me even more. I would recommend it - I took down some major weeds and sorta mowed the lawn a bit with it. Thank you !!!!!
I just told my wife about your comment - always stoked when my videos help someone figure out how to use their tools. You son and husband should consider themselves lucky :)
I just bought this trimmer and I like it very much. My frustration is with the manual. Just pictures with no words to describe what is happening in the pictures. Your video is good but I think I messed something up before I found it. In the manual something called the lower shaft coupling. The manual does not show you need to pull it up in order to rotate the lower unit if you want to change to edging mode. I twisted the lower unit without pulling up on the shaft coupling. I find now that when I do it the correct way now when in edging mode it wobbles and is not tight to hold things in place. Wondering if I have broken something in that area. Any thoughts on this and what I can do to get it looked at?
You didn't mention the orange left-side button on the handle that has to be constantly pushed-in to opperate the trigger, and whether or not you found that to be a bit of a hassle, especially when having to hold it in for 15-to-30 minutes at a time.
I noticed you had the wheels mounted on the back of the shield so you could roll the trimmer forward and backward, like a mower, but how is it attached? I see only how the wheel attaches to make an edger.
I love mine, I bought a version of this at Home Depot if I'm not mistaken, it was maybe four years ago, and it was the weed eater and a blower with two batteries for around $100. And it was a great purchase, my house has just an average yard, not too much weed eating, about average, and it does a great job, it's light, and the best feature is the edger, those wheels makes it easy and it gives the property a very nice finished look with little effort. The blower is nice to have when needed, although the it drains the batteries quickly, but that's to be expected. Also the batteries are doing great four years into it, they hold their charge well, that was my worry when I bought it, that they'd fail and I'd have to replace them, but not at all, they're running strong. All in all, it was one of the best purchases I've made for my home maintenance, I'd buy it again, and recommend it to others with average yard work.
great stuff for smaller yards
I bought the kit which included the blower along with the trimmer. It works well even with the small line. The edger works perfectly and I can edge around my driveway on one charge. The trimmer is all I need as I do not do allot of trimming. This unit is not good for a large property or heavy weeds. It does work well on a small property. The blower has plenty of power to blow off your driveway or sidewalk. Expect to get around 12 minutes on the blower at fulll power and maybe 15 minutes on the trimmer. As you have 2 batteries this should be enough for a small property. I am well pleased with the Work Combo and can recommend it for a small property.
Great comment
Just got mine and had to find a video to show me how to work it! This was perfect! Quick and to the point! Thank you!
great!
Thank you soo very much. You taught me the mowing part. Loves here 💕
I'm so glad!
My neighbor has this and loves it. He demonstrated it for me today, and I bought it right away.
Might there possible be another reason this tool is appealing? We women love it because it's both lightweight and powerful enough for us women to get the job done. I'm 70years old and widowed. I must now pay exorbitant prices for half assed lawn care or do it myself. Instead of trying to lug around my husband's heavy man tools, I preferred to purchase Worx's lightweight tools and enjoy my yard work time.
Thank you for that comment - I always focus on the big powerful tools but never consider this application. Thanks
Thank you, this is one of the best reviews i have seen!
Great explanation of the various features, but I didn't find the one I need, which is: How do I turn the handle - not just the trimmer head - so that the handle is upright (and not to the right) while using the wheels?
pull and twist
Great job! I have a small property and love all the features. There a lots of suck video performances on RUclips. You are a pro! exciting, knowledgable and honest about the unit's limitations. My electric edger is getting too heavy for me and I have to stop several times, cut twine and physically change it. This and fighting with the cord makes me put off doing my lawn. Thank you for making such a wonderful video, young man!
Great tool!
The command feed does not work. When I press the button, it stalls the motor. I have taken the spool off and reinstalled it but it does the same thing.
When you advance the line pushing the button, the motor stalls because it's supposed to. I just read my booklet. 😊
@@tinaingram885 I read that as well. Problem is the line does not feed out.
I love my Worx tools and enjoy using them including this worx line trimmer. My one complaint is their so called “string for life” the shipping fee is total BS. It doesn’t cost $10 to ship 6 tiny spools of string. These don’t last very long and are very light weight. Shipping should be more like $5. That would seem more like free string for life. Cause you truly are paying for just shipping. They use the free string option as a selling point and it’s truly not. You’re paying for that string. It’s already included in that overinflated shipping fee. I hope Worx reads this post. Like I said, I love my Worx tools, but not their shipping fees. Thanks for the great video.
