Breaking Bad follows protagonist Walter White (Bryan Cranston), a chemistry teacher who lives in New Mexico with his wife (Anna Gunn) and teenage son (RJ Mitte) who has cerebral palsy. White is diagnosed with Stage III cancer and given a prognosis of two years left to live. With a new sense of fearlessness based on his medical prognosis, and a desire to secure his family's financial security, White chooses to enter a dangerous world of drugs and crime and ascends to power in the world. The series explores how a fatal diagnosis such as White's releases a typical man from the daily concerns and constraints of normal society and follows his transformation from mild family man to a kingpin of the drug trade.

and to indicate that he's not a complete idiot, just naive

Jesse didn't think highly of Walter. Dude spent his cash elsewhere and got Combo to get the RV. This... Jesse understood something. Walt wasn't greedy and "breaking bad" to get a quick buck. Jesse figured out that Walter was dying and wanted to leave something behind for his fam. That changed his opinion of Walter, and Walters opinion on Jesse changed as well. Jesse knew and experienced the horrors of cancer on a family member. Jesse understood how bad it was.

I find it interesting that Jesse was right about Walt at the beginning. Walt never did it for his family but for himself. He was greedy and wanted to break bad because of his pride. After this scene Jesse would start to believe the lie that walt did it for his family which wasn't the case
@@lamardavisakald4438that doesn't make jesse "right all along" lol. walt did it for himself but also genuinely wanted to leave something behind for his family. it was both not one right or wrong, that's why he refused to be saved by any big donators because he's gonna die like a nobody leaving nothing behind.

this is the only moment in which Walt encourages Jesse and tells him that he can do it, which would lead to Jesse being able to cook at his level in the later seasons. Jesse always looked for something to be good at, but in the end, that thing he was good at brought him tragedy and pain

I believe its due to where the show was broadcasted and what native fps they run at. I know its a problem with Sopranos on HBO as they had to increase the fps of the show to go on their website and in turn had to speed up the audio for it to fit.
