hopefully you / editor were just isolating audio for the edit / avoid copyright. would be a shame if you were just getting 2.0 versus the full 5 .1 + audio channels + score. Cause I noticed no soundtrack at least in first 15 minutes so far.
Editor Message: Yes, this is not the version that Stef watched. I download the 5.1 audio from the movie and isolate the center channel to get mostly dialogue. It reduces the likely hood that I have to cut out as frequently/have the volume so low. Unfortunately RUclips will still recognize dialogue scenes that are popular, hence why the volume still has to be drastically low throughout the edit.

Dude who refused to launch the ships with a gun to his head is the bravest person in the entire movie.
I always thought that, too. Luckily he's in a room full of trained SHIELD agents who'd give their lives for his in a heartbeat.
Love that detail, emphasizes that real heroes are among us
The actor played the young Austin Powers in Goldmember.
@defunctus408 Ohh Snap😮 I Didn't Recognise Him
''Like he said, Captain's orders.''
This film raised Captain America's profile in the MCU. The Winter Soldier was on the next level shit like The Dark Knight!
Nice comparison. Hmm… SUV flipped… 18-wheeler flipped. Let me think this through…
Fury and Gordon “dying.”
Captain America was one of my favorite comics when I was a kid in the '70s. I was prepared to like Captain America.
This movie is still my favourite MCU movie and even favourite comic book movie in general. And, yeah, they righted Cap after him being kind of too naive in the first (though I understand the reason) and then in The Avengers being kind of lame and the target of too many jokes for a character that's supposed to be a leader. In this movie he's still the same morally right guy but he's also brutal when needed.
CA: Winter soldier has one of the best fight choreography. They did so well on this.
YES!
Agreed
If you havnt seen it yet. Corridor Digital has a series called stuntman react on their youtube channel. They get the stuntman from Marvel (and other stuff) to break down stunts that they do. It’s really cool to hear some behind the scenes stuff on action/fight choreography etc. highly recommend checking it out as a marvel fan!
The dude who speaks french, the bad guy, is George St-Pierre, the former UFC world champion for many years.
The character he played was known in Marvel comics as Georges "the leaper" Batroc. Primarily a villain of Captain America Batroc over the years has fought others like Spider Man, the Punisher, and Iron Fist.
@@stanleydavidlepretre4241 If I recall correctly wasnt it implied in the comic that his father was an inhuman and his mother a normal human. Didnt his mother have to have an emergency c-section because his kicking was doing damage in her womb?
"Because I'm with you till the end of the line" is what Bucky told Rogers in Cap. America. He was trying to jog his memory.
Its actually a flashback scene in this movie
Yup. Thats how good this movie is. To witness this for the first time with an Audience in a packed theatre was Cinema at its best!
This movie will never leave my top 3 for MCU films.
If it's a Captain America movie you know it's going to be good.
Until the one without steve
@@jesse33cdn My statement stands for at least a year.
@@Khay-77 copy that!
The hand-to-hand fight between Cap and Winter Soldier is one of the best fight scenes ever. The absence of high-octane music in place for Shepard's Tone was absolutely exquisite.
Chris Evans and Sebastian Stan did so great on the fights! Sebastian's knife flip is iconic, and Chris has a great style of doing stunts that stems from his background in dance. So he turns and moves in a fluid way, which others can't exactly replicate. This is why he had to do his own stunts a lot of the time because stuntsmen couldn't have moved exactly like him! They've done the fight scenes amazingly in this movie💯
Anyone who's ever seen 1970s spy thrillers like All The President's Men knows how genius it was to cast Robert Redford as Alexander Pierce in this movie.
🏆 S/O to Sundance.
Literally cast as the opposite role of his role in Three Days of the Condor
This whole reaction explains why I love Stef’s reactions, she shows such genuine emotion.
Yeah its definitely one of the better superhero movies ever made, and this to me is the start of peak mcu, from about winter soldier to endgame its almost all hits no misses from here, with maybe a couple exceptions 💀
Yeah but even the ones considered “misses” by MCU Infinity Saga standards are still just mid tier by regular movie standards. I don’t think any of them are actually “bad”.
I was hoping secret invasion would be as good as this movie. Talk about a big disappointment.
It's really great because it shakes up the existing status quo.
@@Etticos.Analyzing it well, the mcu has more bad products than good ones.
