I could listen to Corey Taylor talk for hours
same
Same.
i agree 110%
And he would love to talk for hours 😂
@@dthompson4356He's got a big story
An interviewer that doesn't constantly interrupt and allows the guest to get comfortable. Great work 👍🏼
That was what I enjoyed about this interview as well. There was no interrupting and Corey was able to finish his thoughts.
One of the best interviews from Corey...and I'm telling you, I've seen and heard millions of them...Congratulations!
That means a lot! Thank you!
slipknot ain't a brotherhood just money proof joey n chris
@@dmorhart7745 both were kicked due to drug addictions and the band didnt want to lose another member to drugs like Paul. Do your research bud
@@professoralstyyeah its sad when you hear the 911 call from his sis he had been drinking she even said that he was an alcoholic and had drug issues 😢 rip
You've listened to millions of interviews? That seems literally impossible lol
I love his voice it’s so soothing 😭
A total surfer dude voice. Fuck yaaaah bro 😂
Is that your face? It’s soothing
To have witnessed the transformation in him throughout his career, seeing him now healthy and thriving mentally, physically, emotionally; it's an inspiration and gives me joy. He shares so much of his talent with the world, he deserves the best in return.
I love Corey, he speaks so intelligently and we can all feel how excited and happy he is when he talks about these things.
@nina Hello, how are you doing? It is nice meeting you here.
Such a good interview, Zach. Prepare for a million news headlines on metal websites for the next month from this interview because of how much he revealed here😂
This. I've seen a bunch of Corey Taylor interviews and this might be one of the best ones.
the way corey talks about slipknots future music gives me hope, writing in a room together and just seeing what happens is what got us self titled, im stoked to see what comes out of this new era of slipknot
their last 2 albums were pretty weak tbh... it just isnt the same.. 4 members gone.. the whole writing process is completely different.. so i dont know, its cool that it keeps evolving but it just aint the same sound everyone fell for in the beginning imho
@@fourseven6202I absolutely agree. Losing Joey Jordison has been a HUGE loss. Too much to overcome in my opinion.
@@fourseven6202their not 20 somethings anymore with 20something problems they will never get that back🤷🏾♂️
@@fourseven6202 I agree, but, as a fan, we need to take in consideration all the shit they had to deal with, deaths, fights, lawsuits. They needed a little “jump start” to bring back the energy. After watching their first show in 2024, with the new drummer, it seems they got just that. I’m excited again for them.
@@marcelotavares1950 Yes I was blasted away by their shows with Eloy on drums.. did not expect their energy levels to get so high again lol I am stoked to see whats next too
I'm 46 and getting into Slipknot just now and watching everything to learn about them. Great interview.
Why at 46 would you be getting into Slipknot?
Why not now or never?
@@turbomunch I'm an old Sepultura fan and even got a Sepultura logo tatoo. Just wanted to know more about Slipknot now Eloy has joined. And you are never to old to listen to new (old) music.
I'm just starting to dig tool, lol
I kinda like stone sour more that I'm bout 40
I love Corey Taylor, and how proud he is of Slipknot. He's got a great sense of humor even through much tragedy in his life and his band member's lives. He is a beautiful man, with amazing talent, and a gorgeous voice even when it's singing the darkest songs. I hope to see Slipknot doing concerts for many more years. Thank you for giving me the glorious addiction that IS Slipknot, and Corey.
The world needs more Corey Taylors.
You are so right! Corey is so smart and talented, and most importantly - humble, down to earth. I highly value all these qualities.
@maryelizabeth Hello, how are you doing? It is nice meeting you here.
