That quote was so on-point, very true, and shows that Anne Hathaway gets it. It shows gratitude, appreciation, and just how level headed her perspective is on her fame and with her fans.
The thing that made me dislike Lawrence the most was that time she bragged about assaulting a guy in a pub in Budapest on the Seth Meyers show. She talked about how she doused him and his luggage with beer because he was slightly rude to her. She also laughed about the fact that he was later seen in the bathroom crying over his wet belongings. Both her, the host, and the audience found the whole thing acceptable and hilarious. Maybe I don't understand American culture, but this is really fcked up to me.
A lot of the Hollywood celebrities are severely disconnected from reality, it’s one of the main factors why the industry has lost their favors in the last decade. Very similar to the extremists who live in the coastal lines, living in their bubble disconnected from everyone yet encourages bullying behavior.
I remember seeing a clip of that episode. I was appalled at how nonchalant everyone acted and laughed at her story. It's sad that she was not held accountable. As far as being part of America's culture...That's a tough one. America actually many many culture's due to the size. That behavior has repercussions in many places in the US. From a beer in the face, getting popped in the mouth, or an assault charge. Unpopular opinion, there are enough women that are not held accountable for their behavior in the U.S., I am surprised it is not discussed more. We, as a society, talk about men being shit bags all the time.
Now imagine if an actor had told the same story about doing that to a woman. People would give him shit for his behavior and call him a sexist or a misogynist. But Jennifer does it and gets no blowback for her actions.
Even in her "relatable" phase Jennifer gave off "I'm not like other girls" vibes and as she got more famous that obnoxious attitude became more noticeable and people started to realise she wasn't as down-to-earth as she pretended to be. I know some people like to say that Emma Stone is in the same boat as Jennifer but from what I can tell Emma has remained classy, kind, and humble for the most part. Jennifer has become so self-important that it's hard for me to root for her anymore when she keeps spouting nonsense and doubling down on it.
I completly agree, Lawrence never was "relatebale" to me, she seemed like one of the popular mobbing group in school. On the other side Stone, Blunt and Hathaway always came across as the down to earth persons who were more chill and relateable. If you have not seen the famous Norton show clip, search for Emma Stone Spice Girls and you will be in for a treat. Funnylily enough one of the most down to earth actors is there with her: Garfield. :D
She behaved as though she's "not like other girls" or you projected that belief onto her because you perceived that she stood apart with attributes unique to her? Because her aloof, indifferent confidence and candid transparency is/was somewhat unique among her peers, as women are expected to be feminine and deferential and insecure. There's a reason she was perceived as "relatable" by so many people, she seemed different, more casual. Emma Stone and Anna Kendrick both come to mind as having the same sort of effortless comedic indifference that's endearing, but they kind of "blossomed" into their personalities as they gained experience and more self esteem to share themselves, Jennifer seemed to be unapologetically unbothered straight on the scene which made her appearance a little louder and more conspicuous. That isn't to say she was trying intentionally not to identify with her peers though. I suppose one could argue the shift in her current demeanor serves as proof of her inauthenticity, but how much older is she now? Natural maturity changes us all, I'd be concerned if she DIDN'T adapt and progress. Not to mention, she had a baby, that's a HUGE shift! When I had my oldest I truly immerged as an entirely different person. It radically shifts your entire outlook and all of your priorities. To me, it just appears as the natural and expected progression of maturity and development.
I think your take on Tom Cruise was spot on. Movie stars aren’t loved for who they are, but rather because of the roles they’ve played. When they express their personal opinions, not only do we as an audience not care, we STOP caring, because the fantasy of their character is broken. An actor’s job is to entertain…nothing more and nothing less
I think there is an interesting element to actors where we do love them in part for who they are, but usually who they are to us is carefully crafted and if they break away from it, they lose our love. I've found it interesting how celebrities have for decades gone on talk shows to promote a movie and they aren't there to act like they're character, they are there to be themselves or the audience's perception of them. The purpose of this is for the audience to like the actor even more which will the increase their likelihood to like the film and character. Part of this could be that many actors have the ability to be so liked naturally that they don't really have to act or they simply have to act in a way that fits with their Hollywood image. The audience's affection for actors in their roles is very strongly tied to their affection for the actor and who they think he/she is, thus it is very important to build up their image and rapport with the audience.
entertain? if they were an artist we would care about their personalities? right that is what you make me understand with this comment. may you confuse yourself, their job is not entertain, their job is acting like someone they aren't.
I get what you’re saying but EVERY single person should be judged on what kind of person they are and how they treat people, she shouldn’t get a free pass because she’s famous. And let’s be honest, Jennifer Lawrence is a mediocre actress
@@radishmoomoo2471 All 4 of your statements are very true. I would only ask: How do we tell what they are really like from the Hellyweird interviews? THAT is also all an act. I mean for example, Oprah and Ellen are "beloved", but are really terrible and awful people....probably sociopaths. But have been portrayed as saints helping the little people. There are very few I could have anything above normal regard for in that industry.
I never noticed how Chris Pratt was the only one that cringed at Jennifer talking about disrespecting the local ancestry rocks by itching her butt with it.

I’m also sick of hearing that I need to “see myself represented”. Race and sex are the most low level, superficial ways you can connect with people. Can’t wait for this type of thinking to go away.
Sigourney Weaver is/was the bomb. Us game players go through this with leftists all the time. A good portion of our games have female leads and that is fine, I am not shallow enough to care who is in the lead role because I don't need representation to feel good about myself.
@@samanthawhang7498 - It’s especially baffling for me since, as a kid, I loved media from animal POVs more than human-based stories. Stuff like Warriors or Watership Down. I never “saw myself” in a bunch of rabbits but I turned out just fine and still love re-reading that book, so 🤷♀️

