We had 4 Suburbans in my childhood ’92, ‘96, ‘03 & ‘06. There was nine of us total so we actually needed one, I really miss piling in a Suburban with my family.
I’m buying one and I am single with no kids. Reason being - I love the driving experience. Sits up high. Quiet. Smooth. Comfortable for my tall frame and available V8 engines. Might go for the Tahoe though since I’ll never have it full of passengers and won’t need additional room for cargo. I’ll probably get the Tahoe (if not the Yukon) with a bench seat in the back.
We've had Suburban's in the past that served us well, and would love to be able to buy one of these! But Special thanks to the U.A.W, because they along with all Cars and Trucks are Simply OVER PRICED!!!
@The Hooniverse This was an amazing review (this is the first review that I have seen by you). Generally, I've always been loyal to "Redline Reviews" because of how thorough his reviews are. After watching your review, I am very satisfied with how you compose yourself, and how you deliver the information to your viewers. If I were to provide some very light areas of improvement - I would say to focus a little more on providing exterior and interior video footage so we can see the entire vehicle, inside and out, with all of its glory. As well as features (at least the highlights). For example, say the Magnetic Ride Control were manually adjustable - show us that up close and what the different options are / do, like a demo. Maybe you do this normally, like I said, this is the first vehicle review that I've seen of yours. With that being said, again, this was a great review. As it stands, with all honesty, I will make your my second search for a vehicle review if there is not one from "Redline Reviews". Thank you for your excellent 4K vehicle video review. It was great! You have yourself a new subscriber.
I wish those prices existed today!!! We just looked at a High County and it cost $90,000 used with only 8,600 miles on it. We found one with 300 miles but it was $105,000. At that price we decided to look at an Escalade... HA! AS IF!!! On their premium features which match the High County it came in at $130,000. IT IS GETTING OUT OF HAND...
This thing is 82,000 and change. I just wish there was an Excursion of the likes and I’d get that... grew up in Detroit literally right next to Dearborn
I bet Chevy could sell even more of these if it offered the LT version with big 6.2 liter engine. The 5.3 is a good engine but simply not up to speed for towing in a vehicle this big.
What do you think about buying a 2021 suburban LT on October 10, 2020 since I bought it has a problem that the person sitting down does not recognize I pass the dealership in Spring Texas then they tell me that they have to ask for the part when I get in to take it I see that it does not work what From the air conditioning to gradual the temperature they give it to me again and they tell me that you also have to order the part also until now we are December 30 2020 and still with the problems, this is actually GM service wao
Interesting point about steering need for corrections. That reminds me of Wranglers that need constant correction on highways, but that’s a solid axle rear and front vehicle. Kind of disappointing about steering on suburban if it needs constant correction.
Yeah and that's not a tuning thing on the Jeeps. That's just "a Jeep thing" lol. On the Suburban it was an electronic power steering tuning thing, and I've noticed it on a few other vehicles. And when you DO notice it, you can't "un-notice" it.
I typically lean Ford. I need V8 in a vehicle this size though... BUT, it is good that the Expedition can get 400 hp from that engine. Maybe they should make a Raptor version - terrible idea but could be fun too
I spent a week in a Ford Expedition Max Platinum and really enjoyed it. I haven't driven the new Suburban yet, or even the last generation. The twin-turbo V6 in the Ford has 500 miles range if you're at highway speeds. The massaging driver's seat was a nice touch too. hooniverse.com/running-from-the-pandemic-in-a-2020-ford-expedition-max/
These things are great but are getting as pricey as homes in some parts of country. Who can afford these? I guess this is why there are 84 month financing deals and soon 10 years loans to come.
Buy this 2021 suburban ONLY if you love spending hours upon hours at the service shop. The 2015 being a new edition was a huge pile of shit so I'm only guessing 2021 will be the same. Chevy has a habit of sending these first editions with lots of issues. My advice is to buy one a year later and never with the fancy magnetic shocks. They can't seem to figure them out and even when they work you won't be able to feel the difference
Never buy a product in its first model year, whether it's a car, (especially a GM product) TV, airplane, washing machine etc. Waiting for the second year .
Anyone else notice that Chevy and Ford have both styled large SUVs like the Toyota Sequoia from 2008? We give Toyota crap for not redesigning the model, but modern SUVs are moving back to a curvy shape.
Uhhhhh... The Silverado, Tahoe & Suburban's GRILLS ARE UGLY!!! I GUESS IT'LL GROW ON ME BUT, THE YUKON & SIERRA ARE THE BETTER LOOKING OF THE GM NEWER SUVs
I see where you're coming from. I remember in 2003 when Chevrolet changed the grill to their pick-up trucks, then again in 2007 or 2009 (?). The 2003 was ugly as hell to me at first, it looked, feminine to me, not like a truck should. Then came along the 2007 or 2009 grill re-design, I was a fan, because it really made the trucks look wide and large. I loved that. The new grills now are looking good, and I'm happy with them personally. To say the least, Chevrolet has really stepped up their game. The exterior design of their new vehicles, and interior quality improvements are finally starting to compete with foreign luxury vehicles. I never thought the American brands would ever really compare, but they finally are starting to catch up ... it's only taken nearly a century to truly start offering modern features for the time era.

