- Hello Ladies & Gentlemen and as always, thank you for watching!!! Today, is short, simple, and sweet. No injuries, thank Heaven. A passenger car swerved to miss a truck that had been abandoned facing the wrong way on the county road!! Very fortunate for all involved. I take our Peterbilt 337 with a Miller Industries Century LCG-12 to recover the passenger car out of the ditch and tow it back to the shop. Ethan bring in our Ford F650 with a LCG10 bed to remove the pickup. Working together, we tag team this job for rapid scene clearance. This one is for all my rollback (tilt tray) fans. I hope you all enjoy this video!!! Thanks for watching and God bless!!!

My common analogy, "there are many ways to reach 10". I could have approached this (any) job several different ways. The approach method is important, but more important is achieving the desired result, safely.
Again, a very special thank you to all my viewers, family, and friends who having taken the time to show their support. May God bless and protect you all!!!

It's almost like you done this before. e.g. "driving" the car up onto the ramp. I appreciate the elegance of the efficiency of movement and effort. It's a joy to watch.
Nice to see a straightforward recovery for a change! No power lines, no rain, not in the dark, not even a Pratt fall. Just line it up and winch it on. Greetings from Leicestershire UK
Ron, I've been quietly admiring your videos from afar. I am a truck driver myself and find myself secretly hoping I breakdown close to Scott City just so I can hire you to do the job. Keep up the great videos and thank you for doing a great job for us.
You make it all look so easy, the signature of a true expert. Well done guys, plus the respect you show to all those around you.
Great work, at 6:14 I love the pistol you got on the passenger seat
Love seeing you work with your son. Can't believe he has grown up so much since one of the first videos I ever saw him in, Move over Slow Down. Have a great day from Queensland Australia
Nah, the condition of that pickup ain't REMOTELY suspicious. Can't begin to imagine why it was just left there....
Another job well done, Ron & Ethan. Always enjoy watching you two work together.
Sped and accuracies, no wonder you all are probably the number one first call down there. Awesome job!
Great video, Ron! Love the interactions and the great relationship between you and the officers and troopers involved.
Unlike the last one this was a simple, easy chore. Well done, Ron and Ethan.
Could you have picked the ranger up with the wheel lift and avoided tying up two units?
He probably could have but from what the trooper said one one was going to impound one was going to district because it was abandoned
They were going two different places. The truck was going to custody of the county police and the sedan to the state police, or maybe the other way, I already forgot. Apparently there was more there than just someone going off-road, since these would usually go to Ron's lot until claimed by the owner or their insurer. You can either tie up one truck to make two drops or two trucks to make one drop each. If the destinations are close to each other, the first option is probably better, but if they are not close, using two gets both units available again faster for new work. Murphy's Law would decree that one impound lot us one direction from the work site and the other is in the opposite direction.
My thought too, but I guess it's all good experience for Eithan.
Seems like it, I’ve literally never seen him use the wheel lift (on a rollback) in any of his videos
I think it might have to do with not knowing the condition of the vehicles and waiting to see them sending a nother unit will take time. Also I think dealing with the local government, states and possibly having a contract, they may make more money with having 2 trucks. I know it was like that where I worked
Always enjoy your videos. Ethan is doing great. BE SAFE OUT THERE.
I'm glad that Ethan likes working with you on your crew he is a great worker and I love watching your videos
You all did a GREAT JOB RON. Hope you all are keeping cool during this hot & humid weather.
Another great job, Ron. Always looking forward to the next video. Also, I feel for you Ron, I hate being short too, 5'2". the only advantage is in the fall....closer to the ground!
The Ranger sitting on the Wrong side of the Road was a Strange one ??
Tanks Ron.
Mike M.
Everytime I see those j hooks it reminds me of the movie I know what you did last Summer awesome job to Ron as always
“I just think I’ll park in the ditch. Sadly, don’t have 4 wheel drive, so Ron can rescue my car. “ Great job, Ron. 19:33 Stay safe. Best Wishes Roy W UK
Interesting advert on Ethan's t-shirt. Standard Mid-West care and attention.