My daughter spent a day with Anne Hathaway in a work situation, and she said that Anne was very kind to her and real. She said that at the end of the day, Anne gave her a hug and thanked her for spending the day with her. Things have a way of coming to the surface and the public always gets it.
She wasn't like that only like 5 years ago. She seems completely different. She must've gone through some kind of therapy, woke feminist therapy. I even saw her wearing a nose-ring ffs.
The “butt rock” incident was what completely turned me off from her, saying this AS A WOMAN. Imagine _knowing_ something is sacred to another culture and using it as your own scratching post like a friggin bear. Nasty.
My respect for Hathaway just went up several notches. My God, she actually *gets* it. I mean, she's always been a fine actress and a luminous presence; I never heard that much about her as a person. But hearing that she understands she owes fame to an audience that was willing to show up to see her... As crazy as it is that such perspective seems rare in Hollywood these days... Makes it that much easier to want to see her performances.
"Boys cannot identify with a female lead" When I was a kid I literally thought Wednesday Addams was me, I identified myself in Sarah Connor too, Xena, Mulan, Arya Stark... or even Lilo from Lilo & Stitch and I'm a hetero white man. It has never been about the appearence but about the values, the emotions, the character development, the story. And they completely forgot it.
That was such bulls**t when she said that! And yes, I agree with your examples, (don't forget Ripley from Aliens!) She doesn't think before she speaks, I would think. At least a lot of the time.
A lot of men think Ripken form alien is a bad a character. Even the more seemingly female characters men can relate to or think are a good addition. I think as a woman I dislike that things have to be female for empowerment. That’s why I liked Anne because even in her less likable roles the female characters are like able and relatable
Yeah that's nonsense to say boys can't identify with female leads, as evidenced by the sales revenue of every comic book about Captain Marvel and Wonder Woman and a myriad of other ensemble comics with strong heroines.
Don’t forget she was the first female action hero. EVER. Way before Ellen Ripley, Sarah Connor, and Buffy Summers came out if their respective films and tv shows.
why are you surprised? She's a feminist. All these actresses that complain about men making more than women in the film industry also go on to do fashion shoots for designer companies and the male models are paid way less than the female models but the women don't complain. They only complain when they're disadvantaged.
i never liked jennifer lawrence...even when she was "relatable" she always gave me a weird "im better than everyone" vibe, and what do you know, it turned out to be true.
I never got why everyone thought she was some kind of great actress. Hunger Games she played a character who isn't allowed to emote because the tyranny she lives in will punish her. That's specifically NOT acting. Somewhat likewise for Mystique. She's an outsider, but I don't really get that kind of anguish from her... just the surface pretense playing a person who plays other people. Is an actor pretending to be an actor really acting?
I never got the hype either. She always came off as trying too hard to seem likable. And she constantly would get drunk in interviews and tell so many drunk stories that she comes off as a borderline alcoholic hiding behind a bunch of “funny” anecdotes.
My husband sat next to Jennifer at a function in NYC. She spoke so rudely about a fuller woman sat next to him. She was the boss of a plus size shapewear company. Jennifer is literally a mean girl.
I think this says it all right here. A sad case of inherent character flaws + a celebrity reading too much of their own press clippings. Not a good equation.
Agreed. She forgets who she was and where she comes from. I believe karma will punish her and she will get what she deserves. Never disrespect your own family.
I'm amazed that this video didn't even address that at all. It was what made me truly fed up with her, and I was a fan going back to 2010's Winter's Bone.
This is ridiculous. Same people praising Anne are the same ones who disrespected her 10 years ago. This Lawrence hate will stop and then y'all will act as if you've always loved her.
@@katgreer6113 this isn't true of many people. Myself and many people I know have always detested the foolishness of Jennifer Lawrence. Also, I have always enjoyed Anne Hathaway but never made a point to learn more about her. I was forced to know more about Lawrence because she was always on the news for being an idiot. I never HAD to know about Hathaway - there is a big difference between them and people keep their beliefs.
@@thedestroyer2alltrolls411thank you, I was looking for someone to bring this up. To be fair, a lot of women (and even men) have been raised to truly believe that abortion is somehow good or merciful, and as it’s more comfortable to just blindly believe the things you’ve been taught your whole life, they never question it. Anne doesn’t strike me as a malicious person, but she doesn’t strike me as a particularly smart one, either. All human lives matter; age, race, sex, etc don’t change that. This should be common sense, and yet it tragically isn’t and hasn’t been for a long time. Jennifer sucks, but Anne is far from a ‘saint’ even in comparison to her.
Oh Anne with an E had to eat a HUGE HUMBLE btw! The foreign press hated her behind the scenes, her condecending attitude whenever she get interviewed outside of America was atrocious. Her career froze out entirely and now has made realizations that most A-;ist celeb has not come to realize.
I had a cousin like that 😅. She would always complain about our other family members being too perfect. Well, now I know that jealously extended towards me as well. Yes, I must recognize my own faults. However, three years later, I thank god for distancing me from that person and as well from other toxic beings 💕.
I felt bad for Anne Hathaway, back when the world was hating on her for no particularly good reason. It always seemed to me as if her poise was mistaken for artifice.
The main problem i have with Jennifer isn't about her being too much but about how self absorbed and aggressive she is, its just so messed up how she treats her fans cause theyre actually people out there who look up to her and meeting her is like a dream for them and she just crushes them really with no empathy just proves that she really doesnt care about how she got to where she is in the first place And why i love Anne so much is cause she actually recognizes her value to her fans would never want to let them down and genuinely cares about them
@dgamer She admitted in an interview with Adam Sandler that she has been rude, if not an outright bitch to fans who have approached her in a public place, such as a restaurant, who want an autograph, or maybe a pic. When she (and others) do that, I get they are entitled not to be bothered all the time, but on the other hand, I can't help feel that this is what they signed up for at the same time. I've heard other celebrities such as Mark Wahlberg and Chloe Grace Moretz say "always be nice to your fans, never be rude." I understand that whoever you are, you should be able to enjoy a meal at a public place or somewhere, but it sounds to me that Jennifer Lawrence crossed a line and sent some of her fans packing with a word or gesture that was as effective as it was uncivilized and rude. I get what you're saying. (I pretty much said the same thing you did !)
People who look up to celebrities (actors, singers, yt influencers, etc.) were obviously not brought up with good role models in their life (parents, guardians, etc.) and they have, at some point in their life, filled that void with some entertainment figures who pretend for a living and in-between the pretending spew political nonsense because of their inflated egos which births know-it-all attitudes. These entertainers are more than not people who have no basic knowledge about the world and barely any grasp on reality hence they can teach their admirers nothing much of worth. They can only be a cautionary tale but are not perceived as such. Maybe because more and more children look up to celebs instead of individuals who are truly productive for society, we are seeing such an increase of stupid, entitled people and hollow-at-the-core woke ideology.
@@catstac2542 you can both have good role models and look up to a celebrity for how good they are at something. Just like how you can look up to an athlete, coworker, sibling, or parent. Looking up to someone doesn't inherently mean that it's with an unhealthy mentality nor is it ever inherently exclusive to any one person. I think I have great parents and look up to them, but I also look up to Ian McKellen or Emily Blunt for their great acting, my coworker for her efficiency, all athletes professional or not for their dedication and skill and my fricking car mechanic for his honesty and reliability.
At this point, I’m really tired of actress’s in Hollywood complaining about ✨patriarchy✨ (including some male actors) when not only we’ve brought a lot of progress in the west, had a lot of “strong female characters” in past films but also they don’t understand there women other countries who actually live in “patriarchal” society and these famous ladies get payed with millions of dollars and live a privileged life.
Woke concepts like "the patriarchy" or a "gender pay gap" are a problem because this misinformation does nothing but sow distrust and hate amongst people. How an actress that was paid over a hundred million dollars over the course of two years can talk nonsense about an imaginary patriarchy trying to oppress her is beyond me. 99.99% of the male population of this planet would have switched places with her without hesitating for a second.
@tomcoop women have also done the factory work in history however they were underpaid but patriarchy back then did benefit men however it brought consequences for them (sacrifice, responsibility for income etc)
Yeah, most actresses really are the last people to ever lecture anyone about “toxic male privilege”, when they THEMSELVES are quite privileged themselves.
Isn't it amazing how similar Jennifer Lawrence is to brie Larson?! They say stupid things against men and men stop watching their crap, then they are amazed that they are less popular than they used to be.
They’re about a few seconds away from becoming the female Homelander, giving long winded rants how if it wasn’t for “them”, Hollywood would be “doomed”, and order everyone to shut up and give the the attention “they deserve”.
It's weird they dont realise who is buying the majority of movie tickets and merchandise. Then they say "men this movie is not for you".......ok then, no problem
Also, women stop buying into their Cool Girl shtick too. Like, I’m not on your team just cause we both have vaginas. Kindly fuck off girl and get out of here.
So fake hip hop artists or corny late night hosts don't count? (which she pointed out one of them and showed a clip with the other Lol) , what about the Paul Bros? Stop looking for hate that isn't there people
Agreed, and I didn't read the article but sometimes when 'those that are awake' refer to patriarchal oppression they include men too or at least they should in that men and women can be held to a high societal standard which they cannot meet
I've always wondered how people can see Lawrence as down to earth and relatable girl. I've always seen her as arrogant and rude and she's never really tried to hide it.
I always reacted to her as a person with a drinking problem - in every damn interview she kept on talking how she acted because she was drunk, how she smuggled drinks, how she spiked champaign bottles with vodka, etc. etc. That alone discounts her as 'relatable'
Ah see you just answered why people like her “never really tried to hide it” most celebrities are complete assholes who only care about money but very few actually show that side to the world cause they want to keep their “image” Jennifer is fully aware that she’s a b*tch but at least shes not putting on a show like the other celebs do
As someone who works as a college journalist, the guy might’ve just had his questions written on his phone. Reminders are a good way to keep track of that.
And I've noticed that he had an accent, maybe English is not his first language and he was trying his best. I feel bad for him because she made him feel small.
i think she was kinda encouraging him to not use phone to ask questions and be independent of it, and she was very right as the reporter said oscar instead of golden globes, i wouldn't mind if she had scolded me like that Although don't like her personality of too much trying to look cool and funny
As much as I like your take on this topic, I still think that majority of her issues are caused by becoming preachy, entitled and arrogant. She has turned from humble kind goofy kid, to ... Well, Brie Larson. 😅
I agree. Jennifer Lawrence have become entitled snob who forget who she is and the ordinary people that had made her a success. She really don't care about the fans and paying customers who watched her movies.
I loved Jennifer in The Hunger Games and I used to find her relatable. But then I also heard some stories about her from the time she was shooting Red Sparrow. I was told she was very rude, the staff wasn't supposed to look at her and she would constantly be on her phone (quite ironic whatching her scold that guy for being on his phone). Right before shooting, she would put the phone down only to "forget" where she put it, and during the breaks, all of the staff had to look for her phone - repeatedly. I was so shocked to hear this stuff about her. Then after the movie was released, she bragged in an interview about pouring beer on a fan that asked her for a photo, while being in my country. I lost all my respect for her. She can blame the patriarchy all she wants, it was her own personality that destroyed her carreer (and possibly the downfall of her patron). Not that she will ever admit it to herself.

