Here's a story for you. My best friend of 15yrs passed away unexpectedly back in 2021 and we played every single WWE game without fail up until his passing. After he passed, I knew there was NO WAY I would be able to play WWE2K22 & I was right. I booted it up and couldn't get past the title screen, so I deleted the game. It will NEVER be the same without him, but I intend to keep creating him in future titles forever.

Undisputed 2010 is one of my fondest gaming memories. I was 17, and my parents had just lost our house and we had to stay in a one room motel for a month until we could find a new place. Undisputed 2010 and my PS3 was literally the only thing I had to help get my mind off the entire situation.

Loved the story with your dad. Growing up my older brother wasn't really a gamer like I was, he never played much with me but I had younger cousins that would play games with me including all of the older wrestling games and @nba2k. Unfortunately in 2002 my brother was sentenced to 13 years in prison which teenage me was devasted because I lost my best friend. Throughout the years I owned and played every 2k, eventually getting older and starting a family at the age of 24. Fast forward to 2015 my brother is finally released and life was good, 2002-2015 technology wise is a huge difference and he was kind of overwhelmed at first but eventually understood and got used to things. We were able to do a lot of things together for either the first time or it's been a while such as hoop, drink a beer together, even something simple as eating at a restaurant. One day he came over and I was playing 2k and he thought it was an actual live game (xbox one) and we ended up just talking about how video games changed since we were kids (1984,1986). I ended up explaining the controls and we played a few games and he was terrible of course lol but I kept it close because I didn't want to discourage him and him not want to ever play again because it may be too difficult. So anytime we played I kept it close or would let him win. Funny thing is he never knew it and would just talk crazy shit to me and I always let it ride because it made him happy lol The reason why NBA2k16 will always be near and dear to me because it is the only Nba2k I was able to play with my older brother before he unfortunately made even more bad life choices which cost him his life on September 3, 2016 three weeks before my 30th birthday. I love hearing the personal stories you tell in these videos, and I appreciate that you include them. For me, my favorite gaming memory/memories are all the countless times I bonded with my grandmother over Super Mario World. If I couldn’t beat a stage or a boss I would have her beat them for me. I knew I could go to her because she had her own file on the cart too, and she was insanely good at that game. To this day she’s one of the best Mario players I’ve ever seen, and she wasn’t even a gamer in any way. She just whooped ass at Mario games. But thinking back to those memories is why Super Mario World is my favorite video game of all time, and why I’m so grateful I still have that cart with her save on it today now that she’s no longer here with me. Any time I want to I can boot it up and play from where she left off for a stage or two, and I wouldn’t trade that for anything. I always think of her when I play that game now, and I smile. Thank you for giving me a small place to share that bit of love for my grandma, and thank you for the content you make. Your hard work shines through, and we all appreciate you for it. Keep doing what you do ✌🏻
@@nickyj-s1j the career modes are definitely bad. Here’s a heartfelt memory for me. Playing WWF No Mercy when it first came out. We left the game on the main menu while eating and after 5 minutes my dad (who passed away) says “DAMN IS THAT ALL THAT GAME DOES?! ALL IVE HEARD OVER AND OVER IS ‘DIGGITY DOG SOCKO’!” So I had to mute the TV.
My step dad wasn't always the most outwardly loving, but NHL 2007 really brought us together. He'd kick my ass in the game, but eventually I started getting the upper hand. We'd play no goalies and score 40 goals a piece. Those old memories always bring a smile to my face
I got a story for ya Ian! I was in the 12th grade and a buddy of mine (Matt was his name). we've been playing WWE games for the past 4 or 5 years, and all those years, I always kicked his ass, eating numerous losses did Matt, until one faithful afternoon on a Sunday, Last Man Standing Match Cena (Me) VS Orton (Matt) we legitimately went at it for over an hour, his dad was just sitting in my driveway for the past ten minutes while we battled on, neither would give in or quit and after numerous RKO's I couldn't make the count of 10 and he won, he humbled me, I properly hugged him and shook his hand. At the point we were at, we were exhausted. It took all energy out of us, but it's my favorite gaming memory I have ❤
I remember having some friends over for a game night. We played some Pain on PS3, some Dynasty Warriors 6 Empires, and then we tried UFC Undisputed 2010. I had played it for weeks, completing the career mode (on the lowest difficulty, I don't enjoy a challenge :P). I still feel I had the controls under... control, but as soon as we booted up an exhibition match my buddy pushed 1 button, kicked me straight in the head, knock out. I suggested we play Smackdown in stead.
