I love how Jon called his mother for help with the Russian alphabet, got yelled at on film, had to apologise and tell his mother he loved her and ended the call... and learned absolutely nothing about the Russian alphabet. In terms of productivity, that call was an absolute loss, but in terms of entertainment it was the best part of the video.

It’s so funny how Jon reacted how we did. At first, it was really promising, then we saw the price and now we’re like, “sorry, you want how much for it?”
This was also right after they released a slurry of lawsuits that shut down ROM/emulator sites and ended in tons of arrests. All to ensure mario kart 64 was only playable (digital stores of previous Nintendo consoles and handhelds shut down making many games literally unpurchasble) on their $300 handheld's subscription service. That shit stung.

@@knight3612 emulation isnt illegal at all and purchasing a game cartridge and ripping the rom from it, for personal use, is legal. So, technically any game you have a hard copy of you can legally own a rom of. Youre right, Nintendo can do whatever but pursuing legal action against people downloading 20 year old games is a terrible way to treat your fanbase.

For those who don’t know. The infinite warfare trailer is so hated because after two years of futuristic call of duty games with jet packs and laser guns, the fans were begging for the developers to go back to “boots on the ground” gameplay in a modern shooter. Instead they went even further into the future and set the game in space. They also forced people to buy a special edition to get the remaster to Cod 4 which wasn’t available separately. So people dislike bombed the shit out of it

It's sad, I've tried it out and it has some really cool concepts going for it, at least for a mobile game. But ehhh, the grind. Dear God, the grind and the rng and the P2W, oh my lord, and the fact that you get no ads is nice but instead you get like 500 pop-ups about microtransactions every second... The fact that RUclips removed dislikes because of “harassment” but then state that the owner of the video could still see the dislikes privately makes it abundantly clear that it was removed for reasons that weren’t that.
Not really. They let the creator know because it’s relevant information for feedback from your actual audience but removed it publicly so that people will be less incentivized to go mass dislike certain videos. They definitely did remove it because of harassment or dislike bombing imo. If not for that reason then why do you think they did?

If a video is spreading false information and the Dislikes are taken away people might waste there time or end up hurting themselves or others because of this false information

On that subject though I’ll just say that using public dislikes to help verify whether or not something you’ve heard in a RUclips video is credible isn’t a very good strategy, and it’s not like there was any lack of misinformation on here before the removal of the dislike button. I also seriously doubt that the removal of public dislikes will result in people “hurting themselves or others”.

Not only that but some videos misinformation does hurt others. Videos spreading lies about maps being okay or that hating LGBTQ+ people are actively harmful to people. So Dislikes are very useful and hiding them doesn't do anything but make things worse
If individuals didn't want to get their video disliked then they simply could have just turned it off. Not only that but most of the disliked videos are just from companions and advertisers

If parents are sticking their kids on RUclips and not monitoring what they're watching, their kids will end up watching fucked up shit eventually. No matter how much RUclips does to protect kids, some stuff will always slip through the cracks. I mean ISIS recruitment videos don't even always get removed in a timely matter so why the fuck do parents assume RUclips is safe? If parents can't be assed to make sure the video from a literal stranger on an anonymous public website is suitable for kids then the failure falls solely on them imo

Also, First Zombies Mode from IW Team - which was cringy ASF. Like Hasselhoff (As announcer) in Zombie Mode? Really? Also, it was bad in some sort a bad version of Treyarch Zombies.
And also - Weapon design was awful. Really awful. Like they even don't know how weapons CAN look in the Future, then in BO3 - you can imagine like "yea, IT IS(!) a Futuristic AK(-47) or AR(-15) Rifle, which can existed IRL in a future."
Also, some cons for Die Hard Fans and Pro-Esports people - problem with DECK system, more aggressive lootboxes, castrated Wallriding, and etc. Also, in release of the game - Graphics of the game was awful (later was patched out)
So in the end, like some say - "Concept was cool, Realization(?) of that/Real Game was bad"

Ironically Infinite Warfare has the most disliked for a COD trailer but has one of the most loved campaigns in the series.
There's an aspect to the dislike removal that's gone a little unnoticed: Kids. RUclips's supposedly so hell-bent on protecting children or whatever, but if you've watched cocomelon and similar content, you'll notice there's some really weird shit out there. Usually you can filter it out via the dislikes, but now you just gotta Trial and error and attempt to explain to your toddler why their ever so prized TV time was shortened, or subject your kid to a terrifying video. Thanks RUclips, making the world a better place.

it’s already an option to disable likes/dislikes in the creator tab. this has honestly been the single most stupidest decision youtube has ever made. it’s horrendous that they claim to be woke and “for the people” but their copyright system is still very exploitable and no youtuber under 1 million subs even has a chance at getting it resolved because all of their support problems are just handled by bots. it’s disgusting that their motto is “for the people” and yet nothing could ever be more untrue considering how they consistently value large companies and celebrities over individual creators. i have a feeling that things will only get worse over time, unfortunately