Love Corey talking about the Beatles. I knew he liked them so when I met him during the coolest vip experience I ever had 11 years ago I won a charity auction to be guests of Slipknot for the day so we got to hangout backstage all day! We hung out side stage for Motörhead, Slayer and Slipknot it was truly amazing. When we first arrived to the venue we had to meet the tour manager to find out what was going to be happening during our (experience) while we were talking to her Corey strolls in with a coffee mug and just sits down next to my Duffy and me and just starts talking she informs him we won the auction and he immediately cringes and says why would you spend that much money for us while laughing and I immediately said “cause you’re our f*cking Beatles man, wouldn’t you spend whatever you could to hangout with them” and he took a sip of coffee and said ooof man you know what thats fair and he shook our hands and we all laughed.
What an awesome experience! I’m glad you had a blast. Corey & The Beatles are legends 🖤🤘🏼😊
I can tell you I have been to too many concerts to even begin to tell you and Slipknot and Stone Sour are by far at top of the list of most phenomenal concerts I have ever seen! I look forward to going every tour! Don’t miss out on seeing them live if you get the chance. The energy they both bring are some of the best! I am so lucky my teenagers go with me to see them now. I have some of my favorite memories growing up and as a Mom with my kids at Slipknot shows!
That's so awesome to read. I have a 1 almost 2 year old girl who loves Slipknot. I'd feel super lucky to bring her to a show when she is old enough for it to be age appropriate. Slipknot live is the most electrifying thing I've ever seen that I hope they are around when she is old enough to see it. Congrats on your memories with your kids.
That's awesome to read my eight year old son loves Slipknot
This is so cool, longtime fan of Zach's and huge Slipknot fan but never thought I'd see the likes of Corey on the show. Zach is getting some really unexpected guests these days and I am loving it!
It’s so cool to see a musician be so human and be so honest with us. 🖤🖤🖤
I live in Nebraska, the neighbor to Iowa, And I am so proud to say that a band such as Slipknot came out of the Midwest. My fiance got me into Slipknot a couple years ago and they quickly rose to becoming one of my favorite bands. I was given a bunch of metal CDs from someone for free because they didn't listen to metal and among those CDs were the Iowa album and slipknot's self-titled album and I am still shocked that I was able to get those magnificent albums for free. I also very much enjoy Stone sour and cmft, and just Corey's voice is so nice and his vocal talents are almost unmatched. I love the mindset of this man. He only makes me respect him as a metal vocalist more and more when I hear him talk about the music and the bands. He's one of those vocalists who is not full of himself and did not come from a well-off household and really had to hustle to make it and that is incredibly respectful. Corey Taylor is definitely one of my favorite metal vocalists and I hope someday I am able to meet him. 🤘🖤
@kayla Hello, how are you doing? It is nice meeting you here.
This is one of the better interviews I have ever heard. The conversational flow, the rapport, and allowing Corey to express his ideas. Very well done
I could listen to Corey’s voice all day it’s so soothing to me as a drummer
@savanna Hello, how are you doing? It is nice meeting you here.
corey taylor i love you and both of your bands. I can listen to you talk and sing for hours. im in love with slipknot. im a 16 year old girl who loves slipknot. I'm very proud on what you do and how you do it. Listening to Slipknot and Stone Sour keeps me and my dad's relationship together and still going. Thank you Corey for all the music you do and make. Love you Corey
Do you love the Junk Beer Kidnap Band?
I saw slipknot on their first tour. Most energy I’ve ever felt in my life.
Legend... Myself and my daughter got to see them in Amsterdam in June this year... Absolutely amazing gig.
Yes! I love this press run Corey Taylor is on. It awesome to see him on so many of the podcasts I like to watch :) I wish you would have more guests like Corey on. You do have fans that watch that are..well let’s say middle aged and fans of metal lol Jonathan Davis or Zakk Wylde would be amazing to see on this podcast!
This is a stellar interview! I could listen to Corey talk forever.
Corey has become one of my faves what a dope ass dude 🖤
He’s freaking 10000 legit this dude is an icon I met him at a slipknot vip he was one of the nicest dudes had a great sense of humor never makes anyone feel like he’s better than and when he talks he’s just a cool dude
This man doesn’t age. It’s unbelievable that he’s 50 already, he looks around 30 smth
I just googled it! Im like f...he's older than me....right? Right!? 😅
I got VIP tickets to Corey’s CMF2 tour in MN. I’m pumped to meet him!
