Yes. I that's why I threw my coco black in the garbage. The lanolin is wonderful but, that curly pudding it's flaking forever. No one wants flakes all over them while at work, at a party/wedding, etc.

Hi Sis, I know this is from 2 years ago, but I'm so glad I ran across your video. Not only did you save me money (because I hate flakes too), but I learned that I need to put a thick oil under the curling cream or custard so it won't be crunchy. Thank you so much. God bless.

I LOVE your definition and volume with these products. I make my own flax seed gel and HOOOONEY--The flakes can be offensive! I have found that if I put a butter or oil on top before it dries, it's laes crunchy and flaky, but still has PLENTY of hold. Maybe reversing the oil/styler might prevent the flaking🤷🏽♀️.
I’m currently under the dryer with it again. Hopefully it doesn’t flake! Or at least not as much

That true about the flaking. The first person I saw used this product was Only One Jess and said she has flakes as well but the product defined her hair well.
I was hoping using the oil under the custard would prevent flaking but nope. Smh

Very interesting! Lanolin is supposed to be an excellent... Moisturizer? Sealant! It's ability to seal in moisture is amazing. But. It can be a very irritating ingredient. If you have a wool allergy, watch out. Also, I've found that it can lead to break outs because of how heavy it is so I try to keep it off/away from my face.

I was allergic to the chemical's in the jerry curl and I couldn't get one again, so I used regular hair grease and water and I would plat my hair and when I took it down I had beautiful coils in my hair ,but I màde small plats and still today I still do my hair the same way. And as a black woman I have to say all black people can do the same if you have a healthy moisturized condition head of hair this method works for all of us. Try it.

Flaking can be an issue of ingredients reacting, but tighter cuticles can also experience flaking when products don't absorb as well. Are you high or low porosity?

Yes the flaking was out of control!! I was fooled at first because I did finger coils with it and didn’t try to separate them til 2 days later and it was a blizzard 😭😭 if you can find a way around the flaking, we’ll be cooking with gas then! 😂😂

I remember whenever I was in juvenile lock up and I went into my room for the first time and I seen brown stuff all over the wall and I instantly assumed it was poop. I was freakin out. They had a line in the room that you weren't allowed to cross without asking the security guards but I went out there so ready to argue 😂 acting like I knew exactly what I was talking about went right over that line like I was bad ...went right up to the guard and When I told her there's shit on the wall she started laughing at me 😫 I got twice as mad. The first thing she asked me was if it's shit why is there no smell 😂 I was stumped .... she pulled out the gel that they allowed us to use and said: you mean this shit? 🥱😂 I looked so dumb. And right after we sat down and played uno and she did my hair 💕 when you showed the color and texture it reminded me of that day.

So… I’ve been growing my hair since covid hit in 2020 and the braider that I used has doubled their prices, plus they used a lot of heat in my hair which I noticed had stretched my hair in the front. I want to just wear my hair out without looking crazy. With shrinkage accounted for, I’m about at chin length on the front and sides and past the shoulders in the back with an under cut. I heard you say that this product is crunchy, do you think spraying a layer of thin oil on it after it dries would help with the crunch and flakes? I have the product in my Amazon cart ($38 🥴) and I’m worried about pulling the trigger