Yeah - or better yet just let you pick it up in the store and reimburse
Kite Army very true, or maybe even offer through Amazon where prime members can get free shipping and reimburse those who don’t have prime
@@BidCrushr Right - I sort of get the $10 fee but it also is a bit of a scam
I think I made up my mind. I'm a picker type. I do a lot of reviews and research to buy the (almost) top best products on the market. I really like how you demo this Worx Trimmer. I really needed to see how this trimmer work. Above all the stringer. You installed the spool with ease which I need that. I understand the stringer doesn't last forever. I've seen a trimmer with chains. I have a large backyard that need heavy trims. Some are tall grasses along the fences and some plants stems that are thicker than grasses. I wondered if the stringer can cut them? I like everything I saw in the demo but I am not sure of the strength of the stringer to cut stems thicker than grasses along the fences. Common sense would tell me that I may need to cut some by hands. Thanks for the video.
I would consider this a mid-performance trimmer. However, I'm often shocked at how aggressively these can trim brush. Thanks for the comment.
Great demonstration of its features! I didn't know it would work as a mini lawn mower. Thanks for the tip and I will be trying that with mine this weekend.
Your lawn is going to look great!
Hi Andrew. I have the gt1.0 and looking to upgrade to a newer model. I like everything about this one but the head lock above the head. I like simply adjusting the tilt with my foot and wondering if I can just keep this model unlocked and still adjust it with my foot. Will it hold ok? I would assume it will except perhaps when use it as a mini mower with wheels on the head cover, in which case I'd have to be lifting it up to move the wheels anyway so could simply lock it while there. But otherwise...?
I bought this last summer and love it,I bought 4.0Ah model came with 2 batteries and quick charger.
That's even better
I'm on my 17-year with my original Worx trimmer I don't know if mine's comparable any more cuz it's 32 volts I would sure like to buy a new one but I got to let mine die first
Informative and helpful Thanks. Merry Christmas. Happy New Year!
same to you :)
I have 2 of the older 18 volt units and they are awesome! Trouble is, I can't seem to find replacement batteries in 18 volt, and I don't know if the 20 volt batteries will work with my older units. Worx doesn't offer 18 volt batteries anymore. Any advice?
Thank you for the review Andrew, you've sold me on this.
Very useful tool
It's a pretty cool tool
Thanks for this. I have a very tiny yard and need something to cut some weeds and tough to reach grass with. I don't want to mess with a gas trimmer. Too annoying especially when it sits for the winter. I think I'll just grab this. Seems super simple and worth it for small yards
perfect for that application
Informative vid, but did you show how the handle rotates to convert it to an edger?
thank you for the video. for some reason i can not get the wheels off the back to turn it into an edger. i press the release and it will not let the wheels come off. what am i doing wrong. thanks
use lots of force
Great review. Thanks! This was handy.
Thanks glad it was helpful
I first bought this one. It was indeed not so powerful. But not bad in its class. But the string with the very small spools.. one major turnoff for me is that the orange plastic cap that holds the spool was worn out pretty fast and broke. When i reached out to them they did not give me any warranty, that was harsh for me because i own almost the complete worx line up little did they know.. then i bought the ego based on your review. It is very powerfull, a lot more expensive but you feel the difference between hobby and pro.
You are right - if you had to do it again, given your experience what would you do now
I really helps to see a video of the thing in use. The diagrams in the quick start guide are awful! Going to use it today!
Glad it was helpful!
@@jimnorthland2903 yeah hard to cover everything
Great video. I really needed a demonstration and I think this made me more comfortable using this trimmer. Thank you!
Cool - it is a fun versatile trimmer
Thankyou as I couldn’t figure out how to advance the line.
Nice vid. I use my worx trimmer on huge jobs. It's a money maker for me!