Corey looks so young. Man's 50 years old and he looks like he's 32.
He got sober in his 30s... that helped
@@Madzguy007 No, he didn't... Shawn Economaki told me as much.
@@all_invite_0hm Well it's Coreys own words vs Shawn words... Who to believe and trust... No idea
I mean, when you take care of your physical and mental health, you'll look younger. Or you have good genetics
I could listen Corey all time, no matter if he sing or talk. Also really interesting questions, the only bad thing about this interview is that it ends.
loved the overall good vibe of this interview. It was almost like yall were just a couple friends talking. AWESOME 🙏🏻🕺🏻 Corey seems like such a chill dude
Corey has to be one of the easiest celebs to sit down and interview. His language is impeccable, he’s intelligent, interesting, full of stories, and most of all…..he answers the questions with answers as if he had rehearsed them for decades. He needs to host a children’s story-telling show!
I wonder he thought about pop music honestly right now ( remember couple years ago how hate Corey for pop music ?) because this show usually invite for pop artist such as tori kelly, blackipink, etc esp Ariana Grande, her and Zach kinda close for each other . I need to know if he upgrade his mind or not about that
I hope Slipknot writes another album in a room together like Corey hinted at.
Lets hope not. Post Gray has been dogshit.
@@turbomunchi liked nero forte
I learned so much more about Corey from this interview. He is amazing and I agree i can listen forever to him.
he's the best
Slipknot is my Black Flag. The aggression and anger in the vocals. Maggot since 99. I’ve loved Every album until The end so far. A phenomenal track record
Don't forget the replacement of the lead singer.
Love this, thank you so much for having him on! Love to see more metal artists
@danika Hello, how are you doing? It is nice meeting you here.
He hasn't aged in 20 years, impressive
Dude that was me!! I was the HR for my band!! I was the drummer for them for 4 years (I’m a guitar player but they needed a drummer lol)
Stoked af to see this one! Love that he grew the Mohawk back. The curls are top tier 😅
I love that Mohawk !!
Corey could launch a ASMR parallel project, CD, podcast, whatever, where he just keep talking with his beautiful voice . I would definitely buy it
Imagine him doing this whole interview in a low whisper!! Talk about tingles lol 😂
Love Zach!! I seek you out! The gift of the pandemic (and subsequent 4 year wait for a knee replacement) for me was finding new music! Thanks Zach and really enjoyed getting to know Corey a bit
@leslie Hello, how are you doing? It is nice meeting you here.
Thank you for posting this amazing interview.
Corey has been a big part of my creative inspiration since 1999!
Wow. This interview was fucking fantastic. First time in this channel too. Im diggin it, man. Im diggin it.
thanks for being here!
Damn, this guy is so intelligent! I have a great deal of respect for him!
The best 💯
Still rocking and vibing Stone Sour to this day 🤟🏻. The grunge, punk Metal era was way ahead of its time. Paved the way for the trends nowadays and a lot of the guys still look so young and fresh faced.
Even if your not a slipknot fan which I’m, I don’t know how you couldn’t love this guy. Great interview really enjoyed it and as a 40 year old they keep me feeling young. Much love🤘🤘
Man I gotta say this is one of the better CT interviews and must say Great Job to you guys for actually asking good questions x
You can tell that he was like oh these are genuine good questions with good points to them.
A lot of dummy questions are asked and you guys did a great job. I always wanted to get some of these answers
I am suppose to be working BUT here i am listening to Corey again,.
We need Jonathon Davis next!!
yessss!
Such a great interview, love that you guys brought up the early days of slipknot and Corey talking about Anders.