instaBlaster.
Suburban is the only vehicle I want. (period). It's just the best. (period)
I’m buying one and I am single with no kids. Reason being - I love the driving experience. Sits up high. Quiet. Smooth. Comfortable for my tall frame and available V8 engines. If you don't need the space, go for the Tahoe. It's cheaper.
So you are then buying a vehicle you don't need?
Way to go Brunio! Get the Suburban! You won’t regret it! I’m single with no kids and I just bought a Suburban High Country. I love it!
Nice...but the prices are getting out of hand.
We've had Suburban's in the past that served us well, and would love to be able to buy one of these! But Special thanks to the U.A.W, because they along with all Cars and Trucks are Simply OVER PRICED!!!
I’m not sure why TVs on the seat are a thing. My kids stare at their phones all day.
They are a waste and take up space if you are using rear facing car seats

Excellent Review 👍
Planning on getting one soon
I’ll be living in one of these when my wife kicks me out of my house.
I’m dying I can’t stop laughing at this
Lol
Life must be hard
Eeeeyup! My 2016 has the same dead zone issue and itttttts MADDENING! Looking at the High Country picking up in about a week!
Great video, first one I’ve seen of the 21s

MY DREAM CAR!
The best review 👌🏻👍🏻✅
Chevrolet should introduce the right hand drive version of this vehicle for Asian and Asean markets
This thing is 82,000 and change. I just wish there was an Excursion of the likes and I’d get that... grew up in Detroit literally right next to Dearborn
The high country looks damn good in person though. Started a roofing job at a Chevy Dealership.

right seriously, there is no reason to even use 5.3 6.2 should be standard 5.3 is old weak low hp low torque
Except that most aren’t going to tow anything.
Do you know exactly when the Diesel version will be available in car shops for sale?
The dope ass gangster suv
Quite like the regular or luxury trims, but dislike the front end on the Z71 model.
But mah break over angles!
The only reason for me to buy the Tahoe instead, would be for the fuel. Both the Suburban and Tahoe are the same. Might as well get the bigger one😊

It’s a “good” vehicle for anyone that likes them, even if it’s just for how they drive and feel on the road.
Saw this driving near LAX!
This or Ford expedition max platinum? Thoughts? V6 turbo or big v8?
I typically lean Ford. I need V8 in a vehicle this size though... BUT, it is good that the Expedition can get 400 hp from that engine. Maybe they should make a Raptor version - terrible idea but could be fun too

Thank you, looking and can’t decide,

Expedition all day
The Expedition will run off and leave this High Country.
I though the third row had 10 more inches of leg room, not 2.2.
The Tahoe has 10 inches. The Suburban has 2.2
These things are great but are getting as pricey as homes in some parts of country. Who can afford these? I guess this is why there are 84 month financing deals and soon 10 years loans to come.
Here in the Philippines, we use this SUV as funeral hearse to transport the dead.
I see people complaining about price don’t buy if you can’t afford or find away to create a business or side hustle that can help you afford it

My dream
Can you can give me the suv? Send me one to chihuahua mexico
yes can I have the 80k (Jesus) mini living room? Just send it on down..
Also, the 5.3 is so underpowered, I don't know why they still use it.
It’s outdated. Chevy needs to let iit dissapear

Don't see your kid in this one, but as big as that thing is she could be in the back unseen giving you the finger for that Disney movie comment.
Jorge Jefferson I had the truck for less than 8 hrs unfortunately.
This dude should not be reviewing a family car because he obviously doesn’t have kids. Let soccer moms review this thing.
FIF🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
lol a lot of people are still driving those DATED land cruisers
It’s a brand new model update.

Your sarcasm is dated and misplaced
Neat!