"....If youre a smurf" I know I'm short but no need to get so personal :-/ lol I've ordered one. Just waiting for mine.
that's super smurfy
Thanks to your video I am now ready to use my Worx trimmer/edger/mini mower
Glad I could help
This is a perfect tool for an old lady, of which I am one. Yours is the best video I've found - BUT I still can't figure out some things you went over too quickly. Like how to adjust the angle of the handle. ????? And I can't see anything like your orange lock on mine. I also can't figure out how to move the edging wheels to be a mini-mower. There is no narrative with the instructions and I can't understand the pictures. ?????? Maybe you should do a very slowed down video specially for spunky old ladies who have also gone back to rotary mowers....like me! Thanks
I'm loving your style! I would be willing to zoom with you to walk you through that if you like - I would hope that someone would do the same for my spunky mother :)
Thank you. I’m a 70 year old woman and this tool is awesome. I am on able to start a gas powered trimmer and they’re also very heavy this is nice and light weight very easy to use and I really like it and I haven’t run out of battery power yet I do have the 40 amp battery. I was so happy with Hess that I also bought a battery powered blower and I’m very happy with that I got a small one it’s perfect for me.😋
Each model is slightly different as far as how to rotate the handle. The old one (wg151) you put your foot on the wheels to hold it to the ground and pull up on both handles to raise the stem and then rotate it. The gt2.0 (163) has a lever on the stem that you lift and can both rotate and adjust length while it's open. This one has a screw flange on the stem, as Andrew demonstrated, and that too allows for both length and swivel adjustments.
I clicked on the link to buy it and it is $227.oo, not $99.oo? Also, how is pressing the button better than an auto feeder where I wouldn't have to do anything? Note - I just used a weed eater for the first time today and need to get my own. I'm not debating the points, trying to understand the difference. Thanks
This is a very simple bare bones trimmer - if you have a bigger yard you should see my other trimmer reviews
My sister in law loves hers. She bought all the attachments too.
Pretty handy trimmer
Is this similar to the Nitro WG173 3-in-1 I just ordered from Amazon?
The tires keep falling off when using the mini mower. Any suggestions?
just bought one of these....tilting the head seems impossible. I can tell it adjusts but i have to push so hard on it, it literally feels like im breaking it and i havent gotten it to adjust angles.
Is there a way to do a slanted cut when edging lawn? I end up trying to tip it onto one of the wheels.
Thank you for explaining the mini mower function.
You bet!
Nice video. I have a question I hope you can answer, since there is no mention of it in my manual. My trimmer included a larger black spool that will not fit on the trimmer like the orange spools. I first thought it was just a spool to hold extra trimmer line, but it has serrated edges underneath that look similar to the orange ones, but like I said, it won't fit on my trimmer. Do you think they included an extra spool for a different model?
Now you're going to make me look bad - no idea. EXTRA PARTS
I've just got this trimmer and all je said is true. The only thing I'd mention is life battery, it lasts for about 15mins of continued use and it takes about 4hrs to fully load
Thanks - so do you like it?
@@Kitearmy Yeah, it is really good. I bought it in a combo with a work leaves blower. Also only thing to mention is battery lasting, everything else is great.
@@riskromer9773 You can buy a larger Ah battery
@@Kitearmy actually we bought the combo in a sale for 90 bucks, those batteries will cost about the same lol
@@riskromer9773 Batteries are the real expense - the other stuff is cheap to make
I really enjoyed your video. I just got my Worx product. It would be nice if the video included detailed instructions how to change into the edger, trimmer and mower. I couldn't find any videos that showed those steps.
Glad you liked it - sorry that I didn't include how to change - it's hard to include everything in a 5 min video.
The cutting head tilts (locks and unlocks too).
I just got mine today. Everything was easy to figure out except how to change the head from trimmer position to edger position.
Hi, I just wish t have your honest opinion. I have a small side building yard. maybe about 40 long, and not even 20 feet wide, with a huge cement square downstair case, that takes almost half my yard. Cause I live in the basement. So Honestly, do you think that I would need the extra 4 amp for the higher price, or will the lower priced one, with the 2 20V battery will do? Please give me your opinion. Thanks
Go with the cheaper 1 - you get 2 batteries so you can use 1 while you charge 1
@@Kitearmy Thanks a lot for your help. i really appreciate it.. Thanks! Happy Holidays to you and your family!
@@stephandelange1776 Thanks - let us know how it works out for you
Thanks for the great review and demo of how to turn the head. My wheels keep coming off- they seem to not stay tightened. I haven't seen anyone talking about this. Any fixes?
Glad it helped
I was given a worx trimmer but they forgot to send a charger or can it be changed without a charger.
I just got mine a few days ago. I haven’t used it yet, but; this makes me want to try it right now. Thanks for the tips.
Have fun!