Jen's greatest strength is also her biggest weakness: her lack of curation/filters. You can have a bad day, low adrenaline and whatnot, but your interactions stay online forever. None of this has gone too much, she still can reel it back in. Anne has cracked the code on the other hand, just the right amount of curation hitting the sweet spot.
I haven't seen many movies starring Jennifer Lawrence, but when she rose to popularity I inevitably saw a lot of interviews and appearances. Something always felt off and dishonest about her. Her more recent behavior doesn't surprise me. It takes energy to keep up a mask and it is inevitable that when you appear publicly as often as she did, that mask would start to eventually slip.
I absolutely will stop watching any actor who thinks he/she has an opinion about politics that I want to hear. Stick to talking about acting, and keep your politics to yourself.
no one told you how to vote, you all just got mad at the fact she isn’t a conservative 😂 if there’s anything she’s done right, it’s telling trump supporters to suck it
I don't mind arrogance and "don't you know who i am" i mean they are "stars" it would come with the territory, i just hate it when they start lecturing people telling them how to think, how to do politics, and why they're responsible for why the world's a certain way.... For real, my sister worked on the sets for both the 1st & 2nd Hunger Games. Even all these years later, I remember the stories upon stories of how awful Jennifer was to work with. The 1st movie, the few second clip where Katniss spins in her dress as it "catches fire"? It took 3 DAYS because Jennifer "couldn't do it" got mad, and stormed offset, literally leaving for the entire day, because she couldn't spin in a circle for the shot!! (Go back to that mark in the movie, while "spinning" Jennifer's facial expression says it all. But you'll notice the shots keep cutting, because they couldn't get one continuious shot and had to edit together her attempts) My sister said 10's of thousands $$$ being wasted on set due to Jennifers attitude with mutiple senarios like this. When the director would call action/start rolling film, other actors would jump into rolls, but Jennifer wouldn't care and just kept talking/goofing around! The director had to call "Jennifer, Jennifer... JENNIFER!" Or anything possible to get her to focus. "Like working with a toddler with ADHD." Was the comment. When youre already working 12-16 hour filming days, and it's costing more $$$ to the budget, time is very precious to the crew. The director and set crew were exasperated with her attitude and disrespect for everyone else's time. At the very 1st Hunger Games movie, she was already entitled... (for example, she had her assistant sort through M&M's to take out "the colors I don't like" before Jennifer would eat them. Do they even have a different taste?! And that was only 1 of 50 different weird things she made her assistant do.) The major issue was seeing how nasty/demeaning her comments were to Josh Hutcherson! "Oh you're gonna comment on acting? Tell that to my Oscar." She literally said to Josh's face when he voiced his opinion on trying something out for a sence. She made it VERY clear all the awards SHE had that he didn't have... and Josh just took it without saying anything. (Funny how Jennifer exuded more "toxic masculinity" than her actual male costars) My sister said working with Josh was a joy, because Josh was extremely professional, polite, and focused. So the film crews/extras loved him because he DIDN'T WASTE ANYONE'S TIME and didnt act entitled. He never lost his processional demenor with Jennifer's repeated rudeness. But Jennifer was refularly rude to her co-stars, crew, extras, directors, ect while onset. (Go watch Liam Hemsworths interviews about working with Jennifer, and he struggles to talk about it, and dances around the topic. Mentions instances like Jennifer burping into his mouth after a kiss scene. Disgusting. Rude.) No one could do anything about her behavior to correct her. She had zero fear of being fired over her immaturity. My sister was amazed Jennifer kept the role in the 1st Hunger games after the first few weeks of filming. But it became very clear the director wasn't in a position to fire Jennifer for things other actors/actresses would LONG BEFORE gotten the boot over! Long before the Harvey scandel, the set crew knew she had powerful connections to get/keep these roles. (My theory is, she acted so nonchalant because she had backing with Harvey. We heard her repeatedly atribute HIM as backing her to get awards/roles during acceptance speeches. Other actors/ actresses are more uptight in what they say/do since they don't have a powerful/rich/influential person backing them. Not only in hollywood, but also controlling media outlets and news generated about Jennifer.) Having that insight, I didn't care for Jennifer at all while my friends gushed over her. There is a massive facade for what the public sees verses what actually happens on sets.
Imagine how unbearable she was in the X-Men movies where she had Mystique's make-up on... I wish I could say that her performance was worth the trouble but it really wasn't. While she's a good actress (especially in scenes where she has to cry or scream) she was a really bad casting choice for Mystique. It wouldn't even be a lot of trouble to recast her because the character is literally a shapeshifter
@@samhayet4286 I'm not sure for Liam, but from what I've seen Chris and Jennifer did not get along, and put on the facade they did. (My brother worked on the Guardians set, and vouched Chris was highly professional, focused, pulled extremely long hours, and had a good reputation amoung the crew. I doubt Jennifer's immature tendencies on sets was charming to Chris at all...) I mean, on the tour of Passengers to promote the movie, he constantly hilariously trolled her online in a passive-aggressive manner. (Probably the first actor that stood up to her attitude.) Her ego couldnt handle it, because after the tour Jennifer whined about Chris on Jimmy's show, claiming to be totally undeserving of how Chris treated her. So they got a giant bus with Chris' face (an advertisement for Passengers) spraypainted devil horns on Chris, calling him an a$$, ect, proclaiming Chris to be the jerk out of the two of them. (You can go watch this interview on youtube. I remember watching it when it came out and not believing Jennifer for a second.)
Wow. Thank you as this does credit to my instincts about her. Never bought her schtick. Shame she uses feminism to protect herself from the consequences of bad behavior.
Lawrence just seemed to grow in entitlement as she grew in popularity as opposed to Anne, who even during her "bad year" seemed more like she was trying to do and say everything people expected of her, as opposed to taking the audience for granted or seeming annoyed with her fame. And the thing is, those 3 years where Jennifer Lawrence was gone? no one really missed her. we're as disconnected from her as she seems to be from us at this point.
The other person who no one apparently missed is Julia Roberts. Sure her new movie did well, but it's clear based on her comeback then audiences arent as receptive as her as she was back in the 90s. Ergo, her charm is wearing off. Same as Lawrence and probably (i hate to say it), Emma Stone. I think once you get an Oscar and get box office hits, theres nothing else to look forward to your peak but going down and for women who have been effortless put up in a pedestal, they are not used to anything else hence they feel like a failure that leads them to a crisis and being jealous of upcoming Hollywood talents and still-working actresses.
@@morrisoniice I think Julia Roberts is in a different league than Lawrence and Stone. Roberts is part of the silver screen Pantheon. She's part of pop culture, an icon with a much bigger and longer movie career. But just like anything in life, there is an end date to being a succesul working star. And Roberts reached that ending. Sure, She does a movie once in a while, namely when Clooney gets her out of hiding but she's pretty much retired at this point. I do agree about Stone, though. Both her and Lawrence have boarded the hasbeen train. Also I kind of disagree about Oscar wins and box office success spelling the end for actresses. Look at Cate Blanchet, for example. Two Oscar wins, bankable actress, She just turned in one of the greatest female performances ever committed to screen in Tar. I think the reality is, as much as people might enjoy JLaw and Stone, or even Roberts, they aren't really as versatile or deep as actors as they would need to be to turn in memorable performances in every movie they make. There's a lot of instances where JLaw was swamped by the material she couldn't really perform properly.