Funny little #Slipknot story/winning parent moment. My daughter who was 4 going on 5 at the time, Now 13, was asked what she wanted for her b day....
She said, and i quote, "I want fingers in my eyes".... What a fucking feeling that gave me. Wouldnt have been anything without you @CoreyTaylor. Thanx for the memories
This is one of the best interviews of Corey and I’ve seen them all. Great questions.
That “oh yea” after the a lot of money question at the beginning had me crying
Such a humble human being why I love him so much
My literally god he is so modest and amazing what a guy ❤
the best!
Being in Iowa, Des Moines listening to Corey say his from Iowa it’s just the best damn thing 🤘😎
My fave moment related to Corey and my sons will forever be when they realized the "spongebob dude" was ALSO the singer for Slipknot hahahahaha
@rebeca Hello, how are you doing? It is nice meeting you here.
Man !! Everything i watch with corey further concerts my love for him and his music ❤ could listen to his voice forever 🫠
@brittany Hello, how are you doing? It is nice meeting you here.
Good to see thee ol' NECK still kickin it!
Corey is amazing. I gave him a Lyft ride back in 2018 in Boston.
I can tell you why us maggots come to shows. Slipknot, iowa, and vol.3. I was 9 years old when I herd slipknot. I was up way to late, and I saw the video for my plauge. Those albums did something for so many people. Thats why we still show up.
I’ve been listening to and following Slipknot since 2000. They are one of my top five favorite bands of all time. If I come across an interview with Corey, I always check it out.
After almost 25 years of being a die hard fanboy, I have come to know one simple truth about Corey Taylor: That dude is 100% genuine and authentic. There isn’t one thing about him that’s fake. He and I differ greatly on our political views, however there are very few people (if any) in this world that I admire more than him. He’s a good man. One of my favorite lyricists and singers of all time from any genre of music. His words have helped me through some hard times, and continue to do so to this day.
I’m grateful that I have seen Slipknot several times over the years; and two of those times were with the original lineup between 2000 and 2002; when the only two records they had released were their self titled and Iowa. I was 18 at the time, and I will NEVER forget those shows. Those are memories that will stay with me until the end.
Cheers y’all
🤘🏻😈🤘🏻
This is a great interview!
An absolute gem of a regular dude who's also an icon! 🙏❤️
I love how he is just a REGULAR damn human like the rest of us. Now that’s down to EARTH! 🤘🔥
His voice peaking the mic is so cool hahaha!!!😊
I love Corey Taylor one for slipknot and for being homble. Much love corey you got me through some super hard times, and you were the one person not to judge me. Love you even if you never read this. Bless you and your family. Much love ❤
yes, the legend! love his focus at answering just like on-stage, wow
Love Corey since 2000!! ❤
I love that Corey said "Tech", like we all do. Corey, Tech and Jelly would be another dream come true.
Slipknot is bigger then all the members. I found Slipknot in 2002 After my father died. Was my first Dive into rock/Metal. i was 12 when he passed. 10 days after my birthday. Im a bit choked up saying this but i dont think i would be here if it wasn't for them and their music. I was able to vent out so much with Iowa and Subliminal through music that i couldn't voice. For 21 years I've listened to Slipknot Daily or every other day. I have never met them. Ive seen them live with all OG members, But never met them but through their music i feel like they are family. I cried when Paul died. And All Maggots old and new. Its special because we are a family, we may never have met, but i feel like if i see someone make a slipknot post and im feeling down i could message them and they would give a fuck because they are also a maggot. Slipknot is more then just Music in a way. My gram passed 3-4 months ago and slipknot is my Bandage SLipknot is what gets me through it. from falling to deep in the dark to those spaces where you could make a permanent choice for temp problems. They are my Absolute Favorite band and always will be.
I love that Corey Taylor is such a humble guy. Loved this podcast. 🖤

You can often tell a good singer by their speaking voice.