the personal stories are always my favorite parts of 616 videos, I have two: 1. Every copy of UFC Undisputed 2010 I’ve ever bought in my life has been second hand, and none of them have ever even booted to the startup screen. I’ve used multiple PS3s/360s and it’s always the same. Absolutely blows my mind, I only got to play it at a GameStop demo kiosk, I believe I used Forrest Griffin. 2. I remember playing SmackDown HCTP one time with my best friend about a year before I moved away from home, and we had the craziest ALL COM ladder match ever. It was Stacy Keibler vs. Chavo Guerrero and I swear to God it went on for over an hour. If I can remember correctly Stacy ended up winning the match. Absolutely legendary moment for me.
The thing I enjoy about your videos is that there’s no gimmick, no flashy stuff, it’s down to earth and it’s like a friend telling me about a video game.
This was another fantastic part to the History of UFC Video Games😁. Hearing all of your wonderful personal memories with these games, is how I felt with the WWE games growing up, as they were my everything to me, as well as the Star Wars franchise. As a kid, those 2 franchises meant the world to me, and experiencing it all with my brother is something I’ll cherish forever. Hearing the same for you with these games warmed my heart, and it’s those stories that make you my favorite channel on RUclips😊. Thank you for this awesome video, Ian, and I hope to try these games out one day😊👍. Hope you and the DanDans continue to have amazing lives❤️.
Somehow, I missed the first two parts of this series, so I just rapid fire binged all three while working. I started watching UFC because of TUF coming on after Raw and it having Ken Shamrock on it. I kept watching UFC because of Chuck Liddell and then hundreds of others who would go on to replace him as my flavor of the week for the next, about, 13 years. I bought my first and (so far) only UFC game because of Brock Lesnar. Watching these has made me want to pull the 360 out of the closet and get back into my career mode play through. When I saw Casey Tatum in the last vid, I immediately thought, Oh snap, WCW, No Limit Soldiers, what a deep cut. Then I realized that was Chase Tatum... 17:52 When you said the date, I was expecting a cutaway to Kane. Good shit as always, man.
The first undisputed (and moving to Las Vegas at 11) made me wanna get into MMA and become a UFC fighter I later go onto train and become a BJJ champion and coach/corner some Amateur MMA bouts for Tuff n Uff all thanks to that game(and whatever older game I vaguely watched my dad and uncle's play)
So much nostalgia for this era. It was when I first got into UFC. My brother bought UFC Undisputed 2009 on a whim and I played the hell out of it, fell in love with it and then started watching UFC. That whole era of fighters was my SHIT, love all those guys. Forrest Griffin was my boy.
My heartfelt memory of a video game was from the same game. When i finally got a PS3, I would always go to Movie Gallery (Blockbuster is for scrubs). I remember this specific day, my parents were selling the house and had a showing that day, so we had to be gone. Riding in the back of my moms new Chevy Avalanche with my best friend, listening to Gorilla Zoe on the way to utilize my Movie Gallery platinum membership to rent some games. I went home to my freshly cleaned room (had to look good for the showing) with Smackdown vs Raw 2009, Legends of Wrestlemania, and Undisputed. We played the first 2 for maybe an hour, and spent the entire weekend going back and forth on UFC. The house was sold and that was the last time i saw him for almost 6 years. One of my best memories easily
Bro ur not alone I remember seeing the trailer for ufc undisputed 2 and saw Kimbo slice was going be in it blew my mind being a huge Kimbo fan boy at the time all I did was dream and count down the days to its release...BTW Excellent video once again!!!
Undisputed 3 is just one of those games that u always enjoy replaying after years of not playing and all that nostalgia and fond memories it brings back❤️💯🔥
Great video Ian! I personally think if Undisputed 3’s career mode had the overall presentation of Undisputed 2010’s, as great as the game already is, it’d be the greatest fighting game of all time.