Man, you guys, made it,Look it easy!! Hello from Metro Detroit!! G
Well Ron taught me something new today. 17:30. I’ve been used ratcheting boomers for years and never thought to tighten or snug them up with a drill. Thank you sir. That little tidbit is going to save me some time.
Note that these are not the normal ratchets but ones with dual operations, by drill or by hand via handle.
Awesome job as always. Watching you we all could learn from you. Thank you for sharing with. Stay safe and God bless you all 👍🏻
Good job guys. Enjoyed seeing the rollbacks working for a change.
Great Friday so another Ron video
It's funny Ron Pratt you get frustrated being short and i get frustrated being tall the pros and cons of it all
That one officer in tan with mustache looks like officer mac from the super troopers movie. Lol.
Ron, you've got that great old fashioned quality: Hustle. No time wasted, but you're also careful. No wonder law enforcement calls you for recovery work.
Nice quick easy snatch. You had me thinking after you got the Peterbilt lined up that I could have done the job from there. That's the way it's supposed to go.
I loved my dads Ranger - nice little truck
Good job ,, Ron... I like your grunts and groans,,,
Cheers from Vietnam
Good morning from Southeast South Dakota
Ron, you and Ethan did an awesome job two for the price of one keep doing a Videos
Good work by all of you!!!
Wow that was quick guys...! Tag team is right...! Ron the way you were moving around there so quick was admirable! I bet you have a good BP with all that hustling you do...! Good video guys...!
Ethan fist bumping the officer/deputy, such a good inage
Ron you need to get a Miller M100, that truck is a beast.
Believe me, I would LOVE to have one. Unless all my viewers want to "chip-in" and help me purchase one, I don't think I'll be owning one any time soon. They start at $1.5M and go up from there. Everyone is more than welcome to do some "crowd source funding"....LOL. Thanks for watching and God bless.
Thanks again Ron for another great video. Thanks. God bless you and your family 🙏
Wow a quickie! I was expecting hour long video. Thanks for another great video Ron n Ethan.
I do like the longer videos, but I see why this one was a short one with getting the county highway open or could be a township road. Not totally sure
That Ranger didn't look like it was in too bad of shape body looks good at least
Good morning everyone
I kept waiting for something to go wrong. I am glad it went smoothly. Nice when a plan actually works!
Enjoyed watching you and the team work
You can tell a great leader. He’s patient with the crew and very respectful!
You made that look easier than it actually was i did some towing myself but never had a job like this
A neat job as always🎉😊
Thank you so much for the video please post more videos a week God bless 🙏❤️
I REALLY LIKE THE EAGLE ON THE DASH
man whiskey bottles all over that truck. driver's probably sleepin' it off in the field and will be very surprised to wake up to no truck!
Yeah that’s Right communication is the key to any safe recovery✝️🇺🇸
Wish yall were local so i could apply! It's rare seeing a company have all the proper equipment and taking time to properly secure a vehicle! Id be fired if i did half of all that for "wasting time" lol
Quick and easy recovery Ron God Bless
Great recovery’s, thanks for sharing.
Nothing like a father and son tag team
Awesome job guys 😊glad no injuries. Enjoy the weekend
Tag teaming is the only way to do those jobs. Great and awesome job there Ron. God bless you guys.
Nice looking Merc that was in the ditch....
Great stuff as always!! Keep up the good work!! 👍
Hey Ron love the videos mostly with y'all's rotors and everything❤❤❤❤
Great job and working with the Officers
Great Job Fellows quick and safe !
One truck , two cars , double the money
Hello Ron nice work 👍👍👍👍☺️
"Awww I hate being short.." Believe me Ron, being 6'10 is no cake walk either.. The amount of pain I'm in any time I bend over or sleep wrong or lift anything or turn wrong.. The scary one is when I turn and my legs suddenly decide they don't need to work anymore. I'd definitely take struggling to reach things and a decent back and easily found clothes and being able to fit in any vehicle over being tall and in pain constantly.