I've seen interviews of Anne when she was younger and she was honest and funny and lighthearted and confident. I think then she started to feel very self conscious, trying to react and say what people expected. Do the right thing. I'm so happy that she's back to being confident and more relaxed
This whole part in 4:14 made me feel very uncomfortable to watch. Nonono, I hate when some people act like how Jennifer did, when others are probably just trying they're best not to get tongue tide or are nervous and she just publicly shames him and embarrasses him. No man. I hate people who do that. I've had people who's done that to me so I know how it feels to be talked to and treated this way. Wow Jen that's so messed up😟. I can't believe she acted this way.
That guy probably just had his questions on his phone. It was obvious from the context. His question also STARTED with the Oscars, but we have no idea what he was actually going to ask - because she rudely interrupted him.
English isn't his native language, he was probably looking in the phone for the questions, I can't imagine how nervous and uncomfortable he must have felt, Jennifer just showed who she is, she's not even talented, and to think I used to like her in Hunger Games
She started to bug me when she’d claim she was “obese in Hollywood” while having a smokin hot bod. She never expresses any gratitude anymore - just run of the mill woke style complaints. She also trashed her family publicly because they’re conservative.
I'm pretty sure she was just saying that the standard for actresses is _extremely_ thin to the point where someone who's even considered attractive like her is on the 'heavier' side for an actress.
@@no.6377 I agree. I'm sure she's done orher hateable things but she's not the first nor the last to feel that way about her weight and speak about it, I don't see that as something to hold against her, but I agree that maybe she should have avoided the word "obese" when her weight is undoubtely normal, just not by hollywood standards.
Yeah, her claiming she is opressed when women in Iran are getting killed over their hair is very disturbing to me personally. I also can't help but notice that none of the Hollywood stars mentioned it except for Mila in an interview.
i can tell you exactly why… bc most celebrities only care about themselves and their image. they know they can say just about anything and people will listen. so why would they take the attention off themselves when they could just ignore it and pretend like they’re fighting against the entire world
Maggie Gyllenhaal has talked about what’s happing in Iran, but I don’t think that many people actually care about Maggie Gyllenhaal so they wouldn’t be paying attention to what she has to say.
Jennifer talking about assaulting someone for being rude to her is what made me see her in different light. Look I get it, she was drunk and acted stupid but when she told the story she was extremly proud of it and boasting about it. Jennifer talking about it as if he deserved getting assaulted because he said fuck you is what I dont get it.
Narcissist cannot hide their true selves for extended periods of time. The first "likeable" Jennifer was a character she had cut out for herself when being introduced as the next big thang in Hollywood.
To her credit, she was VERY good at playing that character because she fooled almost everybody. I only know of one random RUclips commenter who thought it was all an act and even they admitted that they weren't sure if their assumption was right. Lawrence could probably win another Oscar if she got a script that allowed her to play the character she was playing throughout the early stages of her career.
Personally i think there's layers to it. The first falling and goofy rooky behavior i think was real doe to the big company she was among being a fish out of water. She was new and nervous around big stars, but i think she's always been a rude and crude person to most everybody else. She got used to Hollywood so now she's comfortable to be just as god awful for EVERYONE to see.
I heard her saying in an interview that she thinks believing in a soul and life after death is narcissism, because we just can't accept that we end. And I though: Nope for a lot of people it's because when our loved ones die, we use this to soothe the pain, that they still exist somewhere and that we can meet each other again. She does not seem to understand others well, but thinks she does. And who has different opinions is narcissistic, while she is acting narcissistic.
Baggage Claim ... Your editing is so well done! The wrap-up with Ann Hathaway's comment, "The reason why you won the lottery was because they bought a ticket," was perfection ... 👏👏👏
Jennifers good roles and subsequent awards disappeared the second Harvey Weinstein did. She was pushed so hard back then because she "paid her dues," and her popularity was a controlled media narrative and persona. Without those, she isn't much at all and is truly very unlikable.
Thank you I was waiting for someone to mention him, she is not a cool girl just like that, she was made via entertaining men, I'm not shaming her for using men power I'm shaming her for continue putting this act after she had her own power, she is soooo misogynist and narcissist
@inelhuayocan_aci I really hated the fact that she said Harvey didn't ass*ault her because he knew she would slap him! That's the most rude thing to say, like all his victims didn't resist or hit him already or been outcast because of him, it's really like people who shame the victims in a passive aggressive way, ex"oh if it was me I wouldn't went to his home alone" , winning 2 oscars on mediocre roles in short time talking the prize from hard working women who waited their whole career for that because dady Harvey wanted, is pure opportunistic person move , she could at least used her power after the first but nope she went with it , she is not a good person she is not a feminist , I'm sure she can be one someday and I hope she can develop a better personality , thank you. sorry for the bad English, not my native
There's IMDb trivia for a movie Jennifer Lawrence played a relatively minor role in that says that they had to make three copies of each of her period outfits for the movies because she ate nothing but Doritos in between takes and would WIPE HER FINGERS ON THE DRESSES, ruining them. Asking her to be more careful evidently didn't work.
Oh wow, that’s very cavalier and disrespectful to the people who are working hard to make her look good on film the way they do. I think that was American Hustle, she was playing a supporting part
If Jennifer hated being a star then she can fade into obscurity. There are a ton of younger aspiring actors who tirelessly audition and would gladly take her place.
She was humble and relatable. Now she condemns people for their views. She used to hold up family and now she says she doesn’t know if she can have relationships with them because of political views. I don’t want a celebrity in their deluded bubble telling me what’s moral or ethical.
It’s like she was re-educated to the woke nonsense. The ideas she espouses now are nonsense as in not grounded in reality. Someone told her this is reality and she believed them instead of looking around and making up her own mind.
lmaaooo it’s so funny when i read comments like this bc i’m pretty sure your people have been telling everyone else what’s immoral & unethical for a very long time. you got a fishing profile picture & everything “yeehaw honky tonk, murica & freedom!!! i don’t want nobody tellin me i gotta be a better person! let me enjoy my brain rot in peace ya hear?” that’s what you sound like lol
The big distinction between these two women is that Anne is coming from a place of gratitude, whereas Jennifer is coming from a place of entitlement. Somewhere along the rise to the top, Jennifer acquired a massive ego, or perhaps she had it all along and just didn’t show it. I also feel like a big thing that celebrities forget is that they’re not really more special or smart than the rest of us, and that we only want to them to entertain us - we don’t want to hear their woke opinions on politics or current events!
The ending with Anne made me think about how I met Jennifer Lawrence when she first did a press tour for Hunger Games and how she was so happy and so giving to her fans. I couldn't imagine that 13 year old me meeting her now with that attitude and how I would feel.
It would be really interesting to see a part 2 to this where you go in-depth into her relationship with Weinstein. We all know that she owns her career to him but I wonder how involved he was in each aspect of her career. I suspect that she probably wouldn't have "Oscar-winner" tacked onto her name if it wasn't for him but I think there's a lot to uncover in that "work relationship" that Jennifer doesn't want anyone knowing about.
Honestly, I didn't know before watching this video and reading many comments about it. I never understood how a newcomer like her was so quickly raised to fame, fortune and Oscar win like she did. And I could NEVER understand why people couldn't see how fake "cool girl" she was! I hated her from the first time she said até a burger, then went to a premier wearing a gorgeous dress...
It annoys me to no end that she bitched and whined about “the pay gap” when she was paid $5 million less than LEONARDO DICAPRIO Yet when she’s paid $8 million dollars MORE than Chris Pratt in their movie together, she’s silent You don’t want equality, Jen. *You want special treatment*
Well... her SUggar daddy Weisntein is no longer there to protect her and get her the money and roles. So she is all by herself now and it is all going down.
I’m so happy you talked about this. Honestly when she gave that interview about being the first action star, I was kind of done with her. I couldn’t understand why she would say that. It’s such a lie. There’s so many great female stars who have lead movies I don’t understand the fixation on what “woman don’t have” I don’t understand. We all deal with the cards we are dealt and times for women are better then they have ever been. I wish she acted a little more grateful..
Not to mention her bit about boys being unable to relate to female leads. Sorry what? Disney movie would not be as popular as they are I'd that were the case, and they have overwhelming numbers of female leads. The lead does not matter, what does matter is how they fit the role and the action and story being told.
As someone who lived through very hard times for women when attitudes were very different, I appreciate your comment that times are, indeed, better than they've ever been. Ive seen the progress in a relatively short amount of time. Women are exactly where they hoped to be. It is insulting to those of us who lived through real push back to hear these senseless rants about "glass ceilings." My daughters can do exactly what they want to if they do the work. I'm so grateful.
As the Drinker foretold, Jennifer Lawrence invented everything to the point where we theorize she is actually Eve incarnated. Henceforth we can place the blame on her for inventing the original sin. (Recent Revelations has brought me to the conclusion Jennifer Lawrence is actually mother Earth herself)
I think the releasing of the private photos definitely was a hard pill to absorb. I am not a fan, but having personal photos shared and then criticized is pretty awful. This definitely had to change her as a person.
she didn't just have to go through that, her then boyfriemd Nicholas Hoult whom she sent those images to has been living his life like nothing happened. If that wasn't bad they still think she was one of the actresses who was favoured by Weinstein. So all her achievements have been over shadowed by these things.
In relationships the thing you like the most about someone is the thing you end up hating the most in the long run. For example you might like someone for being really funny but end up hating that they don't take anything seriously. This happened with J-Law. It was so refreshing how real and unscripted she was until eventually we remembered why celebrities are usually so scripted (to prevent the silly, out-of-touch opinions that they would normally say from coming out).
The reason for her decline is her best friend Harvey. Interesting as it is her fame vanished the same day Harvey did. I'm sure her friendship did extend in various fronts in personal and private space, given Harvey's reputation in Hollywood where everyone is engaged in group think and blind to reason. Before the slap heard around the world there was deed heard around the world.
My feelings exactly. Another Harvey's girl: Alicia Vikander. All over the place first and almost completely gone for years now. Neither of them addressed the scandal.
"The reason you won the lottery is because they bought a ticket" such a great analogy. There was always something that put me off Anne for many years. Ofcourse I still watched her movies cause they were great but she always seemed so out of touch. Then Jennifer came on boared and she felt like a breathe of fresh air, REAL. I remeber watching her interview compilations and just loving it. Then came Dark Pheonix, dont get me wrong I absolutely loved the movie, but Jens Portrail of Mystique reaaaallly pissed me off. I know that the writers usually have a lot to do with what the actors have to say but I cant help but think that Jennifer loved including the lines : The Team Should Be Called “X-Women” Due To The Women Always Saving The Men" I literally could not have rolled my eyes more back then in that moment. Funny how I respect Anne now as an actress and really refuse to watch anything that Jennifer chooses to play in. Thanks for this awesome video. I am glad you chose these two actresses to talk about.
I have always thought Jennifer's Oscar win behavior was a performance (at another award ceremony, she fell down a second time) and what we saw later was the real Jennifer. When she attempted her come back, she was trying to be on her best behavior but in the end, she has decided she will simply continue to be the privileged, self centered (now woke) person who at her core thinks she knows knows better and is better than everyone else.
Crazy when you watch Hunger Games and seeing the main actors, who got their first role in the franchise, become bigger through the years whilst Jennifer has faded into obscurity.
That's odd the because besides Jennifer Lawrence, I can only remember a few established actors like Julianne Moore, Woody Harrelson, Philip Seymour Hoffman, Donald Sutherland and Stanley Tucci. The only other young actors I remember are Isabelle Fuhrman & Liam Hemsworth. The 2010's belonged to J-Law until two flop movies and her 3 year hiatus.
I was going to mention TC just before you guys did. He's a perfect example though. He stopped making it about him and just about the work, the audience, and the cast and crew. He's the biggest movie star in the world because of what he gives to the audience members, not because of what he necessarily believes in or how he feels about certain things. That's personal stuff. His public persona is on point.