I'm a short story writer and in in one saga I wrote I made my protagonist and antagonist agree that powers wise they were too evenly matched. They'd settle it once and for all in the octagon. No powers, no gimmicks, just fists and kicks. I went back and re-watched the entire UFC tourney you did to get a feel for how the fight should go.
Still remember being glued to my tv during that first season of Ultimate Fighter. Truly was my first exposure to UFC and MMA in general. Became a fan right then and there
My favorite memory of Undisputed 2009 was: Me, my brother and my step brother playing the demo on the Xbox 360. My step brother was Frank Mir and I was Brock Lesnar. First round, the match starts I run at my step brother as Lesnar and throw a super man punch as the first punch and KO’ed him in one shot. Me and my brother still laugh about it until this day.
Bro I love your retrospectives, especially on these games My friends and I spent countless hours killing each other in these games.some of my best memories
One story that will forever stick with me: Winter 1998 around Christmas time. Metal Gear Solid had been out for a few months and my brother had seen me play it a couple of times. But I could never find time between school to actually finish it. So this is back in the day of memory cards. so it snows a week or so before Christmas. School is closed. It was one of the most record setting blizzards of recent memory here in Richmond. Power goes out for all of the area minus a few pockets. My grandmother was the only one that had power. This year for Christmas we had family coming from all over (more so than usual) to my grandmother's We spent 4 whole weeks sharing 1 bathroom and shower with about 8 people. We were camped out in the den and living room. I had snuck my ps1 with me and I got a copy of Metal Gear solid for Christmas early to help keep me preoccupied. My brother was not the type to play these games and it was one of the few times where he did pick up and play some metal gear with his younger brother. To make this even more memorable: I was the only one who didn't come down with the flu during this entire ordeal lmao
As far as great memories? Resident Evil 4 on the Wii in college. We had 'surround sound' 2 speakers on either side of the couch. Have a few beers and play that game.
Another class video 🤟🏻 I got too many memories tied to video games to count. Like yours tho, they are tied to vivid recollections with members of my family.
When undisputed 3 came out my buddies and I would get together and have some drinks and have tournaments in my room. I think I had just graduated high school or so. Fun times.
I did the same thing your dad did😂. I was playing with my cousin but he rushed in and got knocked out. 2009 has one of my favorite soundtracks and it bring back good memories from my child hood i love undisputed era games
Don't think your slick, I heard that WCW vs the world music in the background! Honestly though im not a wrestling fan, but I remembered it through your videos. Thought I should point that out cause of the great content you still give us now. Also, seeing the amount of projects unlocked from the growing number of Patreon supporters make me happy. You deserve it man.✌️
Hey Ian love the video and the series please keep doing these game retrospectives I love them. Now for my personal gaming story about a year before my older brother tragically passed he got me motostorm and on the first race my brother and I were neck and neck towards the finish line and he held down boost too long and his car exploded but he's flying wreckage of a car made it to the finish line before I could man we had some great memories rip bro❤
Loved these games so much. I could not beat Jason Brilz no matter what I did in Undisputed 3. Everyone else was easy work. Jason Brilz will forever be my arch nemesis.
I remember the excitement for Undisputed 2009 this era was the peak of MMA games for me the undisputed games and EA MMA loved them all i know Undisputed 3 is the most loved but i didnt play that one much came out during a time i wasnt gaming much but Undispited 09,10 and EA SPORTS MMA were all games i loved and played a lot
Some of my favorite gaming memories nd friends came from staying up all night as a teen playing the undisputed series. And if it wasn't for 09 I would've never started training irl. Forever the best mma/ufc games to me.
I believe either the original Undisputed or its sequel had the Ultor logo straight out of the Red Faction and Saints Row games. It doesn't make sense at first but considering THQ published the UFC and Saints Tow games at the time, it makes sense to add it to the game.
So for video game story back in the early 2000’s when the N64 was still the big hotness my dad and mom still weren’t living together. So on weekends I would go with my dad and we would hangout at my uncles house with my older cousin. One of our pastimes was playing Mario tennis. We would turn it on after dinner around 6-7 and we wouldn’t go to bed till 2am. We would always have my dad and I against my uncle and cousin. Those were great times and I look back on them fondly
It isn't a video game, but I had a dream about a car. I had been looking for a newer Mustang. I had a dream about a fully loaded black one, and when I went to look for one, I found the exact one from my dream. She now sits in my driveway
UFC undisputed was special at the time. I just got my friends to start watching the UFC after us going to Wild Wings to watch Brock vs Frank Mir 1 and they were sold after that. All of us had that game and it was all we played for a while. I swear one of my friends bought every Affliction shirt he saw lol. I thought they looked terrible even back then. That soundtrack was bangin as well.
