- Vladimir Putin said there'll be no peace in Ukraine until Russia is good and ready. The Russian president was taking questions from the public and journalists at his end-of year press conference in Moscow.
Putin also said Russia currently had enough fighters and that there was no need for another wave of mobilization. The Russian president - who is running for re-election in March - canceled last year's press conference, amid Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

Ukraine stayed neutral and it was recorded in its constitution when Russia annexed Crimea and illegally entered its military units in Donbas in March-April 2014. Ukraine made a Dec to depart from neutrality in October 2014. On the other hand, Russia doesn’t dare to attack a tiny Estonia with population less than 1.5 million. Why? Because Estonia is a NATO member. What did Russia do to Finland when Finland promptly decided to join NATO? Nothing. Ukraine is paying extremely heavy price for getting rid of its nuclear weapons and trusting that Russia’s signature on international agreement was made in good faith.