I remember watching Slipknot show on you tube from Zagreb in 2009 and i was like "fuck it"And to this day i miss Slipknot in Croatia
This brought back memories of when I was first getting into heavy music, this was an album that made me fall in love with slipknot and metal in general, it was so beautifully done and has inspired my playing even until this day 😊
What an awesome interview and Corey is so intelligent and well spoken.
This was such a good podcast I'm such a Corey fan and him and nergal omg i could die happy 😂
@evanna Hello, how are you doing? It is nice meeting you here.
First podcast I've listened to from beginning by to end in a long time. Anytime this dude talks I stop what I'm doing. My favorite band of all time. For sure.
“Some people aren’t worth the skin they’re printed on” fuck man that’s a good line!
Icon on a budget.. 🤣🤣 Corey is so funny and down to earth 😊
Corey Taylor is no doubt one of my all time favorite rock stars of all time. And just artists in general. And you can tell he really loves music , period.
I've seen Slipknot 5x and saw him in Stone Sour here in Nashville and he said he was sick so bear with him and he still killed it
This was such a great perfect interview, Awesome
@carolyn Hello, how are you doing? It is nice meeting you here.
I was at that Birmingham show in the UK - great show!
Corey is one of the most eclectic artists and fucking awesome. Guy throws his whole heart into everything. He's vulnerable and not afraid to show it. #realman
This is a really really great interview Zach
Thank you Corey, for making my childhood better with your music. I remember being 12-14 just being a total maggot. Slipknot forever. 🤘🏼
28 years old, I still love delving into his music from time to time.
I saw them last February with Wage War… holy sh!t. They were really big when I was too young to go to concerts, so I wasn’t missing this one 😂 it was freaking awesome! So much 🔥! Now I’m not missing a show within a few hundred miles of my house.
It just still blows me away that he is from Iowa. I live in Iowa. After listening to him, I love him that much more. And after listening to him, he has that mid-west laid back attitude. Wonder what he is like if you meet him on the street.
he was super polite and thankful for us all being there at a meet-and-greet the other day! i know that's not 'on the street', but he spent a lot of time talking with everybody about how he's missed playing shows in our area (Huntington, WV) and wants to come back with Slipknot (he last played here with Stone Sour about 12 years ago, and has never played with Slipknot).
Fabulous interview. Corey comes across as a very level headed, likeable individual
From being abused to rising and being the person that is today (with its downs); amazing
Corey with the AIC FACELIFT T-Shirt! Didn’t think I could line this dude more than I already did! Good shit brother! 🤘🏼🤘🏼
LOVE Corey Taylor all of his music and all his books cant wait to get my corey taylor pop figures and my In Search of Darkness dvd and poster signed by him some day Probably will never happen but its on my bucket list HAHA A True ICON!!!!
How am I absolutely infatuated with this man that's actually the age of my mom?😭 I could listen to him forever, what a man and what a mind!
You didn’t do this. And I wish more interviewers did. Please talk about the new members. Give them their flowers and respect. .5, we are not your kind, and the end so far are great albums too. No one can replace what Joey and Paul added during the first 4 albums. All the new members are killing it.
I actually met Corey Taylor at a Southwest terminal at Dallas Love Field. He was very cool and took a pic with me.
CT is my hero, has been for a long time. At a meet and greet about 12 years ago, I clammed up and couldn't tell him what he meant to me. We took our picture and had a nice chat, then he moved down the line. My wife, unbeknownst to me, took her Meet and Greet time to tell Corey what he means to me. It's one of the most beautiful things she ever did for me. After listening to my wife, Corey turned and walked back to me. He gave me a giant bearhug and whispered "it's people & fans like you that help keep me going when times are rough. Thank you", and he walked away. I held myself together until I got home, then I cried like a baby. Corey Taylor just thanked me? Like, what the fuck?! Amazing moment I'll never forget.
Good questions, guys. Much love from a maggot. 🤘🏻
I’m from Iowa and love Slipknot!!