@@RM-qj8cs I strongly disagree!
One of the reasons they used the word "miracles" at the end was because Marvel Studios didnt have permission to use the word mutants yet as the X-men film rights were with Fox. The 2 characters at the end, Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch, were traditionally mutants but also associated with Avengers in publication history so its a bit of a grey area.
Because movie rights to mutants were held by FOX as part of the X-Men franchise, both Wanda and Pietro were made explicitly NOT mutants in the MCU. And that was also changed in the comics aroun 2014- they aren't mutants anymore there either.
The two studios agreed to split usage of the Maximoff twins- Wanda could be used in the MCU, while Quicksilver could appear in the X-Men movie universe. However the deal allowed Quicksilver to show up once in the MCU, which he did in Age of Ultron.
@@neospock5034 So they're not Magneto's children anymore ? That seems silly.
@@davidladjani108 they only did that because of the rights (comics tend to change things to line up with mcu) but literally no one cares and still says they are so LOL
they were still on the mutant island and all that junk
i expect them to be back as magento's children again
@@davidladjani108 Just like how the MCU changed Ms. Marvel's powers.
@@davidladjani108 yeah it kinda sucks and it was done for the petty reasons, but they weren't originally Magneto's children either, that revelation came in the 1980s. So Marvel didn't have any problem changing their origins again, saying everyone just mistakenly thought they were biologically related to Magneto all this time.
One of my favorite parts is when the guy calls Steve "specimen" you were the first person I saw laugh lol 😊
This movie was definitely one of the best ones made.
I am REALLY looking forward to seeing her reaction to civil war because she is invested completely already
The best MCU movie in my eyes!
Winter Soldier is peak MCU.
For”Pulp Fiction” fans Fury’s tombstone reads Ezekiel 25:17.
I made a joke in another channel reaction about the “J” in Fury’s name standing for Jules and him being a variant 🥁
Yeah, I caught that.
Can't wait for Stef's reaction to Captain America: Civil War
Blood Diamond? Oh yeah, you're in for a ride.
Your face when the mask comes off and Bucky is revealed is priceless, and absolutely perfect.
IMO this is the best Marvel movie.
“Marvel Studios"
Disagree. The First Avenger was best, Black Panther was second, Ironman third... then, maybe, Winter Soldier.
Steve and Natasha always having the flirty banter hints that they could be a couple if they wanted to be, but their individual pasts make them more reserved / closed off and somewhat unwilling to be that open with someone else.
Don't worry / apologize about not talking that much during your reaction, all that means, to me at least, is that the film did it's job in keeping you invested in the story going on and piecing together what you've already seen and how that can tie back to other events / characters we already know (i.e. other movies or just previous event in this particular movie) or how it will lead to future events.
All around great reaction 👍
Natasha and Steve makes a lot more sense as a couple then Natasha and another certain someone which made no sense at all.
Awe sheeettt ! I can’t wait for this one🍻 one of my absolute favourite movies.
Really? All the avenger bloom my mind!!! i ll rewatch today with you all
Cap’s suit and design in this movie was top tier! Plus the action, suspense and execution makes it one of the best mcu films
Take note of the director's name. Every Marvel movie directed by them is a great piece.
Reall
Fun fact the shield headquarter lobby was actually the main lobby of the Cleveland Ohio art museum I walked through it growing up.
This is a top 5 mcu film and a brilliant spy thriller
bruh, that discussion after the movie is EXACTLY what it mean to be all over the place..loved it
Better than The Dark Knight.... The Winter Soldier is one of the top 3 best comic book movies ever
BEST TRILOGY IN THE MCU
In nick fury scene when the vehical Ai said:
"D.c dispatch showing there's no unit in this area"
that's something scariest thing you can hear in situation like that
📠 who’s got access to DC Metro armory?
For context, Bucky was experimented on and was given a similar super soldier serum that Cap was given so has pretty much the same abilities minus the shield but has a metal arm.
If your brain feels a little scrambled after experiencing The Winter Soldier (especially after watching Dark World), don't worry... that means that he movie had the appropriate impact. Love your reactions!
This is a top 3 MCU movie for me. Espionage, action, it had the lot. They really stepped it up with this one, and I became a Cap fan after this one.
oh yea this and Guardians back 2 back was crazy ngl
Best MCU film, period.
YEP! NO DOUBT!
