You must have an “open center” valve. It should be a “ closed center “ control valve then you would not need the valve that shuts off the oil to the control valve. Good job for getting it to work. At that time all the other tractors had high volume low pressure. But AC had high pressure low volume hydraulic system.
Good job- glad to see an old WD still working. I did basically the same thing when I bought my New Idea 483 in 1992 around when they first came out. Does yours have the gear down sprockets on the main drive? That's why I chose it over the smaller Hesston most people preferred. For dry hay/1st cut it made an excellent combination, but for rowen the bales tended to be more loose than i'd have preferred, and I never tried to make baleage with it- I just didn't see it coming out well. Moving up to a WD45, I could get a tighter, denser bale but still wasn't impressed with the balers ability to make something silage worthy. Can't complain though, since I knew it when I bought it; the local dealer had demo'd it out all summer and the general consensus was that it was 'no good' for baleage, allowing me to buy it that fall for 40% off its list price! With both the baler and the Allis about as 'hi-tech' as an anvil, you should be able to keep them both at work for another 40 years, easy, my only advice would be to ditch those haybines and spend the money on a disc mower. You won't believe how much easier they make everything about mowing.

Would something like this work to upgrade the hydraulics for my loader, would like to have the ability to tilt the bucket and put down pressure for plowing snow and such
Pump is creating flow on all hydraulic systems all the time, the valve creates the pressure. When you actuate the valve it will go into bypass , then you use the remote lever to run the hydraulics, when not in use I shut it off

It will work , use a single cylinder , and it won’t be fast

This one was tapped when I got the tractor

I didn’t use 1/4 on that it’s 3/8 or 1/2 I can’t remember
