    I am very satisfied with this product! Very easy to use. I just bought a new truck and was not used to the size and turn radius, so i accidentally kissed the side of my house on the left side of front bumper. This product removed all the paint that was transferred and made the scratches nearly invisible. I’m very happy! The day i scratched my new truck i couldn’t even sleep but now my mind is at ease!

      This isn’t a permanent fix right? Have you used this product again or..?

    • @MirandaDetailing
      @MirandaDetailing  3 года назад +3

      Hi. When using any type of compounding, which this products is, it actually removes or levels the clear coat by a few microns. So it is a permanent fix because the clear coat is leveled to the depth of the scratch.
      Imagine sanding a scratch in the surface of a block of wood. You use sand paper to level the surrounding wood to the depth of the scratch, thereby “removing” the scratch. What’s actually happening is your removing the surrounding wood around the scratch and not the scratch itself.
      I hope that makes sense and makes it easier to understand scratches in car paint.

    Just used this to get a scuff out of the bumper of my Abarth, it was amazing, the scuff is totally gone. Just did by hand using a microfibre applicator pad. Added a coat of Turtle Wax To Max Wax and it looks amazing. Was gonna pay someone to fix it for me and in about 10 minutes I had fixed it.

    I've used this product and Meguiar's Ultimate Compound for removing scratches and swirls, and I have to say that the Meguiar's Ultimate Compound did a far better job with removing scratches and swirls. I did however use the Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions Polish with SiO2 wax, and it was an amazing compliment. Great review! I wish I had a 3" buffer myself, but baby steps. In the middle of a move and my wife is giving me the look...

      I stay away from meguiars because everywhere I use that yes it's a beautiful finish and everything looks brand new and beautiful but after 24 hours it has white haze everywhere leading me to wet sand all over again to remove it. I'm going to use this turtle thing and see if it's better

    • @MirandaDetailing
      @MirandaDetailing  4 месяца назад +1

      That’s really weird. Why would you need to wet sand again if it’s just a haze. Simply repolish it properly. You may be doing something incorrectly. It’s must likely not the product, but the process. How exactly are you using it?

    • @pavy415
      @pavy415 4 месяца назад +1

      @@MirandaDetailing wet sanding is the only way to remove it nothing else works. And I'm just applying it like everyone else here does and it does look amazing and brand new after I apply it but after 24 hours it gets all white and hazy. I bought the other product yesterday and I will try with this and see if I still have that problem

    • @MirandaDetailing

      @pavy415 I didn’t get any using at all after using mine. Ty hats why I think it may have been used incorrectly.
      Did you apply by hand or polisher? What pad did you use? Was the haze just micromarring on the paint or was it a film or the product?

  • @terrybleterry
    @terrybleterry 3 года назад +2

    there's like a hundred videos of sanding down the scratch and i thought "aren't we doing damage to the clear coat and if we are, isn't it there for a reason?" thanks for addressing that at the end.

    • @MirandaDetailing
      @MirandaDetailing  3 года назад +1

      Yes that very true! However it’s interesting that wet sanding is less stressful on the clear cut then compounding. Compounding and polishing too much also heats up the paint and can cause damage underneath. Wet sanding in many cases is actually less damaging and removes less clear coat then compounding excessively. Pretty cool huh?!

    it's not because of the product that you couldn't completely removed the scratch. I think what happened is that the paint in your car is been polished and wax about 10 million times so the paint is really dry. But in a new car or a car with fresh pain I think this product would completely removed a mile scratch no problem. Thanks for the tutorial! GREAT JOB! You are my favorite car guy, no question!

      Interesting idea. The paint being “dry”. Usually waxing and polishing hydrates the paint more so, not dries it out. Plus this panel was repainted so it’s not original paint. Curious to know why you think waxing and polishing dries the paint out?

    And if i want to use Turtle wax hs ceramic Black spray coating efterwards. Do i have to wait 24hours before spray it on? if the answer is yes. Does the car have to be hidden under some roof for rains and maybe outsides dust?

    • @MirandaDetailing
      @MirandaDetailing  2 года назад +1

      Hi. So Turtle Wax recommends waiting 24h if you can. It’s best if it’s undercover or garaged for that time period. But as a business we never did that for those products. We just wait about 30 minutes and apply the second product. If you do get rain it mess with the results. But dust can just be blown off and then you can apply the second product.

    Nice video👍🏼

    • @MirandaDetailing
      @MirandaDetailing  4 года назад +3

      Hi Welcome!
      No, it wouldn't make a difference....In fact, the panel was washed and clayed before I demoed this process.
      Clay Baring simply removes the attached surface grit that can not be removed in the normal wash process. It makes the paint smooth. However, for scratch removal, the scratch will still be removed even if the paint has some gritty bits still attached. sometimes the polishing process will also remove the attached bits. But you don't want to gunk up pads with the contamination that may be on the paint, you want to work on a smooth clay barred surface.
      Hope that answers your question, if not feel free to ask further questions. 😎👍

      I tried it all sorts of ways. It works just fine. But my vehicle’s was repainted poorly and is very soft so it mars up easily. I’ve used this on other vehicles with great results. So depending on the situation it may need gentle or more aggressive application, either by hand or machine.

    Actually, two of the pictorials on the front of the tube shows glass or plexiglass. Only the picture in the middle shows a car body, so I think this might be better suited for glass or plexiglass. The black picture showing "Swirl Marks" could also be plexiglass. Oddly enough, it doesn't say anywhere on the tube what it's specifically for, which I thought was a bit dumb.

    • @MirandaDetailing

      I’m sorry that doesn’t make sense. Each picture clearly shows car paint not plexiglass. However polishes ad compounds made for car paint can also be used to polish plastic, like headlights and taillights.

    • @MirandaDetailing
      @MirandaDetailing  4 года назад +2

      Hi. What exactly do you mean let it sit for few minutes? It’s meant as a polishing compound that has abrasives in it to gently level the surface and remove the scratch. To remove a scratch you have to level the clear coat around to the same deepness as the scratch therefore reducing the light refracting back to your eyes. It removes the light refracting effect. That’s actually what you are seeing when you see a scratch on clear coat. I hope that helps a see your question. 😎👍🏼