@@pisces363 I get it by Sept I'm burned out
Or a lady that needs an easy lightweight I love it. I have blower and hedger. Thanks 👍
perfect for someone who does not want to haul around a heavy trimmer - I can't say lady
Thank you Andrew!! I love your viedos. It's nice to have somebody show up and tell us exactly how to use the tools I bought a Worxs weed trimmer 11 years ago after my husband passed away. I thought it was going to be great. However I was so disappointed as the batteries don't last even 10 minutes. And they said it would do a football field my yard is nowhere near a football field size. The Comfort adjustable handle broke separated and broke. I don't like that adjustable comfort handle for that purpose. I called the company to see if they had a another handle that they get shipped to me that I can put on to the weed trimmer and they said no I had to buy a whole new unit. I don't have small children at my house I'm all by myself so I was very disappointed that the handle broke. On the plus side I did like having the spools sent to me that's a great convenience but I don't think I will purchase another Worx for that price.
I bought a Black & Decker but I don't like the trimming line on it. I'm on the market for another weed trimmer
Thanks for sharing this story - you would be surprised how many times I have heard similar stories. Some of the trimmers I review are very heavy. I really like this model for it's versatility, it has only been available for about 2 years. Sometimes at Sams club they have them onsale complete for $60. Hope that helps
Thanks great info on this machine I just bought myself one and it looks like it will be easy for me to use as it's so versatile and light to handle. Cant wait to use it if the rain ever stops .
This is a good do it all trimmer
I have 32 volt trimmer- I couldn’t find a charger compatible with it. Help !
What about turning twisting the head for an edger ?? No one mentions or shows.
Just bought this today. It was a lot cheaper compared to the others with more power and longer warranties. And it's small, light and comes pre-fixed.
Yeah - for a smaller yard this is a great tool
Thank you for the information. This is my first time cutting my own grass 😬 and I wasn't sure how to work this trimmer.
glad you found it useful
For some reason my string kept breaking right up against the hole where the string comes out, so I would have to stop, take out the spool and pull out more line, thread it through the hole again, before getting back to work. Its annoying when the line keeps breaking right at the hole. Other than that, love cause its so light.
Great video, very informative,
Thanks
Our trimmer seems to have become twisted somehow. When I pulled it out the first time this year, Either the handle or the head are twisted the wrong direction. I’m not sure what happened or how to fix it as the handle doesn’t seem to swivel at all. What have I done and how do I fix it?
just yank on it it opposite directions and it will spin
This video convinced me to buy this tool. Thanks so much!
Good solid versatile tool
What’s the difference between the mini mower and trimmer
I am wondering how long the string should last and how often we should be pressing that command button? Thank you.
push it when you see that the string is almost at the head (about 2" close)
@@Kitearmy Thank you. So here is another dumb question. How am I supposed to know that - does the string stop working? Am I supposed to turn it over? When I hit it, how much string comes out? I tried pressing the button - and nothing moved. Do you need to hit the button while the machine is one, when it is off? I feel so stupid.
@@bonniejohnson1549 happy to help - yes you need to hit the button when the trimmer is operating. After some time you will get a sense of how long the sting is.
My only issue with this trimmer is that the wheels keep coming off, especially when attempting to use as a mini-mower. Any tips for how to get them to stay on??
Other than that annoying problem, I am really appreciating this light, versatile addition to my yard tools. I initially bought an EGO trimmer, which is a real workhorse, but too heavy for me. But I'm on the petite side with arthritic conditions, so this WORX GT revolution has become the favored go-to for getting my yard trimmed.
So nice to hear that this tool is easier for you to operate. Now lets see if I can help you - their is a little snap on the back of the wheel that holds it in place. I have to admit it takes a little technique to get it just right - maybe some can give you a hand with it - better yet have that person trim for you & help with the wheel :)
I have the same problem. Only when using it as a mini mower. No problem with the edging. I think they should improve that part of this trimmer.
I had the same problem last year. I just used a flashlight to see how it clicks on. The wheels have an area you can push, it's raised. If you can get your wheels off without pushing this tab, the wheels aren't on correctly.