Regarding the "there was never female action lead in a movie before me", I recently watched a short of Taylor Swift giving a speech saying something along the lines of "People can dislike a female musician just because there was something about them that people weren't so sure about but no one would say that about a male musician" and just like that, it was taken as a fact when in fact, IS NOT. That's mi biggest issue with woke culture, they will disregard facts just to make it fit their narrative and I wish more people would be more critical of certain PC narratives that are out there. Your input of critical well thought out content is greatly appreciated.
While you do have a point, it's been proven time and time again that women are held at a much higher standard than men, no matter their profession, but it's especially obvious when we look at public figures. So in this aspect, Taylor Swift really is right.
They think being a man means people are always telling you how great you are, no one is ever mean to you and everyone else goes out of their way to make sure you always get what you want. I'm not saying men's lives are a constant living nightmare but the way Taylor Swift and her ilk talk you'd no man has ever had anything negative happen to him ever. Also, I think men are by and large far more mean when it comes to other men then they are women. That doesn't mean no one says anything bad about a women but you can say waaaaay more critical and insulting things about men and no one bats an eyelash. I've trying to bring my fellow liberals around on the more absurd PC narratives but it takes time. I have, despite my staunch progressive credentials, been called a misogynist because I don't think "femicide" is a real crime that deserves it's own name.
@@9Nikko8 it's not the men holding them to a higher standard, its other women who are judging them for it. Heck, the reason why the public fell for Jennifer Lawrence was precisely because her public attitude was "yeah, I'm not giving a fuck about your standards. This is me. I'm gonna be me" Its not men's magazines writing up what the women wore, who wore their dresses best, who said the right thing and who gave the best interview. This is all the women's magazines and women judging other women. Female singers have been around and been cranking out hits for decades before "my rich daddy helped bankroll my music career" Taylor Swift.
@@savioblanc. Thank you!! It is women who tare other women down for being “fat” or “ugly”. Most men do not care as long as you are cute they are happy. Women are the ones holding women to an unrealistic standard of beauty. And quite frankly, there are other women who are far, far, better singers/songwriters than Taylor Swift. I don’t judge Taylor against other men, I judge her against women like Carole King and and Tammy Wynette , and Taylor does NOT hold a candle to them.
Jennifer L was regularly at Harvey Weinstien's side when she was red hot and in half the movies coming out. She went into hiding when #METOO was red hot, so she didn't get asked questions about what she saw or did.
“It was incredible to not be around toxic masculinity, to get a little break from it. And it did always just make us laugh about how we ended up with ‘women shouldn’t be in roles like this because we’re so emotional”. Yeah, I bet she has toxic masculine men around her to give her acting roles, directed and written movies for her (including strong independent women), managed movies for her, working with co stars. Yep it’s nice taking a break from them cause how “toxic” they are.
Her leaks is what destroyed her career. She tried playing the whole fake persona 'girl next door' type. The 'quirky relatable' one. Then hundreds of her images leaked and people quickly realized she's fake. Only a massive narcissist takes that many pics and some were even of her sitting on multiple different types of couches, which lead to the whole 'casting couch' rumor.
My favorite story of the kindness and common sense and decency of an actor: A man came up to James Stewart and said something like "You know Mr. Stewart, this probably doesn't mean anything to you, but your acting and career has meant a lot to me and...." His answer: "OMG, no it means EVERYTHING to me, everything." They make very few actors, athletes etc like this anymore.
Its so annoying nowdays that any criticism about a woman, that has nothing to do with her being a woman, is labelled as 'misogyny'. Its like we should only ever compliment no matter what.
And the types of women of influence demanding being praised constantly like they think they're god like figures aren't even deserving of it. They're not doing anything impressive enough for me to see why they're demanding it so much.
I'm a woman and I didn't like her. I couldn't put my finger on it. Sad thing is I could say it. Or maybe I couldn't? Idk. I think we should just see each other as people. And treat each other well regardless of gender stuff.
I remember when Anne Hathaway got all the criticism and getting hate for her Oscar speech. "She's so fake or so rehearsed." Really? I thought she was being professional and was perfectly fine. I thought it was stupid for people hating her for that while Jennifer Lawrence was cute, funny, and blunt; "cool girl", but getting all the love in the world. Why couldn't people like both actresses?
I was reading her biography on Wikipedia and something really stuck out to me and made a lot of sense as to why she most likely is the way she is: "She has two older brothers, Ben and Blaine. Her mother raised her to be "tough" like her brothers, and would not allow her to play with other girls in preschool, as she deemed her "too rough" with them." No wonder she has always come off as such a "pick-me girl".
That’s why I’ve been called a “pick me” as well. I have an older brother who is 2 and a half years older than me. I grew up playing with him and his friends because they were closer in age to me than their sisters were. I prefer being around guys because they seem more real than most women I have met. Other than one girl, who is my best friend, all the girls in my classes were backstabbers. They would get me to confide in them and then spread my secrets. This isn’t me bashing women. This is just me explaining why I don’t really befriend other girls easily.
@khfan4life365 lol ever wonder if maybe you're the problem? If every woman you meet is an asshole everywhere you go, then maybe the common denominator is you? Frankly, ever pick me female I've ever had the unfortunate circumstance of meeting has always been absolutely awful. Like thirsty beyond belief, corny, rude, and incredibly disloyal and backstabby and obsessed with dick. Other women end up seeing how insane and dickmatized pick me's are and run far in the other direction. Never met a pick me who wasn't nasty and full of drama. And perpetually jealous to boot lol.
I was also raised with two brothers and that kind of excluded me from the girls, because I was raised with the characteristics of a boy and it also excluded me from the boys, because I wasn't a boy after all so I was always kind of in the middle. This was though in school, because I was constantly bullied. Today I approach both genders openly, but as I grew up it made friendships with woman so hard. I also remember some years back when I told a guy I had two older brothers he instantly nodded and said "Ohhhh, that makes sense. Like, your whole approach. You're not like the other girls." To me being "not like the others girls" is no compliment as I thought it was in my teenage years, when being different was the goal.
I do not know how ALL of these people don't turn into big jerks. Being out in the public all the time and having everything you say used against you; having to be perfect all the time. Must be very stressful.
I recently watched her interview on “Hot Ones” and at the start she’s much more toned down and reserved, and then as her entire mouth and throat are basically set on fire this really funny, self deprecating side comes out more and more. The fact that that’s how she responds when literally crying in pain makes me think that’s the real her coming through. And much as I find her arrogant and disrespectful, I can’t deny that she has an effortless charm that simply cannot be taught. It’s too bad she bought into her own hype so much.
THANK YOUUUU!! I’ve been saying this forever and everyone freaks out on me. She has played this public “role” forever, and not well in my (and now your) opinion. Her ability to manipulate the viewers perception of her is incredible. She wants the public to see her as that quirky fun down to earth cool chick she wants everyone to believe she is. In reality, she’s a miserable ornery demanding selfish and egotistical narcissist who on surface charms the room to win favor and adulation. Every step she’s made, up until recently, has been designed to pull you in to their cheering section to bolster their poor self image so they can stand superior over everyone (in their own minds) Once that begins to slip, then the gloves start to come off as we are seeing now. It’s textbook. Narcissism on full display. Look it up.
I can't believe she would do that in the first place and then _tell everyone about it._ The first is stupid; the second is so mind-boggingly stupid it defies description.
You can see even Chris was shocked by this story, and was looking for appropiate response until he saw the actor next to him was laughing and just did the face.
She was also one of those in Hollywood extremely vocal about a certain event in 2016 and declared that she didn't want certain people seeing her movies. A lot of those certain people kept that in mind.
okay but not supporting a racist, vile person is her prerogative. you conservatives ALWAYS have to bring up this up to rewrite history. you are missing the point of the video by putting your own right-wing ideology onto the masses. most of her fans are probably on the same side as her. i agree with her on her political views, but as i saw more of her, she just came off as very unlikeable. not everyone wants celebrities to stay silent.
@@kaylabey except Trump isn't the racist evil villain yall tried REALLY HARD to make him out to be just because he wasn't on your side politically. And that overly dramatic reaction to Trump is what is incredibly annoying and cringe and the reason the term TDS exists.
12:14 "The reason you won the lottery, is because they bought a ticket." Wow. This has to be one of the most humble and true statements I have seen a celebrity make. Huge Respect for her!
My aunt and uncle live in the Louville Kentucky are and know JL's parents. In the beginning of her career my relatives wouldn't shut up about how great Jen is. Now they don't talk about her at all because of how much she has changed and her behavior towards her parents. She has turned into a Hollywood Woke Wako.
Actors can learn from the Cruise and Downy redemption arc Edit: Anne Hathaway is a treasure, I’m a dude and Ive loved her work growing up from princesse diaries to her kickass job as cat woman, and her outright chilling role in Les Mis.
Very well put👍 Ed O'Neil did the same mistake after being Al Bundy for a over a decade, a role that made him a millionaire and made him a desirable actor, he was getting testy when people call him Al in public by replying "MY NAME IS ED!". He realized that he was being a moron, he owed everything to that role and the fans who loved it. Ed is a legend and AL BUNDY FOR PRESIDENT!
I never understood all the fuss about Jennifer Lawrence but then I never watch the Oscars. Which also explains why I never stopped being a fan of Anne Hathaway. So thank you for contextualising that for me. Very insightful and informative.
She was basically pushed so hard by those around her to be this real, edgy Americas sweetheart role that she inevitably started trying too hard and just became a pastiche of herself
Actors should humble up like all humans should when it comes to fame and fortune. Nothing lasts forever. Have to bring this back to Johnny Depp. The reason why he has so many devoted fans throughout his career is simply because he knows that they bought the tickets and they’re the real boss.
Ive always adored Anne, it had nothing to do with her being effortlessly good. She is a great actress, amazing even, and she has done so without putting down anyone, but with the sheer force of her talent and pristine work ethic. And even if that oscar speech is regarded as cringy and too fake, i think it was a perfectly ok reaction, because humans are never effortlessly cool all the time.
Same here. I find her professional and charming. Never got the dislike. I attribute it more to the habit celebrity press has of enthroning people to depose then at the next minute.
@@dachsrottweiler It’s her delivery that’s the issue. That whispery, shy, fake voice. The way she “humbly” lowers her head and hides her face in the Oscars press interview.
@@BbGun-lw5vi her PA told her to do so. of course it's quite embarrassing talking like that which is not her true attitude. sound like cringe, her PA obviously wrote that
i started disliking her after she did a video talk with Tom Hanks. They were discussing fans and autographs. Jennifer said that she doesn’t do it for her fans basically implying that people are annoying to her and she says “i’m off today” (as if she has a day off at work). She treats interaction with her fans as her job duty, which is weird. Whole Tom said he has no problems with fans asking for pics and autographs whenever.
I was thinking critically of her up until you said she doesn’t have social media. Being the class clown is great for everyone else but when you don’t wanna do that anymore cus you’re worn out, no one wants you to be serious. Kind of makes you dislike people and put the bare minimum effort into others. It looks different on everyone but I can relate
As usual, thank you for the great video! Anne Hathaway said it so good in the end. I never liked Jennifer Lawrence. I always saw through that "girl next door" persona. She was just trying too hard. And even then I could see little hints of rudeness, slip-ups, etc. I never bought that act, because it was so overwhelming. I have so much respect for true down to earth and humble celebrities like Ed Sheeran, Keanu Reeves, Margo Robbie, etc. I understand how hard that is, so I admire that. I wouldn't give the time of day to someone like Jennifer Lawrence. People like that have to remember that they are not out there saving lives or something like that. They work in the entertainment industry, making millions purely because of their fans love.
The thing is, and this is not defending Hathaway, but when you act all the time, sometimes being authentic is extremely hard, and you feel very uncomfortable doing it, it makes it seem to everyone as you are lying and being false. It is something a lot of actors deal with; they lose that ability to convey real emotion even if they feel it. As in trying not to act, they come across as incredibly false.
We've been saying the same thing about Meghan and Harry Markle too, but apparently, us saying they're "too much" stems from racism and unconscious bias. 😂
I think the same thing is going to come out about Billie Eilish down the road too. Some of the things she says are very telling, but she's still adored. I always had a feeling that Jennifer was incredibly narcissistic, I have a similar feeling about B.E.
What bugs me about her is that she once claimed in an interview that she didn't want to be relevant forever, yet here she is trying too hard to stay relevant and if she's frustrated with that, then maybe she should actually fade into irrelevancy like she supposedly wanted.

