Just got the SELs after trying the lefty tour irons today. They were nowhere near as hard to hit as I expected and they feel awesome.

What shaft did you go with.

    • @mctit

@@TheVix211 it was the Nippon Tour105 stiff. That's the only one I tried though, so I can't recommend it over any other shaft.

As a leftie not much choice. Have tested the tour which is great though performance wise (ignoring price) found the pxg much better - including feel and performance. Pity they no longer provide the forged in left hand.

Still waiting for my custom fitted JPX921 Tour irons with Nippon Modus One 105 shafts....love the small head, soft feel (not as buttery as the MP20 blade) , great feedback, tight dispersion (on course with the democlub and on trackman in the store) easy to work the ball but with a little more forgiveness (stability frame seems to work) than the MP20 blade. Especially on slight toe misses. They are going to replace my MP18 blades and never liked the JPX line till this line and than especially the Tour. Great explanation about the whole JPX 921 line👍🏽

playing off about 10, just ordered the 921 HM Pro due to its consistency with selected shaft.

New subscriber and really impressed with the content. I'm a Mizuno guy from top to bottom and looking to upgrade from my 14 year old Mp30s. Really excited to demo the JPX921 line and the Mp20s. I think it will be a dead heat with the Mp 20 MMC and the Jpx forged. Thanks guys for the fantastic video!!!!

I have a set of JPX 900 hot metal clubs with Project X 70 gram Regular flex graphits shafts. I am considering reshafting them with N. S. Pro Zelos 7 shafts. Is there anything I should be aware of which may cause a problem doing this? Also, what do you think of using the Zelos 8 (slightly heavier) shafts in the wedges? Thanks for your answering my questions. I live in the States or I would come visit your facility.

    • @foregolfcustom

Hey Mike, no real problem there, go for it.
Yes a little heavier in wedges would help with the balance and control. Good luck 👍🏻

Greetings Derek and Dave. Great informative vid. I'm hoping to get a fitting for the 921 Forged once we get through our lockdowns here in Ontario. My current irons are AP2s with KBS Tour stiff shafts. At the age of 69 I am starting to feel joint pain in my fingers, hands and wrists. I really enjoy hitting on the practice range and the pain is reducing my fun time so I am hoping to include some graphite shafts in my fitting. Would you have any advice as to what graphite might work for me with 5i club speed in 88-90 range?

    • @foregolfcustom
      @foregolfcustom  4 года назад

Good to hear from you. Have a look at the UST Recoil graphite shafts and KBS do a lovely graphite iron shaft. You’re kinda between flex so test Reg and Stiff. Regular will be good for you to help reduce vibration on the joints. Good luck 👍🏻🍀

@peter banton I’m looking at the Forged in the new year and my fitter has a set with steel fibre shafts and he raves about them, they’re an up charge but might be a good compromise between graphite and solid steel

Great review, thanks! Did I understand you right that you consider MP-20 HMB to be more forgiving than JPX 921 Forged?

Yes, down to the size of the covered cavity in the HMB. 👍🏻

HMB are extremely forgiving, small head but very easy to get the Ball in the air. I thought the fitter was BS’ng me but he was correct. Little pricey but worth it.

I heard Chris Voshall on THP live stream, and he said that HMB were more forgiving on a low/high-miss and 921 Forged on a heel/toe-miss. Interesting...