I just got one as a gift. I put it together and charged it until the green light was solid. The whipper spins, but when I push the command feed button, it doesn't release any of the orange line. What am I doing wrong?
pop the head and make sure the line is coming out

Very cool intro Andrew...I am such a sucker for drumlines! Very practical rig for small property owners with all those features. String for life and 2 batteries for that price?...no brainer for the small property guy/girl. I really like all the features and especially the string feed system...nice! Speaking of brains, the Worx team really brainstormed on this one. My only concern is the power and string size. My boss bought me a B&D 20V, 0.065 string trimmer for work, which is a commercial property and I didn't want to be rude to him, but I could have laughed in his face. It only gets around 1/2 of the property before it dies, has a 5 hour charger and only 1 battery. If I had this rig, at least I would be able to do all the trimming in one shot with the 2 batteries. There are also spots where the 20V one string doesn't quite cut it...but it's better than what I had to work with which was a broken, non usable gas trimmer! ( Beggars can't be choosers...at least I'm not sucking smoke and wearing ear muffs ;) ) Once again a very practical, educational, fun and awesomely edited video demo...you ARE da man! Cheers, John ;)
Thanks John :) I always love to hear what the die hard fans think. We need to talk to your boss about getting you some EGO stuff - your right about the run time of this unit, it will be on the low side BUT for many folks who have smaller yards that won't ever present an issue. BTW - what's on your fathers day wish list?
Haha...Father's Day wish list? An EGO string trimmer would be nice or better yet the EGO self propelled 21" mower...yeah. I have an electric string trimmer already, not a good one, but at least it's electric. I have a stinky old ICE mower that needs to be replaced by an EGO mower! We'll get there eventually, but it is nice to have goals to shoot for, eh? Yeah my boss is not connected with the true power of electric yet...like most of the people up here in Nova Scotia. Cheers, John ;)
Nova Scotia - WOW! I bet you could use a cordless snow blower!. I have always wanted to visit The Bay of Fundy. You don't happen to have a US address? - I'm putting together a tool giveaway.
Yeah, a cordless snow blower would be rad. A local business had one for sale while back and they couldn't even give it away...see what I mean by the electric mentality here? ( i couldn't afford it at the time ) We are 10 years behind the curve at least! To answer your question...no, I don't have an American address...but I have a brother who lives a hop, skip and a jump form the US border in St. Andrews, New Brunswick...that's as close as I can get :( Wish I did have a US address as I just bought a wetsuit from Henderson Sport Group in New Jersey and the duties, taxes and brokerage fees were over 50% of the cost of the suit! I cancelled a purchase of a signature Ben Gravy surfboard from Wind & Waves in Vermont because I couldn't swing the shipping and handling costs...funny thing is that I just got a similar board from Costco and it was shipped all the way across the country from British Columbia to Nova Scotia...FREE!!!...go figure, eh? The Bay Of Fundy is pretty cool, as you probably know, we have the highest tides in the world and a beach in that bay will be my proving grounds for my first surf rides. In fact, the beach where I'm going to learn to surf is a pretty nice beach to kiteboard on too...hint, hint...lol ;) It even has a cozy, inexpensive and quaint motel and cottage right above it!...come experience the World's Highest Tides in Canada's Ocean Playground ( Canada's Ocean Playground is actually on our licence plates! )...consider yourself invited :) Cheers, John ;)
I'm really flattered by your generous offer :) Ben Gravy is so much fun -what a positive spirit. We are very proud of him here in NJ. So glad that you are learning how to surf - it will change the way you see the world. BTW - you are now the proud owner of a KiteArmy Tee - email me your address (size L or XL)and I will get it out to you. KiteArmy@gmail.com
I have the first generation Worx GT with the 24 volt lithium battery and had to use a vise to hold the trimmer to adjust the head each time I want to chance from edger to trimmer! The tiny spool of line was laughable so I just got around 30 of the spools and just reloaded them each time with replacement string! I usually use 2 spools each time I use the trimmer! I purchase the empty spools on Craiglist for a dollar each. The original batteries were shot after a month time and Worx gave me a new set of batteries but I had to pay for the shipping which was around $15! The replacement batteries were solid and still works like new after maybe 80 trims. I use to the routine of using a vise and a bodybuilder friend of mine try to change the head and he is 6' 3" and 250 powers of solid muscle and can brench press near 400 lbs. He could not do it! LOL!
May get this new one anyways!
The spools are small. Maybe you should reload the spools with a better quality line - try echo
I have bought one of these things and i have assembled it but i cannot adjust the angle between grass trimming and edging. It is stuck in edging mode.

The trimer line won't feed. What is the fix? There is a black button that I can press and pull out more line, but it won't feed line while it is running. A 2" line doesn't do much.
try to pull out the spool - and reset
@@Kitearmy Thank you. I have taken out the spool several times and that does not reset it. Is there a button to push to reset it?
@@lcas2891 Yes- on the side - try to respool the string too
Just saw your video the other day so I went and got one thanks for your videos
Nice 👍
What do you consider a small lawn size wise?