Could not agree more! This Grandmama still ❤s her 😍
Man, Anne is still beautiful and so humble even after all the money she's made. That tells me alot.
That quote was so on-point, very true, and shows that Anne Hathaway gets it. It shows gratitude, appreciation, and just how level headed her perspective is on her fame and with her fans.
So few words to express so much!
Lol yeah she came up with that herself
The thing that made me dislike Lawrence the most was that time she bragged about assaulting a guy in a pub in Budapest on the Seth Meyers show. She talked about how she doused him and his luggage with beer because he was slightly rude to her. She also laughed about the fact that he was later seen in the bathroom crying over his wet belongings. Both her, the host, and the audience found the whole thing acceptable and hilarious. Maybe I don't understand American culture, but this is really fcked up to me.
American here, it was not funny or acceptable. Hate that people now down to celebrities
A lot of the Hollywood celebrities are severely disconnected from reality, it’s one of the main factors why the industry has lost their favors in the last decade. Very similar to the extremists who live in the coastal lines, living in their bubble disconnected from everyone yet encourages bullying behavior.
I was expecting to see this incident in the video lol that's all I think about when I hear the name Jennifer Lawrence
@Greg Elchert I had no idea about that. She handled that situation graciously.
Emma Stone is a gem unlike Jennifer even Margot Robbie is more sympathetic.
Her butthole ending up on the internet didn't help her either.
Dance monkey dance
entertain? if they were an artist we would care about their personalities? right that is what you make me understand with this comment. may you confuse yourself, their job is not entertain, their job is acting like someone they aren't.