This is when I found out about the UFC, I was just about to enter high school, and I was/still am a fan of the WWE, and it was like a dream come true. Of course I knew Brock was fighting in the company at the time and I went to a Fye store and was playing with Brock against Frank Mir for the second time and this before I started practicing martial arts, and I told the fye employee Brock was gonna beat Frank Mir this time and he doubt me (which made sense) but guess who was right in the end! Haha but that was really fond memory
To be honest I'm not the biggest fan of UFC but because you're doing these retrospectives I'm definitely tuning in for them if you don't mind me asking are you still doing history of Halloween part 6?
Hilarious how I clicked on your video and hear your story about breaking your hand, I had a pretty much exact same breakage in my hand just a few weeks ago from playing football (soccer), although I went to the hospital that same night... I also continued to play video games with my cast on, was just about the only thing I could do 😅
This is a very nostalgic gaming series for me and my brothers we played this in a rough period in our childhood, and it was an awesome way to pretend to beat each other up. Even today I still play UFC with my older brother and we trade wins and losses in thousands of dog fights lol I used to work at a gas station that Michael Bisping would frequent and it just seemed kinda surreal to me
I used to love playing these games so much man. Now not so much but this history of was so good my dude👍 #ThanksForWhatYouDo #WeAreTheDanDans #MuchLove #HistoryOfUFC
if you wanna talk about memories related to games me and my cousins would play Tekken 5 all the time as kids we would split up into teams and randomize the selection. there was like 7 of us so it was just a blast and we still go back now and again when we get the chance
Man these games were such a blast! Great career mode PPV Mode was AWESOME and in the case of UFC Undisputed 3 Pride Mode was very cool even the fact that you can fight in Pride in the career mode.
So your dad is undefeated at UFC Undisputed? Pretty impressive that he only played once, somehow managed to get an immediate knockout, then stopped playing with a perfect 1-0 record.

The thing I enjoy about your videos is that there’s no gimmick, no flashy stuff, it’s down to earth and it’s like a friend telling me about a video game.
totally agreed, this was a great video
Undisputed 3 is probably the best mma game ever. Wild to think before the Undisputed games the best mma game was probably the Pride FC game.
I've been waiting for this, my favorite UFC games and my boi Ian covering it, you know it is gonna be a banger!!
Undisputed series is the GOAT
So much nostalgia for this era. It was when I first got into UFC. My brother bought UFC Undisputed 2009 on a whim and I played the hell out of it, fell in love with it and then started watching UFC.
That whole era of fighters was my SHIT, love all those guys. Forrest Griffin was my boy.
Another great video. Some of my favorite games. As a huge mma fan undisputed 3 will never be topped.
I hate xbox for not making these backwards compatible with the series x. I loved these games.
Fire video as always 🔥11:40 I found it funny that you were still kinda laughing 🤣
Undisputed 3 is just one of those games that u always enjoy replaying after years of not playing and all that nostalgia and fond memories it brings back❤️💯🔥
I honestly tried to give that game a chance twice. The controls just killed the game for me. Idk the ufc games for me always had difficult controls.
Virgin
Been waiting for this bad boy to drop! Loved the original 2 games!
Still remember being glued to my tv during that first season of Ultimate Fighter. Truly was my first exposure to UFC and MMA in general. Became a fan right then and there
Man these 3 games take me back! Thinks for another trip down memory lane bud.
Another great video, thank you again my man!
Bro I love your retrospectives, especially on these games My friends and I spent countless hours killing each other in these games.some of my best memories
I was waiting so long for this vid man😂
This was and still is (imo) the greatest era of UFC games.
18:53 I did that to my older cousin back in the day, he just started laughing n we never played UFC games together ever again😂😂
When they stay down after the replays I can’t help but say “you got knocked the fuck out, man!!!!” every single time.