Cap: "SHIELD, HYDRA ... it all goes." 🗽
As for the scepter having an infinity stone, that's not something that has been talked about yet. The credit scene here is the first to hint that there's an unsuspected power to the scepter.
I cannot believe this movie came out 10 years ago. 😩 I remember it so vividly because 2014 was the year I rediscovered my love of film.
That summer when Captain America 2, X-Men Days of Future past, Godzilla and Amazing Spider-Man 2 came out... it was truly a few months I'll never forget.
Of the standalone movies (non Avenger movies maybe a better term) the Captain America ones are my favorite. Each one is like a different genre and each one goes places you don't expect ... and Cap is just such a good guy! 😊
Im so glad you started this marathon, makes me relive it again!! Awesome reaction👍💫
One of the best MCU movies overall.
36:05 You and Steve have the same exact expression. Awesome.
These movies are peak Marvel. Adapted from some of the most popular comics.
Best MCU movie, period
Hey everyone!! I'm so friggin' excited for this one!!
It’s gonna be back to back bangers with Guardians of the Galaxy next! Winter Soldier is my favorite MCU film and peak MCU imo. So glad to see your reaction, Steve and Bucky is friendship goals for anyone watching. See you on the next one, your editor is gonna have a field day with that one. 😅
This is one of the 5 best MCU movies IMO.
We don’t find out the scepter is an infinity stone until the ‘avengers age of ultron’. They made it seem like the scepter and the tesseract were linked.
Also yeah captain and widow always came off to me as just close friends.
Natasha and Steve have much more of a "big brother/little sister" relationship than anything else. They have their little playful flirty moments but it's never meant to be anything more than that.
Not counting Avengers 3 & 4 (no spoilers) because those are transcendent, Winter Soldier is considered by many to be the Best MCU movie. Universally top 3 on everyone's list. The next Captain America is extremely good as well, but you've got a little while on that one yet.
You might consider rewatching this one on your own. There's so much happening that it's easy to miss things on the first watch.
his character name is the Falcon, they showed it on that file he dropped on the table in the scene with Nat & Steve
Edit: i see u figured it out lmao
You're going to have a blast with this one
Aww Stef!! 😭 You can't cry like that in these reactions, LOL!! It breaks my heart so much, you're so sweet... ❤️❤️❤️
"Even when I lost everything, I still had Bucky". That phrase signifies Loyalty beyond all.
winter soldier is easily one of, arguably THE, best MCU movie
This was amazing and your curiosity and attention to detail will pay off as your journey continues. From here out, things are going to be AMAZING. Cannot wait!
I really wish you watch Agents of SHIELD because the season that synced up with the movie was amazing.
I love this movie because it departs from the craziness of Marvel for a more grounded, spy-thriller feel with just enough "that's not possible irl" to make it still believable.
O’ CAPTAIN, MY CAPTAIN 🫡🦅🗽🇺🇸 TEAM CAP RIDE & DIE
I do not know how i missed this movie. Great reaction. I can't be the only one that finds it hard to watch you cry
I like how pierce threatened cap thinkin he could do anything😭
From a stupid kid. That got beat up and tried my hardest to read. I had teachers that were impeccable. With comics. I could see the pictures and read the captions. Found out I could read I didnt comprehend. Now a huge geek and own 6 thousand comics. Also the holy grail 1939 Action Comics starring Superman.
😲 Have you had it Graded?? Even with comics value at an all time low that book could be worth 100K's!!!
@@thebkg if was stuffed and wrapped. It is 7.0. I did have it graded. And that comic would be about 1.5 million. Since the best graded comic was a 9 that sold for 3.5 million. Sometimes it pays to be a geek. What pays more is just be yourself
Could you not sell it but get a loan using its value as collateral. Then you can live off the loan. Not sure if that would work.
@@mannygee005 my friend I jave thought about it. My grandfather was born in 1929. So he bought it as a 10 year old boy. If one day I have a wife and kids. I would like to pass it on to them as it was to myself. I do get what you both are saying.
@@davidward9737I have a graded copy of Tomb Of Dracula #10, 1973 the first appearance of Blade. It's a 9.0 & it's worth $3,000 dollars. It's one of my prized possessions.
If you're a fan of UFC. the guy who plays Batroc is former UFC champion George St. Pierre, reason why fight scene with him was so good.