Did you know that Anne likes abortion?
People who look up to celebrities (actors, singers, yt influencers, etc.) were obviously not brought up with good role models in their life (parents, guardians, etc.) and they have, at some point in their life, filled that void with some entertainment figures who pretend for a living and in-between the pretending spew political nonsense because of their inflated egos which births know-it-all attitudes. These entertainers are more than not people who have no basic knowledge about the world and barely any grasp on reality hence they can teach their admirers nothing much of worth.
I would also add that, IF the system is so patriarchal then, they actually benefit from it by being considered beautiful by the male gaze and so on..
@tomcoop women have also done the factory work in history however they were underpaid but patriarchy back then did benefit men however it brought consequences for them (sacrifice, responsibility for income etc)

And that was only 1 of 50 different weird things she made her assistant do.)
The major issue was seeing how nasty/demeaning her comments were to Josh Hutcherson! Disgusting. Rude.)
No one could do anything about her behavior to correct her. Not only in hollywood, but also controlling media outlets and news generated about Jennifer.)
Having that insight, I didn't care for Jennifer at all while my friends gushed over her. There is a massive facade for what the public sees verses what actually happens on sets.
We all know that her first castings were on Harvey's couch
Not to mention her involvement with married/taken men like Liam and Chris Pratt, etc. Disgusting.
I doubt Jennifer's immature tendencies on sets was charming to Chris at all...)
I mean, on the tour of Passengers to promote the movie, he constantly hilariously trolled her online in a passive-aggressive manner.