I hear you. Being long in the legs is also a pain here also. The legs on cheaper jeans are out of the picture as the will be around my ankles. Levi's only basically. I am cross that the denim is getting thinner and thinner.
Being what I tell people who ask that I am 5’-21“, I can certainly relate to your situation!
There’s a number of times when being Ron’s height would be an advantage!
He doesn’t have to worry about: being hit by ceiling fans, running into low hanging automatic door closers, low archways in certain restaurants or homes, getting things from the bottom shelf in stores, fitting into any vehicle or airplane or bus seat without problems, standing near the front at an outdoor event like a parade, and numerous other things!
I certainly do enjoy my height at many times but when I have to go into a crawlspace underneath my cottages, sometimes it can be a bit of a squeeze.
Another one that could have been a bad one. Good job Ron and Ethan!
It looks like a Chigger factory there. Hope you have a GOOD repellent.
As always great recovery work! Stay safe and hydrated.
I bet you wise all jobs were like this one. No injuries, no damage and straight pulls. Simple and clean.
That arrow board looked really good up there.
Easy pesie, nice once in awhile, take it when you can get it. They won’t all be easy.
After that combine this was a walk in the park.
Keep up the good work love watching you on RUclips
Very good team work you and Ethan
Drive there, do the pick up, drive back to the shop. Standard MidWest operation.
Great job as always Ron
Another great recovery, thumbs 👍 up
I always enjoy your videos. keep it up and be safe.
Really/really helps when you have the keys to these vehicles--what with the steering and transmission. I Always wished the police would instruct the drivers to leave the keys in the vehicles first thing, if possible. Make your job easier and safer-
This is why I love a flatbed. Snatch the car on the bed and back up to the truck on the wheel lift
When the officer said troop had one and county had the other I was thinking they were impounds and would need to go to the respective yards. I guess this wasn’t the case.
Hey Ron that was pretty much a tag team tow. 😂 lol. Good job. Cool video. 👍❤️
Were is mike have not seen him in a while he was a good thinker at all he job
Great job guys!
Well done ron...perfect job 😊👍🏼
Nice in and out
@ Ron Pratt I like your videos and I like your tow truck you have and the semi truck with the truly’s trailer and I have rode in a tow truck before with my cousin Dalton who is my cousin Annette son I will him you are a good friend and tow truck driver Ron Pratt
I have seen so many tow companies use that same hook up on the underbody then tightened the chain so tight it rips the underbody I'm glad you don't do that
Love to have a dollar for every double tow I've done- including recoveries.. I'd have enough to buy LUNCH anyway.. ha ( seriously I've done a TON of these.. love it-- miss it.. ) Love your vids..
Good to see the "old Ford " again.
being short is a God given blessing; I guess it's up to you to figure it why.
Ron "I hate being short" yes Ron in our family we definitely feel your pain 🤣. No one tall here
It never ceases to amaze me how precisely and professionally you guys do a really tough job. The communication with officers is always respectful and it always make for guys getting the job done right the first time and in the quickest time possible. I keep you and your crew in my prayers all the time because I know how many thoughtless people are on the road.
I honestly think the respect is mutual, as Ron is so well known by the depts (I'd be shocked if anyone on any didn't know who he was lol), and they KNOW he'll get the job done right, quickly, AND safely, as well as work as a team with them.
@@corycollier😊
Anybody else see the .45 on the Pete’s seat lol Nice piece Ron
Great Video
Nice job guys be safe out there 👍
I'm glad to see Ron's finger seems to be back in use after the last few videos
I saw you "bug spraying" your jeans--- if you carry a peeled onion in your pcoket it'll do the same thing.. :)
Great video.
I see so few standard recoveries anymore. You do plenty. It is the Out west guys that seem to not do them or they just don't show them. Maybe if you worked around the Ozarks you would be doing some Off-Road recoveries. Most of your work is on flat land.
Man. Those remotes come in handy
Enjoyed the video Ron 😊
Wow keys in the car amazing, miracles does happen it seems :)