As far as great memories? Resident Evil 4 on the Wii in college. We had 'surround sound' 2 speakers on either side of the couch. Have a few beers and play that game.
Dreamed about WCW Mayhem. The game was 100x better in my dream.
I got that one at a garage sale as a little kid. It was only a dollar and I still remember thinking I'd rather have had the dollar lol
Ian, I just bought ufc 3 undisputed. Great game. Had to come back to this video just to give you your flowers.
Another class video 🤟🏻
I got too many memories tied to video games to count. Like yours tho, they are tied to vivid recollections with members of my family.
Favorite part of the game for me was, setting a match against my created career fighters and seeing my creations do the moves i set ...Epic
When undisputed 3 came out my buddies and I would get together and have some drinks and have tournaments in my room. I think I had just graduated high school or so. Fun times.
Love your videos man love em
Undisputed 3 is the greatest MMA game ever. No doubt about it. Great video as always, Ian!
The amount of holes I burnt into the palms of my hands on 2010 getting out of submissions is ridiculous
me and my dad used to play need for speed shift always doing 20 lap races doing 10 laps each. thats a memory ill always remember that
LMAO Dana White meeting with the wrong EA branch and getting piss is hilarious and SO Dana.
I did the same thing your dad did😂. I was playing with my cousin but he rushed in and got knocked out. 2009 has one of my favorite soundtracks and it bring back good memories from my child hood i love undisputed era games
Awesome Video my Dude 🤘Makes me want to play this again! Hope U are doing Well! Whats Good Patches🤘💙
Keep up the great work Ian, cant wait to watch this 👍
Don't think your slick, I heard that WCW vs the world music in the background! Honestly though im not a wrestling fan, but I remembered it through your videos. Thought I should point that out cause of the great content you still give us now. Also, seeing the amount of projects unlocked from the growing number of Patreon supporters make me happy. You deserve it man.✌️
Im so happy i still have my copy of undisputed 3
The undisputed era was fun but i couldn't submit nobody in 2009 or 2010. GSP gave me nightmares because i can never beat him 😂. Great video
Another great video
UFC 2009 Matt brown still gives me nightmares
15:34 😂😂I swear I have the same type of broken hand story. I went through the exact same emotions lmao
UFC 2010 was the first ever MMA game i have ever played, an i did always played as GSP😅. Good old days are better than today.
Some of my favorite gaming memories nd friends came from staying up all night as a teen playing the undisputed series. And if it wasn't for 09 I would've never started training irl. Forever the best mma/ufc games to me.
@ 7:38 that was actually a pretty realistic Mario Yamasaki stoppage
19:03 I believe you. Me and a friend played and he knocked me out off the first punch he threw
Even today I still play UFC with my older brother and we trade wins and losses in thousands of dog fights lol I used to work at a gas station that Michael Bisping would frequent and it just seemed kinda surreal to me
Mannnn this video hit hard (pun intended) with nostalgia
The demo for ufc 2009 we loaded it up shogun vs chuck and god 8 hours later we had fought so many times
33:24
It's Shane Carwin. The man that went undefeated by going 12-0, all KO's and no one escaping the first round...Until Brock did.
30:30 Damn I was disappointed that they also couldn't get Jeremy St Ives to join Bas Rutten on commentary for UFC 3.
I used to love playing these games so much man. Now not so much but this history of was so good my dude👍

if you wanna talk about memories related to games me and my cousins would play Tekken 5 all the time as kids we would split up into teams and randomize the selection. there was like 7 of us so it was just a blast and we still go back now and again when we get the chance
THQ and Yuke's really shocked the system with the Undisputed era of UFC games!
Man these games were such a blast! Great career mode PPV Mode was AWESOME and in the case of UFC Undisputed 3 Pride Mode was very cool even the fact that you can fight in Pride in the career mode.
UFC Undisputed 2009 was the first game I bought, when I bought my PS3
I remember thinking I haven't seen such palm and controller damage since Mario Party 1. Game was so hype though!
So your dad is undefeated at UFC Undisputed? Pretty impressive that he only played once, somehow managed to get an immediate knockout, then stopped playing with a perfect 1-0 record.
2010 on psp was the best I swear. The career and game modes were so good.
Hey man Nice video, although your voice in the video sounds like Chael Sonnan 😂😂