"I feel like I didn't say much throughout the film" With even more happening in the next Captain America movie she'll probably be saying even less
The first MCU appearance of the Russo Brothers, lol. They are the real MVPs of the later MCU
The one thing I most appreciate about your reactions is just how invested you get in them, but it's also a sign of how good these movies were.
Dark fact: The synth in the Winter Soldier theme is an edited sample of Bucky screaming when he fall of the train in Captain America 1
What I love about this reaction is that at 36:05 Stef and Cap had the exact same facial expressions to seeing Bucky's face 😂
Great reaction!!! Gets me every time seeing people watch for the first time, what many of us believe is the greatest comic book movie ever made!
It's ok to talk about your thoughts after you watch a show, no matter how long it takes
I am stunned that you survived the Peggy scene without a tear!
This is THE GREATEST MCU MOVIE! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I was looking forward to this; you had my favorite reaction to the first Captain America!
Oh, hey Steff. Flurry? 🤓 Lastly, this is such an exciting movie to watch for the first time, "the fight scenes are incredible!" I'd watch it again. 😎🥳🇺🇲
I only started the intro. I just wanted to say. I love your voice.
Sin duda alguna la mejor película en solitario de todo el MCU.
"They snuck a '70s paranoia thriller into my comic book movie."

Guardians of the Galaxy are awesome.cant wait till you see it .
The thin line of difference between The Craziness that Marvel Offers over DC is "The Storyline, Character development and the way it's all linked"❤❤❤
The best movie in the MCU imo.
"What's goin on Stef" is this is the goat of Marvel movies.
Stef, don't worry about getting flustered or losing the words you want to say, we get your point☺️ I do the same thing, where I worry that I'm not explaining myself clearly, ALL THE TIME 😂 Another great reaction though, can't wait to see the rest of the MCU!! 😁❤️
The writing and production value really shines in this one and it also really shows you to not forget a character or write them off for a later plot.
Also no worries those after movie discussions will probably be needed to organize a lot of these plots when they do get deep, totally understandable and it never hurts to hear your after thoughts with each point!
What happened to your brain watching this movie happened to mine and many others. There’s a lot of things to process. I agree that the political and social aspects reflect our reality. I also agree that the fight sequences were really good.
I love your enthusiasm Stef. I also love how your brain works. Great video! It’s really easy to smile when you are around. 😊
Until Guardians.. ✌️🥰💕
This is many people's top 5 if not top 3 favorite movies in the entire MCU, rightfully so. Welcome to the Ruso brothers directing style. Similarly the movies they directed are also in most peoples top 3/5 lists.
In your end discussion, I'm glad to see you've wrapped your head around Loki. Bottom line: If you ever think you finally understand him, you're wrong! 😆
This is my favorite of the stand alone films. They really blended the spy thriller and super hero themes well. Thor 3 and Guardians 1 round out my top 3.
Nice list. This, Civil War and Infinity War for me.
Thor Ragnarok? 😂
@@wartyrant8627Civil War is overrated
Your reaction to this movie was wonderful. Your comments weren't too fast, it was perfectly paced because everyone knows there was so much to process, especially when tying it to the previous movies. BTW, You won't be disappointed with "Guardians of the Galaxy"!
This is definitely a great one buzzin’ for this reaction 💯😊☺️
Stef. As always, you deliver a wonderful performance. So, 9 times out of 10, I'll watch your reactions. Pure reaction. And, all the other comments here are spot on. This is definitely one of the best MCU movies. Thanks Stef.🤓👍 ~ Rob.
This reaction was great. Captain America is in my top two favorite heroes from my youth. The other is Iron Man. Your tears at believing Captain America dead was sweet. You seem to have a tender heart. A virtue in my opinion..
The story that Nick Fury told about his grandfather is a true story...about Samuel L. Jackson's grandfather.
Bless you. You have those eyes like you’re about to cry they’re that clear.
Marcel is best.
You were on point with Steve and Natasha. Lots of people really didn’t care for Thor and Jane so keep it up.
You're going to love the next one. ...great soundtrack.
@47:03 It’s clear from the size of those guns, HYDRA gives zero fu-cks about collateral damage. As long as their target is eliminated, they don’t care how many surrounding people die.
To me this is the absolute peak of the MCU.
Doesn't get better but there are still some decent movies ahead.
Stef is going to love Guardians of the Galaxy.
This movie really showed how much of a badass cap is