Anne Hathaway has class, wisdom, gratitude and respect
Jennifer’s whole career just feels like a typical down to earth valley girl who got her popularity and suddenly became entitled to it because she was lacking attention and rich things in her childhood
But what about Anne’s love for abortion?

Right?? Like you literally played mystique, stop acting like the industry thinks you're unattractive

"The only reason why you won the lottery is because they bought a ticket."
Genius
Narcissist cannot hide their true selves for extended periods of time. The first "likeable" Jennifer was a character she had cut out for herself when being introduced as the next big thang in Hollywood.
A character created be her backer, Harvey Weinstein

I think we’re missing how the cheating scandals surrounding Jennifer contributed to her downfall
If Jennifer hated being a star then she can fade into obscurity. There are a ton of younger aspiring actors who tirelessly audition and would gladly take her place.
She’d rather bitch about it and continue making millions of dollars.

Well... her SUggar daddy Weisntein is no longer there to protect her and get her the money and roles.
It's good thing she never said she was the first female action hero then. Did you even watch the interview or just read the headlines? 🙄
@@musiclover8594 did you watch the part at 7:44 where she literally says “nobody ever put a female as an action hero lead”?

she didn't just have to go through that, her then boyfriemd Nicholas Hoult whom she sent those images to has been living his life like nothing happened.

This is me. I'm gonna be me"
Its not men's magazines writing up what the women wore, who wore their dresses best, who said the right thing and who gave the best interview.
This is all the women's magazines and women judging other women.
Female singers have been around and been cranking out hits for decades before "my rich daddy helped bankroll my music career" Taylor Swift.
Thank God we have recorded history, because current PC culture seems so hellbent on changing or misrepresenting it to suit their narrative.
@@savioblanc. Thank you!! It is women who tare other women down for being “fat” or “ugly”. Most men do not care as long as you are cute they are happy. I don’t judge Taylor against other men, I judge her against women like Carole King and and Tammy Wynette , and Taylor does NOT hold a candle to them.

His answer: "OMG, no it means EVERYTHING to me, everything." They make very few actors, athletes etc like this anymore.
They're not doing anything impressive enough for me to see why they're demanding it so much.

they use that word as their race card.
If she was 'fake and rehearsed' that was because she was shy and self conscious, and there's nothing wrong with that.

Look it up.

Same, also if she dreamed about receiving an Oscar for her acting efforts through all these years and "it came true" - where's the problem?
@@dachsrottweiler It’s her delivery that’s the issue. That whispery, shy, fake voice. The way she “humbly” lowers her head and hides her face in the Oscars press interview.
@@BbGun-lw5vi her PA told her to do so. of course it's quite embarrassing talking like that which is not her true attitude. sound like cringe, her PA obviously wrote that
I always adored Anne, she is still one of my favorite actresses to date, so natural, beautiful and simple, she is even named after Shakespeare's wife😁
the Golden Globes press conference is so cringe she just comes off as a giant mean girl the way she says "we are at the golden globes" such a jerk
i started disliking her after she did a video talk with Tom Hanks.
I loved, "The reason I won the lottery is because they bought the ticket." Wow, such perspective.
Did you know that Anne Hathaway is an abortion lover?
The thing is, and this is not defending Hathaway, but when you act all the time, sometimes being authentic is extremely hard, and you feel very uncomfortable doing it, it makes it seem to everyone as you are lying and being false. It is something a lot of actors deal with; they lose that ability to convey real emotion even if they feel it. As in trying not to act, they come across as incredibly false.
She just changed. Got rich, famous and is friends with powerful Hollywood people. She doesn't need the fans anymore.
I don't believe she changed. She's always been like this. Fake "authentic" and conceited. 🤷🏽♀️
people rarely change. they just become more of who they already are.
I feel like there's an elephant in the room. Its name is Harvey Weinstein....
I was about to write the same damn thing 😂
