    The credit scene here was where Marvel first introduced Thanos to the viewers. It was an Easter Egg for the comic readers who instantly recognized him where everyone else had no idea who he was. We suddenly knew who the main villain would be long before he started moving his plans forward directly. It was a wonderful gift they gave to us so we could explain to everyone else who it was.

      I always wondered why the other Avengers looked to Cap as the leader so readily, but this movie went a long way to showing me why. He may not be nearly as strong or powerful as most of the team, but he seems to have a natural talent in learning and understanding the capabilities of his teammates, and giving them the job where their abilities are most effective. Even more important, however, is he is also more than willing to defer to someone else's lead/idea if they're more suited or know more about the situation. He's also clearly extremely charismatic.

    • @PhilBagels
      @PhilBagels 4 месяца назад +12

      @@nicholaswilkerson4394 Cap has actual war experience. Fighting as part of an army. Giving orders, making plans. Everyone else has pretty much only done things on their own. Sure, Tony is sort of a business leader - but he didn't even do much of that. He was mostly focused on his own projects, which is how Stane managed to become so corrupt - because Tony wasn't really paying attention to the business side of things. And then in IM2, he hands over the business leadership to Pepper. Yes, Thor has war experience, but a very different kind - "Viking-style", with strength and ferocity, not so much with strategy and organization.

    • @nicholaswilkerson4394
      @nicholaswilkerson4394 4 месяца назад +3

      @PhilBagels well sure, but even so, even just Tony himself is so prideful, him actually listening to someone else as a leader speaks very highly of the person he follows. Having fought in an actual war certainly helps, but I was more referring to reasons beyond that. Especially since this kind of fight is nothing like any of the fights Cap has yet seen, and his teammates are nothing like the normal soldiers Cap had experience commanding during the war.

    Loki is a bit of a puzzle, and makes for one of the more interesting characters in the MCU. He has shown that he is willing to fight for one side or the other, whichever is best for him at the moment. Surely he has a moral compass buried in there somewhere

      Sure. But Loki has an inferiority complex because of his big brother Thor, and thinks he deserves a throne because he is smart, not just strong. So he always comes up with ways to torment Thor.

    "The Other" is just one alien guy, it's not a whole race. That's his name. He's the guy that spent the movie intimidating Loki and was bowing to Thanos in the post-credits scene.
    Also yeah, there was a second credits scene in this movie that you missed. Going forward, make sure to keep an eye for all possible scenes afterwards. A lot of MCU movies will have a scene in the middle of the credits and then another one at the very end.

    When they were all arguing in the helicarrier... I thought they were under the influence of Loki's scepter. Isn't that why Banner ended up holding it without realizing? If so... then a lot of the dialogue was "under the influence." Like when they're accusing each other... "Take off that armor what are you?" etc.

    Black Widow & Hawkeye: Spies Loki: 'Karen' Mentality/Ego (God of Mischief)
    Thor: Humbled God

    I already know that I'm going to love this reaction! 😊
    This is the MCU debut of Mark Ruffalo as Bruce Banner/the Hulk, and of Cobie Smulders as SHIELD Agent Maria Hill.
    Once again Tom Hiddleston is fantastic as Loki. And we sadly say goodbye to SHIELD Agent Phil Coulson. However, if you're a fan of the character of Phil Coulson then I very highly recommend the "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D" show.
    Fun Fact #1: Robert Downey Jr. is known for hiding healthy snacks on the set. And that scene where Tony offers Bruce and Steve a blueberry, that was the snack that he had on set.
    Fun Fact #2: The post credit scene with the Avengers eating at the Shawarma restaurant was filmed within days of the premiere. And by that time Chris Evans was growing his beard out of his movie "Snowpiercer". So the reason why you don't see Steve eating is because he's holding a piece of prosthetic on his jaw.
    Up next: The beginning of Phase 2 with "Iron Man 3". And that has one post-credit scene.
    Looking forward to your next reaction. 😊

    This is a great movie. I love it when it came out in theaters. The thing about Loki ..... Everyone assumes that he is on this side or that. He isn't. He's on his own side and will serve his own interests as he sees fit to fulfill them (his glorious purpose). The problem with playing both sides against the middle is that it's a good way to get hit by traffic going in both directions. Agent Coulson served his purpose in solidifying the Avengers into a team.

    I loved that Loki vs Captain America fight, even though Cap just isn't at Loki's power level. The tyrant vs the liberator. And Loki is just short of Toni's power level. Come to think of it, the power levels are pretty well defined in this movie. Hulk > Thor > IronMan > Loki > Captain America > Black Widow > Hawkeye. Well, Black Widow and Hawkeye are comparable, but in a fight,most of the time, Widow wins.

    • @rahilrameez8635

      Well about power levels, MCU is very bad at it. I would say Hulk and Thor are even and Tony can go toe to toe with them but Thor and Hulk are lot stronger. Also Captain America is nowhere close to Tony's suit. They even they're power levels out in the MCU and make it work.

    I remember when this film was released. Many reviews at the time expressed how "they made it work" referring to how all of these characters were successfully brought together into one movie. At the time, nothing like this had ever been attempted, much less achieved, on such a grand scale. Although, Universal had brought their line of "monsters" together for a handful of films, but again nothing on the order of which Marvel had done with Avengers. It's very much taken for granted today, but this was a feat no one ever considered possible given the inconsistent quality of superhero films up until that point. And little did any comic book fan know the ramifications of what Avengers had initiated. For a solid decade, the ride, collectively, was worth more than the price of admission. Then the dream ended when DEIsney WOKE up.

    How Thor knew about Loki is Heimdal can see everything, even if the Bifrost was destroyed. That's his special power. Once Loki was on Earth and not shrouded by his illusions or protected by the aliens who hired him to get the Tesseract, Thor got summoned to deal with it. The Bifrost hadn't been repaired yet, but they used some other method to get Thor to Earth.
    What you were talking about at around 30 minutes is known as "monologing" (one person talking). When villains do that, it is always just before they lose. They are so full of themselves they have to boast on how smart or strong they are. Meanwhile the heroes are executing their plan to win.
    Loki doesn't do that. He does make prideful boasts, but doesn't go on so long that it is the *cause* of his downfall. He loses for other causes. Also, part of the reason they were all arguing in the lab is Loki's scepter was influencing them. Causing chaos between his enemies was part of Loki's plan.
    If you are sad about Coulson's death, go watch the first episodes of Agents of Shield.
