They're great accessories for towing single handed, and the lights are nice, but may I offer some points of interest. As the registration plate of the towing vehicle is hidden by the vehicle being towed, a copy of the registration plate belonging to the towing vehicle must be display at the back of the vehicle being towed, and if at night it must be illuminated. Also, you must display a sign on the back of the vehicle being towed that states it is a vehicle that is being towed. They are the two legal requrements. And, it's advisable (especially if a vehicle is untaxed, carries no MOT or insurance, except being covered by the vehicle doing the towing if your insurer allows 'trailers', because that's what it is classed as) that the towed vehicles own registration plate is covered over so any infringement notices are sent to the address of the towing vehicle and not the address of the owner of the towed vehicle, or previous owner of the towed vehicle. There, that's about as complicated as the Govt. website make it. As you said in a different post, it's all a grey area in law.
How do you get around the law that towing over 750kg requires the trailer to have working brakes controlled from ur vehicle when towing with the A frame the cars also becomes part of the trailer so very much exceeds the 750 kg limit

Hi thanks for watching and the excellent comment, you are correct, however this is not classed as a trailer i believe, it's only really for recovery of non running vehicles to a garage, technically. I remember reading that when i was doing research on it. Also the vehicle being towed has to be broken down or a non runner, so not for transportation of running vehicles etc. Hope that helps.

Hi thanks for watching. I have motor trade cover so its not something I've had to think about. Legally its only allowed for recovering a non running vehicle as far as i know. But then camper vans tow cars around with them all the time so dont think that's enforced much if at all. I would say you don't need to have any of those 3 you mention if its being towed. I could be wrong tbough not much info available on it.

nice a frame design. However i wonder about whether that rachet strap could potentially wear through on a long tow
I've used it many times even towing small vans and it's very strong. The straps never come loose and don't rub on anything.
